Hakama made 2 posts on Twitter in the last six hours but I do NOT understand them. Here, if anyone else does:

Haaaaah thanks Fin. Gotta love Mist's antics. I wonder if RF5 will start off as a running gag or homage to 1 e.g. protag falls unconscious and stranger gives them a watering can and a plowing hoe at first sight.

How would you guys feel with Rune Factory 5 potentially having two character designers? One of them would be Minako Iwasaki and the other would be Ototsugu Konoe, the artist behind Fate/Apocrypha and Lord of Magna / Kinki no Magna (Neverland's last game which was in development when they went bankrupt). Highly doubt it'd ever happen because of aesthetic / style clash (not like it's stopped recent Tales games though) + the fact Kinki no Magna failed in Japan but a RF game where a half of the cast is designed by Iwasaki and another designed by Konoe would be cool. The latter did some pretty cool male designs in Lord of Magna, like this guy:

TBH I saw most of the dark elf maid thing as kind of a foreign citizen exchange work program? Although maybe not "exchange" but more like a temporary visa work thing or something. Like a cultural exchange. Or sponsorship while you tend to nobility in another land for a brief period of time. Idk. Less typical servant-servant relationship connotation.

Although, given that our pool of dark skinned characters in RF series is tiny, and that the pool of dark elves is even tinier, the fact that like 2/3 of them are servants is not a great track record, although I don't think it was intentional.

Not even sure if "dark elf" is an actual term in the series and is just inconsistency on Natsume's translation. Tabatha and Minerva are never referred to as "dark elves" in 1 and then Frontier iirc. The RF Official Guide only lists one elf nation and not two or a "dark elf nation" for that matter. If anyone's played the JP version of Tides/Oceans and can confirm, it'd be a great help.

I don't dislike the Lord of Magna character style, though I find it a bit simpler/less pretty than is my preference. It wouldn't be my preferred choice for RF5, anyway. If they blended two styles together, it might get us something really unique, and it might be great, but if I was asked if I wanted Lord of Magna's style to be used in RF5, I'd say 'no'.

Heads up: unless I'm mistaken, we're not going to get anything new probably for RF4 Special in the Nintendo Dream issue that comes out in two days. I took a look at the magazine's table of contents preview on Amazon and RF4 Special wasn't among the titles with a feature or special section. The issue is a Smash themed one. Most likely it'll be part of the Nintendo Direct recap that I spotted in the magazine's ToC.

That and Nintendo Dream Web published their online coverage / recap of what was revealed of RF4 Special so far a few hours ago and nothing new.
Helloooo waiting hell darkness my old friend. Oh well :v I'll have a ton of other « Cow Poopoo » to look forward to in the mean time. Augh suddenly July feels like it's ages away, moreso than before.

Nah, wouldn't count on it. Maybe an audio appearance in a drama CD that'll come with 4 Switch or 5. Personally I prefer if we had little to no cameos for 5 just to signify the beginning of a new arc after the one that we saw end in 4.

For shout outs, I really hope they don't take an actual character slot. Plz no. I don't mind the occasional name drop but I want new, fresh meat.

Cherubae posted a link in her Farm'n Friday update today, to a Nintendo Dream article about RF4S that has quite a few nice images in it, if anyone wants to look at it. I think they look beautiful, personally. I love the event screenshots.
