It's been awesome. Can't wait for Xseed to give us that promised release date for Cold Steel Definitive, too.
Littlewood's Kickstarter is over, now. If you don't feel like clicking the link, then... On April 25th, backers of the appropriate tier will get Beta Access. On May 5th, almost all other backers will get Steam Early Access for a nearly complete game that will probably be missing some of the bonus features like the extra games and special locations and so on. Then, in early June, all the Kickstarter rewards are supposed to get sent out. He's got a short timeline going on! I suspect it's not a super long game, but hey...I just want to make a cute village! The full game, complete with all extras and kickstarter original creations should come not too long after that.

Joining you in your salty corner because no FF6 either :c There was an android release, and this is a long shot but like... I wanted to see FF6 in 3D
It's nice to hear them sound excited about the project. Apparently there's more to the name Silksong than just a reference to Hornet?
Thinking on it a bit...there's a chance Silksong could be good for people who want to experience a world like Hollow Knight but aren't as skilled with the combat, just based on Hornet's attack and movement options? That would be cool! :D

Another shock for me on the direct, but so happy about it! It's looking amazing and I can't wait to get my KS copy this summer!
Me neither on Bloodstained!
Rope, I have to wonder if they're avoiding FFVIII because it would look horrible on the current gen systems and beyond. Plus, THIS ARTICLE offers some interesting speculation.

Man, reading the comments in that article is mostly people attacking others for their preferences. It starts out civil but then turns into "VII IS THE BEST RRRRAAAAHHH" "NO IT'S IX BOOOO" "VIII IS SUPERIOR"
Woof, chill out. I have a general dislike for VII and VIII, but I ain't gonna get all hot and bothered when someone claims they're better than my favourite. I have had someone in RL verbally attack me for my favourite Final Fantasies (Which are V and IX), and it was an experience i'd like to never have again lol.
Baaaack on topic, I noticed that ALL the FF Switch titles got dates expect Crystal Chronicles Remaster. That's arguably the one I want the most, so i'm in first world problem pout mode. I loooooved the FFCC NDS duology - a huge part of my adolescence, and I really want to play the original! >:0

Not exactly sure where to put this, but I honestly don't like making threads, so here it is. Since it's for new content that we thought was previously lost forever, I suppose it somewhat still belongs here.
Pretty much ALL gaming news and announcements that don't seem to warrant an entire thread of their own belong here
And that's good news...I did want to read about those extra episodes. (I never planned to actually PLAY them, just read about them after others had played them and wikis got updated.) It feels like the extra info is needed for those characters, particularly Lunafreya.
NEXT DAY EDIT: Oh hey...Falcom is going to show some Ys IX footage on March 24th! AND Kondo's going to be talking about the future of the Trails series, which is pretty exciting for me, as I think it means they're gonna tell us what will come after Cold Steel now that that arc is complete in Japan...Perhaps they'll tell us which region they're heading to next and so on. I SO want to see that. Plus I think there's a pretty good chance the next arc of the Trails games will come to Switch.

So, My Girlfriend is a Mermaid has a release date on the US Nintendo e-shop.
Title: My Girlfriend is a Mermaid (A.K.A. She is Mermaid)
Release date: February 28, 2019
Price: $19.99
Rating: T (Teen)
Publisher: Sekai Games
Developer: TALESshop
I was wondering if anyone has played the English Steam release for this game and if it is worth it? Is the English translation good? How is the story/stories?
Also, I was debating on buying My Girlfriend is a Mermaid (this), Cinders, or Tokyo School Life for my Switch? Which one (or two) are the best option(s). All of these games are also on Steam, but I've never played any of these before.
Tomorrow (February 19th) I am getting Steins;Gate Elite for the Switch as well, and I want some good e-shop visual novels. I have Planetarian (by Key) on my Switch, but that is the only other high quality one on my Switch. Most of the others (that are) done by D3 Publisher and Operahouse are very poorly translated, and I don't want to waste so much money anymore.
Thanks so much for your help!!!

