Hello, all. 'v')/
I don't post on here frequently, but I thought it might be fun, since I just got a bunch of games for Christmas - and in general have so many left to complete.
I'm usually super flaky with games also, so maybe having them all written out in front of me will help me get around to finishing them!
Spoiler:
Games marked with a • I haven't started yet!

3DS
Etrian Odyssey IV
Etrian Odyssey V
Fire Emblem : Awakening
Fire Emblem : Birthright
Fire Emblem : Echoes
Miitopia
Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney Trilogy •
Pokemon : Moon
Rune Factory 4
Story of Seasons : Trio of Towns
Yo-kai Watch
Yo-kai Watch 2 : Psychic Specters •

Switch
Battle Chef Brigade
Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild
Mario Odyssey
Pokemon Let's Go : Eevee
Splatoon 2 (+Octo Expansion)
Super Smash Brothers Ultimate

PS4
Spyro : Reignited Trilogy
Tekken 7
Dragon Quest : Builders

PC
Stardew Valley
Guild Wars 2 : Heart of Thorns Expansion

Mobile
Fire Emblem Heroes : Book III
Dragalia Lost - Chapters 4-7
Love Nikki - Chapters 15-17

In addition, there are a few that family has that I may borrow at some point, and even older games that I might decide to pick up again, but this is the bulk of my backlog at the moment! Again, I'm very bad at finishing games. Some of these I started years and years ago, and others I may just drop altogether. umu)v
I actually just started Story of Seasons today after getting it for Christmas, which was what prompted me to come on here again. It's been a long time since I've played a new HM/SoS game, so I'm pretty excited! I think my last was A New Beginning. n_n which I ... also never finished

I've made the stupid decision of starting 7 games, Spider-Man, « Harvest Goddess » of War, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Cattails, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Atelier Rorona, all at once, so I was trying to balance all the games so I don't fall behind. That's not working, lol.

I was going to try and finish Assassin's Creed Odyssey first, but Spider-Man is a lot of fun guys! I'm going to finish that up first and then Cattails because I believe I'm almost done with the story there as well; I'm dating Slip, I have 3 gems, and I'm missing three items to finish the pillars up. Atelier Rorona will be next as I need to see if I truly do like it, and, so far, I do; the characters are charming as heck with Cordelia being my favorite. Assassin's Creed Odyssey or « Harvest Goddess » of War will be next because I've done so much already with the former title and I'm very interested to know what's going to happen with the latter. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and Spyro will be later as I didn't progress far in either game to think I'll miss much. The other two Atelier Arland games will be after all these are done.

And that's my current plan with the games I got at Christmas time. I'll be sure to put them on the back burner once I get new games; January is going to kill me with Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Travis Strikes Back - No More Heroes, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Mages of Mystralia.

Holy crow, Shortybread...you just won the prize for having the highest number of really fun games to complete. That list looks like candy to me. Admittedly, you're winning this prize with me as the sole judge. I love Ace Attorney, Trio of Towns, RF4, BotW, and DQB, and really like FE: Awakening and Battle Chef Brigade. Normally when people show their backlogs, I barely know what half of the games *are*, lol, but yours is stuffed with things I've already played and was super into. :) Even the ones I haven't played are ones I have heard of and sound like cute, fun games.

Lol @ Ronin19. I can barely manage to play two games concurrently. I can play 2 or 3 games at once if I don't particularly like any of them, but if I'm enjoying a game, I can ONLY play that game...it's like with books. If I start a book and like it, I don't set it down until it's done. There's none of this 'I'll read one chapter tonight, the next tomorrow, and a couple on the weekend' kind of reading for me...I don't remember how old I was before I found out that that is actually how most people read books. Not me! Always devoured all at once, generally in a 6 to 8 hour sitting, lol. Once I start something I like, I'm too into it to want anything else to divide my attention.

