Awesome stretch goal for Littlewood has been reached! The Town Beautification System, which will implement a 'beauty level' for your town, and where you can further customize things, as far as I can tell. I so wanted that.

I don't care much about Senran but what worries me is the producer's statement that the censorship regulation is worldwide / will spread to other consoles...but then again I saw someone say that those words never came out of Takaki's mouth and it was Inside Gamer (the JP news site Gematsu is citing this) that mentioned anything of the sort. Still, discourse becomes a « Snuggly Bunny » warzone whenever things like this are discussed in other places.
Also long time no see folks.

Hey! It's been awhile.
Yeah, personally, I don't give a damn about Senran Kagura, but the Sony censorship has been making several fanservice games take a hit. From some games being denied release, to planned features being omitted in final releases, and some games completely jumping ship to other platforms.
PS4/Vita used to be the systems to get your lewd games (barring PC, that's a whole other can of worms too), but now that's no longer becoming the case. Nintendo has gotten a little more lax since the Switch's release, and while it's enticing for companies to release on it instead, optimization becomes the next issue (ie: Compile Heart's Fairy Fencer port needs a few patches before it's worth playing).
Again, personally, this doesn't really affect me because the types of games being hit aren't my cup of tea, but I do get the discourse around it all.

Nice! Glad to see it's got some breathing room after Nelke. That's 1/4 games on my MUST HAVE wishlist this year that now have a date.
The lack of a Nintendo Direct has kinda had me scratching for news, but two things have caught my eye. Apparently, To the Moon is going to be making its way to Switch. I've wanted to play this for a looong time, so I hope it's true.
There's also another VN coming over for Switch, PS4, and PC called The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa. Looks like a mystery or thriller? Regardless, i'm in.

Speaking of VNs, I forgot that i'm supposed to be getting a Switch key for My Girlfriend is a Mermaid at the end of this month. It's already up in the 'coming soon' section of the Japanese eShop (with english supported), so I guess it's ready! Looking forward to play it. This'll be my first kickstarter game that's delivered.

So, the Danganronpa Trilogy is coming out for PS4 for $60 on March 26, 2019 in the U.S. But, all 4 games are available on Steam already and have the ability to go on sale there. I don't see a reason to port the series to PS4/PS Vita. And the trilogy collection is only the first 3 main games, and not all 4. So, it seems like a waste of money?

So, about the rumour all over the internet that there will be a Nintendo Direct on February 13th...I think it's fairly likely, and not just because the source has been known to be right before. We're gonna get one sooner or later for sure anyway, and it's already later, in this case, with it being the longest we've ever gone between Nintendo Directs before, so...why not?
But about the supposedly leaked release dates for various games, including September 13th for Animal Crossing...those I consider rather less likely to have anything real behind them. Retailers rarely have the correct date for games being released so far in advance...they usually use placeholder dates. So...meh. It could be true, but I wouldn't be comfortable putting any money on it, that's for sure. The screenshot even looks a bit odd to me, though I'm not at all familiar with 'base.com' anyway. They do still have the game up for pre-order as of when I'm writing this, though.
I'd be a bit disappointed if it were true. The truth is that September would actually be a great time, real-life wise, for me, since summer is so busy, but...I've always felt, ever since the Switch came out, that we'd get an Animal Crossing around June 2019, so September 2019 seems too far away! But that's all in my head, of course. (Though I do think it's a somewhat stupid time to put out an AC since that's when their biggest market...kids and young adults around college age...are going back to school and getting busy.)

The flagship games are just the 3. Ultra Despair Girls is a spin off, so while a nice addition, you don't need it to understand what's going on in the main games. I can see why they might choose not to include it in a new port. Fairly certain all 4 games were originally released on the Vita, so I imagine they just think more money/more audiences can be made by porting them to the PS4 - perhaps this means another flagship game is in the works. That would be awesome.Harvest Moon kawaii wrote:So, the Danganronpa Trilogy is coming out for PS4 for $60 on March 26, 2019 in the U.S. But, all 4 games are available on Steam already and have the ability to go on sale there. I saw that one yesterday when it was even less of a hint, lol...just the tippy top of that plant. I'm not really familiar with the company or their games, so I suppose it could be some existing game series, but...maybe it's something new? Something to cash in on the major trend that Stardew started and that has made the Masterpost thread so long?
That'd be nice. The more farming/gardening or just any life sim that major game devs are doing, the happier I'll be. But I really don't have a clue what that really is.
EDIT: If anyone wanted to play the Spyro Reignited Trilogy but opted out because it didn't come to Switch, it looks like it might be a possibility after all. Maybe. But stuff gets listed wrong all the time, so...very big grain of salt, here.

COULD WE JUST HAVE A NINTENDO DIRECT? PLEASEKTHNX NINTY, I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT.
Edit: Looks like this is what NIS was teasing.

...Sure? Seems interesting? Having some of the Octopath devs behind it certainly has me intrigued.

Blech, looks like a girlie game to me, which...no. Thanks. If I'm gonna play a game all about an attactive group of a specific gender, I want it to be an attractive group of guys, thanks, NIS.
Attractive groups of girls in games are a dime a dozen. I also really dislike post-apocalyptic or dystopian anything...unless it's not a feature. Like...Portia is supposed to be essentially post-apocalyptic, and yet, it doesn't really play any active or obvious part in the game, afaik.
Oh, but...I don't know if that's it? Cuz Gematsu just reported that the new game represented by the plant drawing is going to be announced in the Feb. 14th issue of Weekly Famitsu, so if that game was already announced a few days ago, it might not be the one? Maybe? The dates are pretty close together. Plus I think a lily represents yuri, which is what that game looks like it's gonna lean toward, to me.
So, no official confirmation of a Direct from Nintendo yet, though it's still very early in the day. If they don't confirm it, do you think then the rumour of a Feb 13th Direct is false? Or does Nintendo sometimes allow or even encourage or stage 'leaks' rather than announcing them themselves, to drive interest up? Sounds pretty effective to me but I don't know if that's a thing they'd do. Seems almost too convoluted, but maybe there are established rumour-starters out there who Nintendo feeds information to themselves. Does that sound too conspiracy theory?
Well, I know we're gonna get a Direct eventually, whether or not it's tomorrow.
EDIT: Was just talking to Ehppy about how a lot of otoges are getting ported to PC lately, and look at that...Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk is going to PC.
NEXT DAY EDIT: Ummm...I just found Commander Keen (Keen Dreams, the fourth CK game, iirc) on the Switch.
I had no idea that was even coming. Wow, that's a blast straight out of my childhood...
