Oof, nothing for me from Aksys (besides Little Dragons Cafe). All the games are cool to see regardless.

I mean, maybe, MAYBE Death Mark, but I am such a wuss!

Two compilations of the existing Ace Attorney games are supposed to be coming out for the Switch but I haven't heard anything more than that it is supposed to happen, as is a NEW Ace Attorney game. I think the two compilations (games 1-3 in one, and 3-6 in another, which covers all the mainline games currently out in North America, that I know of.) were supposed to be this year.

Any time a game event comes up I hope I'll hear something, but there hasn't been a peep. At this point I think it's just a strong rumour, or maybe in the 'vaguely confirmed' category. It'll be two years in September since the last game. (Main source. I saw many articles but I think this is one of two roots of the information for all of them. The Switch is mentioned here.)

This AX seems to be a parade of various types of VN...seems like Ace Attorney would fit. Oh well, I think I've already gotten three games I want to keep my eye on out of it. (Maybe four...I need to go back and count, now.) So it's already got more interesting games than E3 had, lol.

OK, so, after watching the overview trailer of Go Vacation, i'm gonna have to buy it now. It looks relaxing af + you can freely explore and find items to customize your character + a fully customizable house.

I'll probably play as my Mii character because you can and I love games with Mii integration. I'll probably get it digital because I can see myself booting this up just whenever to get a little taste now and then.

Here is said trailer:

I watched a brief LP of the first two chapters of Death Mark and...while I like it I have one big criticism:

Vague spoilers of aspects but not plot
Spoiler:
sexualized violence. Like a lot of the death or danger/critical CGs are overly sexualized for no reason.
Explicit spoilers of ^ above. Warning, potential NSFW description and chapter 2 aspects
Spoiler:
The two i saw were that of a young high school girl being bound with her bra + tits out for no reason and the image of an adult female corpse, or soon to be corpse, being strung up with a thorny vine between her posterior crack showing her full shot of her buttcheeks and her tits out but Conveniantly Hidden Nipples .

Now due to the nature of the chapter i could look past this, but apparently there is more down the line in the game, from what i heard and it just just ???? Like I'm fine with fanservice but I don't want to see a sexualized corpse or soon to be corpse (or just sexualized death) and sexualizing underage/teen girls is just a huge no for me. The one with the girl was especially ??? cause it seemed to serve no purpose.
Otherwise it looks really good. Some of the features (mainly the movement) was compared to Corpse party which sounds like a plus to me if true. Art looks good and story sounds promising (might be repetitive for some but I like those kind of stories/games.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but,
Spoiler:
Didn't Corpse Party also have a lot of sexual violence too? It's been awhile since I played, but I remember a lot of panty-shots on female corpses and other suggestive CGs that we're pretty much sexualizing minors too.
I particularly remember (spoilers for CP):
Spoiler:
The CG for Sachiko before she was killed has her raised up in the air by her killer and is flashing the camera. She's an elementary student so, :/. Book of Shadows was even worse with bondage Yuka having her clothes cut off.

Guess it's not as bad as what you described in Death Mark, but it's about the same, imo.

You're right, it's just been a while since I even watched a LP of Corpse Party that I totally forgot some of the contents (and tbh I kind of later lost interest just cause while the gameplay itself looked fun, I wasn't impressed with the story/narrative in terms of general direction). And tbh as I've gotten older I've grown more and more tired of seeing minors sexualized and just sexualized violence in general. Which is probably mainly that + I forgot about CP's stuff.

But idk just watching DM it just really...came out of nowhere and it disrupts the enjoyment for me. But otherwise it looks solid, that's just my only criticism.

Understandable, I feel ya. I think if i'ma gonna choose a horror game for my Switch, I'll go with the Yomawari Collection over Death Mark. There might be a slight chance they'll censor Death Mark (Aksys has done so before on other games), but I have a feeling they won't (those instances are 5+ years ago).

Haven't heard from Mineko's Night Market in a little while, but they announced some news on their soundtrack at AX today. I don't know the music they speak of though so I don't know if that's good or not...but I assume they intend it to be good news :)

So, Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists had been announced for release in Japan on November 1st. I guess that means if they're gonna localize it, we'll hear something within half a year of that release date? Or maybe they'll take longer to decide since it's a spin-off...

Half a year is probably a good gauge. So far, they(Koei) only have DoA6 in 2019 and maybe Nioh 2 localizationwise. They'll need some padding somewhere. I'm actually kinda interested in how much DLC they're gonna have for this game. Koei loves paid DLC and season passes these days, and with the giant cast that is the Atelier series, I can only imagine.

However, Gust is working on other titles too (like Blue Reflection 2 and other unannounced titles) so I wonder if after the release of Nelke, they'll begin to show them off too. Hrm.

Anywho, there's more info on Work X Work out:

http://www.siliconera.com/2018/07/09/wo ... sama-land/

I really want to see this game in motion.

EDIT: HOLY « Puppy Doodoo », I KNEW IT! They're re releasing the Arland Atelier trio for modern consoles! >:D

I already played the heck out of them though so i'm not sure if i'm ready to buy them again. Totori is very near and dear to my heart though so I can't not buy it! If the West gets them (and i'm sure they will tbh) It'll probably an all in one package.

Hey, hey...Nelke footage! Loooove seeing town building! Dang, I really want it...

Oh and Rorona, Totori and Firis are confirmed in Nelke as well (and some Mana Khemia characters?) I can't remember which one you wanted confirmed, Bluie...was it any of those? Totori, maybe?

EDIT: getting a little interested in Zanki Zero, but not sold, yet. (Old article updated with English version video.)

Cosmic Star Heroine comes out on August 14th on Switch! :D

Man, August all of a sudden became a heavy hitting month now that tentative dates are the real ones after all. Okami, Cosmic Star Heroine, Little Dragons Cafe, and Monster Hunter Generations!?

AND THEN « Harvest Goddess » Wars: The Complete Legend comes out on September 4th! Working all these extra shifts is giving me plenty of money to buy all these, BUT STILL, SLOW THE HECK DOWN, SWITCHEROO.