I don't think I have the ability to divide my interest. Once divided, everything crumbles into ruin. (For me, that is.) Seven current games sounds like madness, lol. I probably would end up remembering myself as Rorona, webslinging from arcane pillar to arcane pillar, trying to get to her wedding, where she's going to have to finally choose between Alexios and Shulk by giving one of them all her gems.

It wouldn't be pretty, anyway. But it sounds like you're having fun with everything you've tried of what you've got going on so far, which is great :)

Plucked a game WAY out of my back-backlog and have been enjoying it lol. Sweet Fuse: At Your Side. The art is fun and colorful, although it's not as "pretty"/bishounen-filled compared to many otoges. It's more interesting and unique-looking, and I believe it's the same artist as the Phoenix Wright series to boot. Anyway, I've completed 2 routes and yeah, I'm glad I dug this one out!

I loved Sweet Fuse. Meoshi was my favourite. :) Towa my least favourite. But then, I never like the shota of these games. Though it was a bit rare in that Meoshi was barely older than the shota. I basically liked all the routes as far as story went.

Meoshi is a big fave aaa.

I loved Sweet Fuse and its art and its main character. Most otome men are too sparkly for me tbh and sweet fuse got it just right.

It's been ages since I read it, so back to the backlog it goes!

I finished Atelier Rorona and Totori last week.
Spoiler:
I ended up liking Rorona a lot more than I thought and think I'm going to try and get all endings for it someday.

Totori was...okay. I disliked Ceci and the way she treated Totori and Mel for being creepy towards Mimi. (Mimi was 14.....please don't talk about her butt.) Seeing the returning characters was nice and made me appreciate Rorona even more.

I hope Meruru will be my favourite but we'll see!

@Mikodesu
Ahh hey, Ni No Kuni buddy! lol
We can play together, in a way. :)
I get swept up by day one releases sometimes because I like to be playing games at the same time other people are, for whatever reason. So we both get a motivation boost on that one!

Ohh YIIK looked really interesting! Hope everyone has fun with it.

@Shortiebread
Spoiler:
HAH yes, as you tackle your backlog you'll be playing all the games I want you to play so I can talk with you about them!!

Also all of y'all are making me a lil jealous. I always wanted to play Sweet Fuse but I lost my PSP charger ages ago, assuming a dead battery is the only thing wrong with it. Alas.
Actually, I only ever had one PSP game, and I kind of hated it, so it's no surprise I lost track of the charger.
But enjoy! It looks to have a really unique style among otomes. I dig it.

Heck yeah Ni no Kuni buddy :D

I have no clue what the psychology behind it is but I always have more fun when I'm playing a game at the same time as somebody else. :) So this'll be nice!

Starting Chapter 3 currently. Really enjoying the game...I did bump it up to hard though, which is unusual for me. Hopefully that makes bosses last a little longer. They've been pretty fun so far.

Running into an artifacting issue on my computer now though...it had been a while since I updated my GPU drivers though so maybe that will fix it. We shall see I guess.

Finished Sweet Fuse! It's good to clear off a game from part of the blitzed list. Ayumu Shirabe was my personal favorite, which is weird for me because I generally don't like the ojisan types, but they rolled him in with my favorite intelligent-glasses-wearing type, so... yep
Spoiler:
I really disliked the hidden character, from his appearance, ESPECIALLY his hair, to his voice, to his ending. They did manage to tie up loose ends and round out the story with him, but yeah. I found him tedious to go through.
Anything else is 100% dedicated to 2019 now, since any other games I have left to play will take me way longer than just today to finish, even if I sat and played for 12 hours straight (which will never happen).

I loved Ni No Kuni II (though I didn't enjoy the first game, to the point where I gave it away after playing about a third of the way through. I just found it really dull.) Putting your own kingdom together was just an aspect I really liked. I'd love if they did a game focused even more on kingdom-building, but more detailed and with customization and so on. Not sure how that'd work, but I really liked even what was there.

