Many of the end slides don't reflect the nature of the supports. I haven't read it myself, but I've heard numerous folks on Ushi who've read various supports that the main lords, Rhea/Sothis, and Linhardt/Dorothea/Mercedes are in fact romantic in the supports. And Linhardt BETTER be a romantic support for m/m if he's the only option, gracious. I'm glad to hear they didn't make all of those platonic at least. The past couple days have been such an emotional roller coaster for me with this whole platonic support debacle.
That's a good plan though, Kirie. I kinda suck at video games, not gonna lie, so I may well end up playing on Normal/Casual but we'll see if I'm feeling ambitious.

You can romance Claude as F!Byleth, yep! Their S support is romantic. Their ending, however, isn't (it's kinda like some of the other characters, more political/story related) don't let that bother you though because S support ending CG is SUUUUUUPER cute!!
Linny's S support is romantic, for both M/F so that's good news!
Definitely no shame in playing on normal!! Whatever is gonna make you enjoy the game most, for sure

Yess, thank goodness! He was my first choice since forever, and I don't really like any of the other boys as much from the ones I've seen.
And that's good, in regards to Linhardt!! I didn't think they would just remove 100% of the m/m romance, but then, I didn't think they'd include only one when f/f has 5 so ... SHRUG, glad they didn't end up with a 0/5 ratio though, lol.
Very true!! The fandom can be a little severe when it comes to playing on lower difficulties, but I tend to enjoy some more laidback gameplay. :') I'm very quick to get tilted, so the less times I have to retry a map, the better LOL.

I warned myself and knew inevitably that some numpty was gonna do it but I still got hit with a spoiler from YouTube. I was SO CLOSE...guess it just ain’t meant to be lol. Anyway, guess that’s a sign for me to peace out soon. Although, I’ll probably still hang around here until I actually get it, haha.

I'm definitely playing on Normal and probably won't do Classic mode with permadeath. I did permadeath for Fire Emblem Awakening and ended up just restarting constantly I also prefer more laid back gameplay... plus I want to actually get through all 3 houses playthroughs which from what I've read means like 90+ hours of gameplay total... so uh... normal difficulty it is!!

Going to play in Hard/Classic to see if I could manage higher difficulty though it is tempting to do a Normal/Classic run because I heard there's unlimited skirmishes.

Bought my copy early this morning. Will let you know what I think once I'm 10 hours or so into the game. Will probably do a lesbian Byleth Black Eagles file and then a M Byleth x Lysithea Blue Lions playthrough. We'll see.

I got my copy 6 hours ago but I have work so I only made it in the naming screen which as usual, I'm stuck what to name my character.

I usually have the same problem, but as Byleth isn't a customizable avatar, I'll probably just leave it as is. With Kris, Robin, and Corrin I gave them my name because I could make them look like me (more or less). Byleth is less of my character and more just the protag like Alm/Celica.
That's how I see it anyhow.

Its here! Cost nearly $50 more than I was expecting all together (had to get warranty/insurance on it cause I've heard how funky switch systems were in the past and I've had defected consoles before and didn't want to have to fight getting a replacement for something over $300) but switch and game are heeeere!
Not sure what Im gonna do first. M!Byleth or F!Byleth. Let alone which route. *sweats*

Awesome that some of you are getting them, I'll hopefully get mine within the next 3-4 hours! I'm really excited for this game! I've decided to do blue lions/black eagles/blue lions/golden deer (first playthrough will be completely blind, I love to have a perfect runthrough of each route and I don't want to wait for blue lion's story which is why I'm playing it first)

Ahh it's the day!!! Not sure when I'm gonna be able to pick up my copy just yet, but that's fine because I still don't know which route to pick first. TuT
I haven't actually seen all the characters; I wanted to go in mostly blind, but maybe that wasn't a good idea because it'd be nice to have an idea of what house I wanna go with first. I might have to start a couple of different files, lol.
I also prefer more laid back gameplay... plus I want to actually get through all 3 houses playthroughs which from what I've read means like 90+ hours of gameplay total... so uh... normal difficulty it is!!
