The guy did say that he's aiming for a Switch port. I hope he's successful.Kikki wrote:It's cute. Not my preferred style, but still cute. I'm not really into the idea of playing on Steam, but I tried the demo and it's so simple in controls that it runs really smooth and is easy even using the keyboard (!)
The idea of building or rebuilding a town is always excessively appealing to me even against factors I don't like. I like that the main character is not trying to become someone important...they START the game (at least in the demo) as the hero of the world, having vanquished a great evil prior to the start of the game and waking up not remembering it all. It's an interesting approach. And the characters all seem to already know you! I'm talking to one guy right now who's surprised I don't remember him because we used to go on 'so many quests together!' It's kind of interesting
New and tentative game announcements
I backed it right away anyway, because...terrain customization! And he's not asking much for his packages anyway. Since the controls are so simple and the way the game operates makes it seem like it'd run even on a potato, I don't have any strong objections to stop me from backing it. But ideally, yeah...Switch would be great. I'm also hoping he'll add customization options like crazy
EDIT: Ninja Box has a demo in Japan and about an hour's worth of footage from it is available to see, if anyone cares
EDIT 2: Windscape is out in 2 months. I hadn't heard of it, but it looks worth checking out.

So, Nekopara Volume 2 is releasing on February 14, 2019 in the US on the Nintendo e-shop. It's rated M and cost $15.

I bought volume 1 because it seemed cute and it is/was one of the few well-translated visual novels releasing on the Nintendo Switch/Nintendo Switch e-shop. But I've only played less than hour of volume 1. I should really get on that, too.

I just posted in the Masterpost thread so I can't do it again right now...but here's another farming game coming up on Switch! (And PC and iOS.) Really soon, too, on Feb 7th. The Stillness of the Wind sounds like an odd one, but I'm definitely going to check it out.
It's $13, so I'll probably get it, though I can't tell how good it'll be.
Playstation trophies have appeared for The House in Fata Morgana, so it may be getting close to the Vita/PS4 release, if anyone's interested. You can see the trophies HERE if you want to, though trophies are often spoilery, ime.

Just saw on reddit that Farm Together will be released on Switch this Feb 1 in case anyone might be interested. I remember seeing this game on Steam, didn't know a Switch release was planned.
The game looks alright but because My Time in Portia is also coming out fairly soon and Wargroove release on the same day not sure if I will pick it up.
Stillness in the Wind looks intriguing albeit a bit barren in terms of gameplay.

It is, but the Kickstarter is still running, so you can still back it! He's still working on adding more stretch goals so the more that gets raised, the more content the game will have.XxWizardxMollyxX14 wrote:Littlewood looks adorable, and exactly like a game I would love to play. Will probably end up backing it as soon as my next paycheck comes in. Might even aim for the $50 pledge.
edit: lol, whoops, totally misread it somehow, it's way past funded XD
EDIT: Dragon Quest Builders 2 is getting a post game island called Cultivation Island. :D They keep making that game more appealing. I want to buuuuuuuild!

So, these two game are releasing on the Nintendo Switch on February 14, 2019 as well. This is in addition to Nekopara Volume 2 that is also releasing on this same day. 3 games I'm interested in are releasing on the same day!!!

These two? Which two? Lol.
Anyway, I don't know who Nikkei is, but Gematsu seems to be treating them like a credible source for the information that Nintendo will be releasing a smaller version of the Switch (more focused on portability) in 2019. (As well as that it's going to create a 'more expansive' version of their paid online program.)
EDIT: Ooh, look at this avatar customization in My Time At Portia! All those options, and that's JUST the 'upper face'. You can choose your brow shape, slant, thickness, the height over the eyes...etc. Seems like you can make yourself a very unique player character, if you want to

Hm, well, this has caught my eye. I would've skipped over it as it doesn't super catch my eye first glance, but it has glowing reviews on Steam and seems to be a pretty good VN overall. I'll certainly put it on my wishlist when it shows up in the eshop.
June 4 is not too far off. I always see a lot of people pestering for Q2 on Twitter, so hopefully the announcement of a release date has made some of them happy
It won't have an English dub, though, which I'm sure will get some complaints.
Detective Murderer Jack the Ripper has a trailer, now. It looks a bit grim for me, though it does look interesting. It's not one I'm excited about, though, since afaik, we don't know yet if it's going to be localized in North America.
