New and tentative game announcements
Well, I guess this technically counts as a "tentative game" (as in tentative release date) announcement because Code Vein got delayed to 2019. I'm a bit disappointed at the news. I think I would've been a bit more okay if they hadn't done character trailers this past week or so and made me even more intrigued. Oh well... I guess we won't be hearing about it again until Tokyo Game Show. Ah well, back to knowing absolutely nothing about the release date for Code Vein again. It was nice knowing when the game was coming out for a month.
And in more Bandai Namco news, « Harvest Goddess » Eater 3 has it's own news stream set for next week. Still haven't popped « Harvest Goddess » Eater 2 into my PS4 yet, so I don't even know what the expect from 3.

Finally got to see WORK X WORK in motion!
It looks very... quirky. Like Mario RPG mixed with Mother 3. I'm interested. It's a Switch exclusive so i'll probably get it if localized just to support it.
Edit: Of all the Touhou fangames, this is the one i'd play:

Turn based Touhou. I'm interested.

Yet more info on Nelke. For the first time in addition to showing many cute girls, they're also showing several cute boys, and two attractive grown men. And one weird huge green thing. Kunos has a nice, mature design.
EDIT: YAAAAAAY! Nelke is coming west this winter!! And apparently even still within 2018! If available, I'll preorder this in physical form :D

Yeah, that's true, the article might be wrong, or mean 'financial' 2018. I always take 'coming in 2018' to mean literally between Jan 1 and Dec 31 of that year but with games I often see that they actually meant within the financial year. Seems pushing it to think it'd be out in December.
I'm also interested in this little bit about a mobile game being turned into a Switch game (again...that seems to be happening increasingly for the Switch) but there's so little to go on, I'm not sure what to think about it, yet. And since it's going to be 'completely different' from the mobile game anyway, I can't try looking at that to see what sort of game it is...I just know it's an action RPG. I love action RPGs...when they lean to the RPG more than the action. If they lean toward the action instead, then to me they're fighting games with a bit of a story, and that's not what I like. It's not due until 2020 so no point in getting excited yet even if we did have details, but I like the wee bit I was able to see.
The graphics are beautiful. Doesn't look suited to the chibi character art they say it'll have...maybe that art is just in an opening movie or something.

So, a highly regarded VN, Will: A Wonderful World, is coming to Switch and it'll be localized.

I'll totally get it when it releases. It looks interesting.

SaGa: Scarlet Grace second trailer up today. It's Japanese so I have no idea what they're saying about all those characters they're showing, lol.
I think I mentioned the Jake Hunter games once, but this thread is so long, now...I'm not sure if I already posted something like this. Aksys is going to be localizing Ghost of Dusk for the 3DS this fall, which I was reminded of when I saw that they said they will be doing some follow-up information on recent announcements tomorrow, including Jake Hunter (and Death Mark, Code Realize and Galaxy Stardust Warriors.)
I'm interested in Jake Hunter because I like detective type games (loooove Ace Attorney.) I don't know if this is something I'll be into, since it looks a bit more grim than the silly, cute Ace Attorney stuff (why on EARTH is AA rated M? I will never understand! If the cream puff that is me can take it without even noticing anything troubling, it is NOT worthy of an 'M' rating!) But it's something I intend to keep an eye on, anyway. And if this is localized, maybe the Jake Hunter game for Switch and PS4 (Prism of Eyes) will come over, too.
NEXT DAY EDIT (as is becoming frequent): I know it's not Pokemon, and I don't play Pokemon to begin with so I don't know how much crossover there is, but does anyone care about a Digimon announcement?

Lol! I'm sorry, I wasn't meaning that as an insult to Digimon or anything, I just hadn't heard anyone mention it before so I wasn't sure if I was posting it for no reason or not.
I do always like the idea that you can make choices that actually affect how the game shapes up.
That Jake Hunter thing I mentioned last time has been posted by Aksys today in English. And it's rated T, so now I know. T is fine, though this doesn't look as charming as an Ace Attorney game, since it doesn't look particularly funny. Still, might be interesting since I like mysteries.
Aksys also posted new tidbits today about Death Mark and Stardust Galaxy Warriors and Code Realize (probably the last fandisc) should be next...literally any minute? I'll be checking back for Code Realize news, anyway. EDIT: Oops...there we go. Wintertide Miracles next year. I'm not dying for it so I can wait.

LOL i'm sorry too, I was more like "HOLY THAT'S A COOL LOOKING DIGIMON GAME, I SOSOSOSO CARE!"
I came home to the news and i'm really intrigued. I like Digimon, I like SRPGs, and I like VNs, sooooo yes please.
Only other thing new game wise is they revealed the designs of of « Harvest Goddess » Wars 2:
http://www.siliconera.com/2018/07/18/go ... haracters/
I have the Switch version of the first game on preorder (comes out on Sept 4) because we're not getting Fire Emblem this year and i'd like a good SRPG to keep me occupied in the meantime. If I end up liking it, i'll certainly look forward to the sequel!

The face looked angry, lol, like an incensed duck, so I thought maybe you thought I was saying I didn't think Digimon was worth caring about, or something.
Glad it's something you're enthused about. (EDIT: Expanded info on Digimon Survive, including a new official website.)
Nelke has had more details come out on the exploration...gathering goods and fighting monsters and so on. More interesting to me is that it shows a little more of the town building. :D

QUACK. Yeah, I can see it lol.
I really, really want Digimon Survive. It seems very fresh and like they want to give the series a bit of a new spin. I hope my favourite Mons are in the game so I can build my dream team. I will be very upset if they skip localization on this title.
It's good to see Nelke is shaping up to be an interesting spinoff. This is honestly what Atelier needs rn, a break from the yearly entries that brings back beloved characters from the entire series. The Atelier formula is more or less the same from game to game - but they change settings, characters, and mechanics like how the battle and gathering systems work, but never to an extreme like Nelke is. I think they're pushing that Nelke isn't an alchemist therefore her game is going to be vastly different, and a lot of fans probably want a break (another trilogy just ended and they usually jump right into the next one).
Regardless, looking forward to it.

I had been imagining an angry Donald Duck quacking tirade.
Digimon has never caught my attention before, except that I watched the Digimon: Digital Monsters cartoon, what, twenty years ago? Man, it still feels a liiiitle weird to recall something from twenty years ago. Like, how can I remember something from when I was five?! Lol. (I find my brain stopped adjusting to my actual age at 32. The outside has continued to get older but the inside never really synchronizes with that fact.)
Digimon Survive looks pretty interesting to me. Gematsu has put up a nice summary of the information given so far on the website. I don't think any of that info is new beyond what was in the last two links, but I like the way they organized it in the article, it sort of helped settle it in my brain.
Since I'm not an established Atelier player, I couldn't really say what the series needs from the standpoint of having been with it for years, but Nelke is the first game where I've felt like I've GOT TO HAVE IT. And once I play it, it may make me finally break Rorona Plus out and try it again, even if the gameplay is going to be different. I did see someone complaining after more details about venturing out in parties and so on (with the automatic movements and the like) was described, saying that made it seem cheap, but I really just want to build the town so minimizing other aspects may make me like it even more. I guess we'll see. It'll definitely be a day one purchase for me and I may try to get a physical copy...not sure yet. (If the file size is small I usually just go ahead and buy digital, especially if it doesn't seem like a game I'll want to lend out. Not sure if anyone I know will want to try Nelke.)
