If you want all the DLC, go onto the eshop and search 'Tales'. It'll be near the end of the list, but there's two things - one is all the costumes+accessories while the other is a bunch of free stuff (items, levels, gald). It breaks the game, but it's nice for those who want it.

okey dokey, I played ANB today and I'm on Plan Restoration #2. My crops are also starting to bloom for the harvest competition, which is good news for me since I failed the spring competition so I finally get to redeem myself as a virtual farmer this time

although I'm not excited to be unlocking Allen, he's a « Rick ». I don't want douches in this town, Neil is already enough for me to suck up his "kind" compliments

I love that they gave us a lot of the bonuses in ToV: DE for free. For someone like myself who played the game 4 times back in the day, making everyone OP is the best thing ever. Only drawback is making extremely powerful weapons too early - you will miss out on a lot of skills that way, so I'm actually following my original pattern (read: pretending I'm dirt poor) for weapon upgrades to ensure I learn all the skills in a normal, progressive fashion.
I ended up going back to the English voiceover because I adore the original performances so much. It is, to me, INCREDIBLY jarring when Troy Baker is swapped out for Grant George in the new content, but I will deal with it. Obviously if the changes are too distracting for anyone, I'm grateful they gave us the Japanese voiceovers as well.
My husband hates it when I play a Tales game because they call out every little thing in battles lol. It's never been one of my favorite features either, but I guess after playing a dozen plus entries over the years, I've learned how to tune them out REALLY well.

So I got Tales of Vesperia the same day my new SD card arrived. I thought a nice, 19-hour rest would have all my digital games reinstalled and ready to go. Nope. Only 5 of my games installed and I'm waiting for the rest to install and update. I find it no big loss; I already played and beat Tales of Vesperia, so I'm in no real hurry. I'll just wait for everything to finish installing and then I'll play it. Maybe I can beat my canon run for Mass Effect 1, and if it's still not done by then I have a slew of other games to play.

I got all the DLC but I'm going to leave all those nice free levels for later in the game, when it's harder to level up. Yuri is 19 right now, which seems to work fine for where I am. I'll use the free levels more toward the end, or at the very end, before NG+, so that I can use them all again in a potential second play-through to eventually hit the level cap. (200? I don't actually know...didn't check.)
I'm having a very hard time with the saving-at-save-points-only thing, as I get so tired so fast that I can be in the middle of a dungeon-like area, far from the last or next save point, when I suddenly feel like I just can't keep playing and MUST stop, or simply sag out of my chair and fall asleep on the floor. (This has not yet happened, and I'm pretty sure it won't, but it's how it starts to feel!) I have had to quit three times already, and twice I had to struggle along until I finally found a spot to save.
I have yet to hate any characters. Flynn bugs me a little...he strikes me at this point as being preachy about things he doesn't really understand...but it doesn't actually make me dislike him. I also have no idea what the theme of the story is yet, except that they use the word 'blastia' with an almost painful regularity, lol. I don't know who the bad guy is, if this game has an overriding villain at all. I guess at 7-8 hours out of a 70 to 80 hour game, that's not weird. Tales games do tend to reveal the true nature of the story fairly late on. I'm pretty sure I only have half my party members, where I am. There are at least four more that I know of.

Well, I can cross off Mass Effect 1 from my list again. I never get tired of playing and beating it. Still, have a long way to go regarding the download of my entire Switch library. I'm hoping maybe by Tuesday it'll be done because this is taking a long time.
I'm probably now going to switch between Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Mass Effect Andromeda File 6.
My wallet is hurting; I'm wishlisting and buying so many games because they all seem so interesting and fun to play.

I do NOT like Flynn, darn it. He's so annoying! So self-righteous, he just....earugargh. He acts like he's Yuri's father, always telling him how he should behave and what he should do with his life. I just...argh, I can't stand the guy. I don't know if that's supposed to change, but right now he's got my teeth right on edge. He seems popular with the fandom...am I supposed to like this guy?
I saw two games I'm interested in on PS4 all of a sudden. One came to my attention because NISA posted about it so I saw it on my Twitter page...Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is 50% off right now and actually looks interesting. And because I looked at Psycho-Pass, I ended up also looking at Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak: Special Gigs. It looks interesting as well, though it's not on sale so it's not a candidate at the moment. I'm not sure about either, but Psycho-Pass being on a good sale makes it extra attractive. As usual. -__- I can't tell if it's just mystery or also some horror. I don't care for horror.
I've got my hands full with Vesperia for a while anyway, but...sales, darn it. I don't even need another game; there is a lot of good stuff coming up pretty thick after this. Cold Steel Decisive and Relentless, Caligula: Overdose, Nelke...and Sakuna, too...they should all be out by the end of March (not sure about Nelke).

