I got to the credits and I saw your name Kikki! Lots of backer names still scrolling so I came here to report this. =)

Ha ha...thanks, Murasaki :) I also spotted my name in the artbook. My name is short (since I went for first name alone) and pointy...not a single rounded letter in all five!...so it sticks out of the masses, maybe? Yeah, the project got 3,708 backers, so that'd be a big whack of names to scroll on by.

Didn't play the game yesterday as I don't like to play MTaP in the evening, as if it is anywhere near bedtime it winds my brain up and makes it harder to get to sleep. So I'm still around 'almost halfway' through the main story. I'm at the South Block development. I really liked building the Green Wall just prior to this. :D

So tired of carbon steel bars. It's almost a treat to be asked to make something that uses copper bars, these days. Or something that doesn't uses bars at all. And I've yet to come to anything that needs manganese bars. I'm sure it must be coming, but I'm still at a very unimaginative part of the crafting, I guess...carbon steel bars coming out of every orifice. At least I've gotten to making stuff with aluminum, now. The electric furnace takes up WAY too much space for a single crafting station, though. Especially for something that only makes three different items!

The never-ending need for carbon steel bars does get tiresome quickly. The search for Lubricant seems never-ending, too. I do wish we could buy that somewhere. You are right about the Electric Furnace, Kikki...it is way too big and way too slow. I built a second one and I still have to wait too long for the ingots I need. I'm up to the developing South Block part and it's progressing so slowly due to the need for so many aluminum products.

I can't remember if it was the Ruins #2 within Portia, or the Desert Ruins that had it, but I was running into so much lubricant in one of them that it started to annoy me, lol...I was actively avoiding anything that matched the silhouette of lubricant on the scanner. Though maybe I just haven't gotten to the part of the game where I needed a lot of it. I'm on the South Block Development, too. I did just start the first part, though.

Well, I finished "the story" and don't have enough gold to buy the last land piece or upgrade my factory (not sure what good that does). Guess I'm supposed to make more stuffs to sell and/or donate to the museum (complete all the bits of relic things clogging my boxes). Maybe get Mint to level 12 so there's a baby but heard that's just another chore with no future.

I started a new file to see if the Pez head glitch will go away but it's soooo hard chopping 3490639463 trees with no stamina. Didn't notice if the game originally had all the customization for characters when I started when the Switch version first came out so my new character looks better than the original.

Probably keep playing until WoW's next patch comes out anyway.

I just finished the Portia Bridge in my new file. Currently on autumn 21. I take back what I said about Arlo - his accent is actually Australian. And it's a shame Mint's English voice is so grating because literally everyone else is tolerable to great, but as I'm pursuing Mint in this file, I may just go back to Chinese voices or no voices at all.

I feel like the drop rate of certain items that practically POURED into my inventory on the Switch is different on PC. Valves, lubricant, old parts, mucus... I've had to go out more than once to farm these things. I also feel like dried apples and dried meat dropped in abundance on Switch, but it's pretty stingy on PC as well.

I feel guilty that I told Arlo (he's at 10 hearts and my BFF lol) not to pursue Nora, but only a little :)

Finished the mine rescue quest and it was completely random but I love that Sam was the one to ignore going back to town to decimate the snakes in the region.

I think I've got MOST of my production under control, though having a little help as backup is nice. I'd like a couple days with no quests so I could go back to decorating my house, but at the least the end of year 1 should be smooth sailing.

Well this patch is a failure. Had another crash on my new file after a busy day. So very annoying.

Aw, sorry, Murasaki :( I've had a lot of buggy glitchy stuff with MTaP but honestly, no actual crashes except when trying to harvest oversized crops, not before OR after the update, so far. That really stinks.

In my game it was Remington who did that, lol. Everyone else just rushed back to town including Arlo and Sam but Remington started whaling on any monster in sight. I don't know why that difference is there...it is just down to whoever gets aggro-ed? Because he went quite far out of his way in some cases!

Also, the whole mine part was kind of fun as time froze...so no waste of time...and Remington was a great sidekick, he really beat them up well, which saved me a lot of trouble. AND he gave me a great weapon that really whomped all those snakes. I let everyone else beat the boss for the most part...I just ran in circles around the Flying Pigs members while the boss chased me, and they beat him up FOR me. I had to get a few whacks in, but mostly it was them. Which I like. So nice when NPCs actually make a difference.

Also the other day I got a great hat without having any idea where it came from, unless one of the little hopper snakes in the desert dropped it. It has more than six times the defence of the hat I had been wearing! I like how it looks too, unlike the meidi hat, but I still make it invisible so that it doesn't change my hairstyle.

Oh wait, no...looked it up. Turns out I got it as a reward for a quest. Wow, pretty good reward. :)

Hmm, maybe I should re-download the game. 7 crashes since patch means something's wrong!

But starting over...yikes.

I'm not sure if it works the same with every game, but deleting the game itself usually doesn't delete your save file...that information is usually saved separately within your profile, on the system itself. However, if there's something wrong with the file itself, I guess there's that, too. 7 crashes does seem like a LOT. I did have loads of bugs and I still find it rather glitchy (in fact, I have less bugs but it runs much worse post patch than it did before, imo. Less lag in dungeons but more lag everywhere else, kind of.) but I haven't had any outright crashes. It does seem like you're having a crazy amount of them, Murasaki...must be hard to have fun with it at that point.

I'm supposed to be playing MTaP right now. I have time. But the thing is, MTaP is not the least bit cozy or relaxing, to me...it's hard work! I get super into it once I DO pick it up, but everytime I have to psyche myself up for it, like to do a chore I'm really not into, lol.

A couple of crashes were on my new file that I was testing. So probably the game itself. I should go check Team17's tech support.

Meh, I hate doing stuff like that for a video game I play for amusement! (I'm an IT tech IRL)

Edit: So tried to put in a Support Request at Team 17 which is ALSO borked. Typed the form up twice and both errors with some kind of error with captcha. Lousy pos website.

Just had my third (I think..might be the fourth) post update software error. It's so annoying to have the game close itself like that. Re-doing days sucks.

That stinks there are maybe even more bugs post patch for some of you guys :(

I finally had my birthday in Portia! Usually I choose a winter birthday in these types of games to ensure I will have everyone befriended by the time it rolls around for PRESENTS, but I really wanted Kendra to be an autumn child, so I went with autumn 25.

I walked out of my house in the morning and saw Nora (!?) walking by, which has NEVER happened, especially since we aren't even at play level yet, and I tend to ignore her anyway over petty jealousy with Arlo LOL. Anyway, it was a stream of citizens marching in front of my house, dropping off gifts in front of my gate, and then running away. It took me a second to realize it was because it was my birthday. I honestly thought it was very sweet and cute :)

Since the photo thread died, here's a pic of most of the loot. I received five or six more afterwards

That's nice!

I picked my birthday, which ended up being a few days after the wedding scene. Nobody brought any presents or said nuthin. They're all at buddy or higher. The husband and the mayor and Albert are all high hearts. Maybe there was another event (don't think so) but that was super disappointing.

Oh pooh for my character. Yeah, my game must be borked.

Edit: Re-downloaded the game last nite and so far so good. Lag when opening and closing my bag is shorter and no crashes! But then only played about 2 hours.

Edit2: Did everyone give up? I've had 3 crashes since reinstalling the game. What a piece of llama-pile game this turned out to be. The bug fix patch is a failure. They better patch the patch!