I'll be getting My Girlfriend is a Mermaid as I was one of the kickstarter backers and they'll be sending out our keys next week. I'm willing to do a little review of it after i'm done playing it, but it might be a little bit as I don't think there's guides out for the proper decisions in each route yet.
So far, the only complaint i've heard of is that the MC has the capacity to be a huge jerk (you can see such in one of the screenshots on the eshop - showing the obvious worst choice at the bottom of three).

Oof @ the Mermaid VN MC. I might buy on Switch though, just for a VN on that system. Although Steins;Gate Elite is already out. Decisions decisions.

I'll let you know if his personality is prevalent throughout, even in the good decisions. The Steam version of the game has no english reviews, but it's highly rated by those who have played it. The complaint about the MC I read was in a diqus chat, so it could be more their opinion, but it could also have been true as well.
I'm excited for it regardless. Been awhile since I played a VN, and I really like mermaids, so I hope it'll be a good ride.
I hope we get dates for Clannad and World End Syndrome on Switch soon. I reallyreallyreally wanna play them!

This game Haven looks potentially interesting, since it's an RPG, but I can't tell what kind of gameplay it actually has. They stream around like birds, but it's about 'everyday love, rebelling against the rules, and food'. I...don't get it, yet. But now that it's made me go ??? I have to keep an eye on it, lol. I haven't heard of this 'Furi' game that the company made before so I have nothing to go on. I like the music, though.
C'mon Xseed...give us that CS I Decisive release date you promised was coming soon...I wanna know when I can play one of my all-time faves again, all fresh and new. I also really want to hear what's up with Sakuna.
Oh, and a date for Mineko would be nice, too, since it's still listed on the eshop as coming 'early 2019'. What counts as early 2019, anyway? I can't think of anything after April as early in the year. Cuz if you divide it equally into 'early', 'mid' and 'late', then to me early is Jan-April, mid is May-Aug and late is Sep-Dec. But I don't know if there's some rule about what 'early'means in game dev terms. Maybe the year is only divided into two...'early' and 'late'...so anything before half the year has passed, lol, meaning any time before the end of June?

New english trailer for Nelke & The Legendary Alchemists;
Looking great! I'm really looking forward to this title. I wonder if we're gonna be getting any pre order/early purchasing bonuses? I'd like to get the Gust-chan DLC, but it'd be great if she was free! :3

More discussion on how Trails of Cold Steel is over now in Japan and Falcom is deciding on where to take the series next, and how they want to tie up some loose ends with Cold Steel. Though this is just a reporting on a few things Kondo has said...no real information until March 24th at the Dengeki Game Festival.
This is a topic I am very, very interested in. (Personally, I think it's pretty likely the next place in Zemuria we'll be seeing is Calvard. I wonder more about the setting. I hope it's not a school setting again. Cold Steel did that well but I want something new, this time. The world really doesn't revolve around high school students...) I also want to see more about Monstrum Nox, so I'll definitely tune in to see what is said at that festival.
Ever since the Direct, for some reason I've started to crave the next big Zelda game. (-___-) Too soon to start hankering for that one, me, too soon!
Oh hey, some chatter about Oninaki, too. They're saying it's going to be an intensely shocking title? Hmm...I really don't see how a mere game could ever be intensely shocking. Also, I never liked Chrono Trigger. I also really disliked I Am Setsuna, sooo...even though it looks interesting, I'm betting this is not gonna be my game.
And for some reason, the more coverage I see of Nelke, the less I want it. It's not because I what I see is bad or anything, so I don't know exactly what it is. I guess it's because the only reason I want that game is to build the town, and the coverage mostly shows things like combat and so on, which are things I don't enjoy from the Atelier series, so it's reminding me that the town-building may actually only occupy a very small part of my time when playing. Which is not what I want, lol.