I don't think you're ever SUPPOSED to like anyone in a game. Fandom or not, Flynn can definitely be overbearing. That said, I don't mind him, but he's not my personal favorite either. He's sort of like the antithesis of Yuri in some ways. My memory is fuzzy on whether he tones down much or not by the end of the game.
Not sure how far you area in the story, but if you've received the Dark Enforcer title, you've probably started to see some interesting character developments in Yuri.

I actually do think characters are often created with the intention of the viewers/readers/players liking or thinking favorably of them, just like some are specifically created to be disliked. And since the whole Flynn/Yuri friendship/whatever thing seems to be a big deal with the fandom, it seemed to me like he's one of those characters they're setting up for me to be interested in in a good way, but so far it's not working. He just really gets to me when he's going on in such a way as to make it feel like he's telling Yuri to comb his hair and sit up straight. When he tells him how he has to speak to nobles and so on, it's very 'argh' for me.
I don't have that title yet. I have a whole bunch of titles that are basically just the costumes, and in addition to that, the only titles I have are...let's see...
They seem like fairly basic stuff, most of them from battle. Titles don't actually do things in this game, do they? I mean in some Tales games, changing your title changes some of your traits, but in this game it seems to do absolutely nothing, unless the title is a costume change.
I still only have the same party members I've had since pretty early on. 3 you almost start with, plus two others who came in a bit later. I think there have to be at least 4 more and I've met I think 3 of them. Don't know when any of them will actually join, or if I've met the 4th one at all. Time wise I'm a little over 10 hours in, but a lot of that is just standing around in a daze, looking around the internet while in the menu, so I'd say I'm really about 8 hours in. (It's running right now, for example.) I haven't been able to progress quickly...I'm just sleeping so much right now.

Titles don't boost stats. A few posts swear they do, but 99% consensus says they offer no stat bonuses, and if they do it's extremely well hidden. I enjoy the costumes though, so I always collect titles when I can. The title I mentioned before gives you a costume.

Speaking of titles, most of the ones I've got either came with Definitive from the start, or from the free DLC you can grab off the eshop. I love the costume I've got Yuri wearing right now, which is (hidden in case it's a spoiler, though I don't see how it can be since it's free DLC)
. It's spiffy and helps with the weird body proportions all his other stuff gives him. If the title you mention is available through the story and will be gotten as soon as you're far enough along, then I haven't gotten there. If it's available via missable side quest, then I've missed it.
I definitely agree with the 99% in this case, then...these titles do not appear to change any stats or skills any way, unlike, say, Zestiria, where the titles were a bigger deal because they level up and with each level up you get skills/boosts, like higher stun probability with attacks and so on.
I'm sure when (if, if it's missable) I get the title you mention, I'll go "ohh,
that's what ryume meant..."

But I don't think I'm there yet. (EDIT: I looked up title requirements and because I never sleep in inns unless the game forces me to, I'm pretty sure I missed the requirements for the title you mentioned and won't be getting it in this playthrough.) That's okay; I'm probably going to concentrate on the main story this time and not bother with extra stuff...I'd rather have extra stuff to do on a second play through and breeze through other stuff with a higher level.

I was really only using the costume as a progression marker. A better question would have been have you been to the desert yet lol

I'm currently at a dark foresty place with lots of roots. But the game blocks off so many chests that I can see and nearly get to...I'm thinking maybe you come back here later, perhaps much later since it went to the bother of blocking so many chests off. I haven't been to a desert yet.
Hmm, should we make a separate thread for Vesperia? I don't want to bog this thread down with so much talk on just one game.

If you want to, it's probably a good idea. That way we can chit chat back and forth freely without aggravating the others lol.

Okay, it's done. No more currently-in-play Vesperia blabber in the backlog thread for me