Sweet Fuse (actual spoiler!):
Spoiler:
Yeah, I didn't like the final ("hidden") route, either! It was such a bummer to be forced to end the game with a route I didn't like. The character is just...bleah. Not gross or detestable or anything to that level, but I didn't find myself empathizing with him or being interested in him at all. Thankfully once you've done it once, replays are however you like. I can't be bothered to ever go through his route again. I don't think there was anything I liked about it. It felt like it dodged the whole point/theme of the rest of the game and was just floating outside of everything else.
I so far can't get into Night in the Woods. If it continues this way, it's gonna be an exercise in will-power for me to finish it. My own fault, though...I suspected every time I looked at it that it just wouldn't be my type of game. Everyone else I know IRL is still asleep so really, I should be playing it RIGHT NOW. I could even be playing it while riding my bike on the trainer, so I've no excuse not to. Guess I'd better grab my Switch...

EDIT: Finished Chapter 1 and love Mae's parents, but...I don't get any of the other characters at all. Kole and Bea have some potential at this point. Mae is the one I get least of all.

EDIT 2: Done Chapter 2. Half finished?

EDIT 3: Reached Chapter 4 unexpectedly, so must be done Chapter 3.

FINAL EDIT: Okay, I'm done. The story didn't make a lot of sense to me, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to feel. I've never had any feelings in common with what the characters express, and for some reason throughout the game Mae was not very nice to characters I liked and seemed to wish her well...I guess I just don't get it? I think this may be one of those games where you have to have more of the same experiences to really get it. I don't understand what the game was about. Basically I'm finishing up on a confused note, lol.

I just want to say that Felicity is so pretty ;u; I also love how she's so enthusiastic about food. Yuri is super cute too!

I just triggered Rod's purple heart event as well and aaa omg that was really cute >//< He didn't appeal to me at first, but among him, Allen, and Neil, Rod's such a breath of fresh air lol. The latter two are quite confusing for me; idk if they like the MC or not. Neil is mostly grumpy but has decent dialogue when you talk to him more, while Allen is more approachable but can say... unkind things sometimes.

Welp, i've got a bit of a cold right now, and as it's a pain to try and game while you're coughing all over your screen, I haven't been playing too much. I'm in the second dungeon of Moonlighter almost ready to take on the boss, also on the second dungeon in Labyrinth of Refrain, though just on it's 2nd floor (sidenote: the enemies are so adorable in this area, I feel so bad killing them).

I did scratch up enough to preorder YIIK, so it's ready for whenever. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker also arrived waaaay to early, so it's... here lol. I was hoping to at least get one game done before Tales of Vesperia, but I highly doubt that's happening now. ToV is going to dominate my time, no doubt in my mind.

At least February is totally dead (except for maybe Remilore???), so I can use it as a catch up month.

Finished Death Mark yesterday, good game overall. I enjoyed the story, the characters were great, OST was fantastic, and the art is lovely. My main criticism is that idk if it's worth $50, although the price isn't so bad but in general ehhh. Also, don't appreciate the unnecessarily sexualized images but w/e.

Super spoilers
Spoiler:
Twist was good and many events/secrets I didn't see coming. Still not crazy how they really didn't solve the situation with Mary at the end, but I assume that's sequel bait.
Wish there were some more save spots tho cause I had to redo a part and sweet sassy molassy that took too long.

I am completely done with Insomniac's Spider-Man. I loved it so much! I wish I got it when it first came out because it deserves all the praise it gets. I really want a sequel and/or more DLC; lots of questions that need answering!

Time to move on to Cattail, and I hope to finish this by Friday; I just need two more orbs to finish the main story and Slip is at a green heart.

I'm heavily debating getting Undertale for Switch, but my friends and sister have kind of ruined the game for me by constantly talking about it. I have it on PC, but 1) Currently have no motivation due to friends and 2) I vastly prefer controllers to WASD.
