Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town for Switch
Glad to see my main man Won is still marriageable. Still gonna have a file to marry Brandon, because new experience and all that.
Something I've been wondering is how XSeed is going to go about localizing the names of, well, everyone. I feels there's a lot of nostalgia in play with this title, and doing direct translations over Natsume's names is the proper thing to do, it may cause some drama. IDK if anyone remembers, but a while back Xseed localized Lunar Silver Star Harmony on PSP they retranslated the songs (Opening and Boat song) and I recall the upset surrounding it. Xseed explained that their new translation was basically one-one rather than whatever was done with the songs in the original PSX version, but most were having none of it. I even had a few friends irl who were upset about it. IDK, kinda inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but I'm interested nonetheless.

As far as I know the Asia release is the same day as the JP release (Oct 17), with Sega Asia handling the publication.iloverainbow wrote:Is the game going to be released on Taiwan or Hong Kong eShop? I know you can pre-order the game on Japan eShop currently.
I hope they allow for more than 1 gift per day like in the original game, where the first gift was worth the maximum friendship and subsequent gifts were worth less. At least with this version you can carry items in stacks so there's no need to teleport back to the farm house to grab more gifts for Gourmet when he's in town for a few hours
OOOO if the interview is to be believed it could be entirely possible that XSeed could localize the "Best Friends" System as a more proper same « Chicken Hugging » marriage.....
That is so exciting!
I'm really glad the TV shopping show is gone. Hopefully that means you'll be able to get the items quicker than once a week. I'd love to have a kitchen earlier.
Normally I wouldn't get my hopes up for a possible original-character-designs DLC (even though I like the new designs for the most part), but these developers have seriously surprised and impressed me, so I'm staying open-minded.

Agreed. I also hated having to wait each week just to buy one cooking utensil. This really makes me wonder how we are going to acquire furniture now, though.quigley wrote:I'm really glad the TV shopping show is gone. There are just one or two character redesigns I don't like but even I wouldn't like a 'original-character-designs DLC.'
It takes away the whole idea of this being a remake.

For furniture, we could probably get it from the general store or the carpenter, depending on what it is. Maybe that could be Brendan's new role? Or Jennifer has all her old cooking supplies and sells them to us?nongo wrote:Agreed. I also hated having to wait each week just to buy one cooking utensil. It doesn't say we can't give multiple gifts per day. It says they are fixing a bug where the player would gain additional relationship points for giving gifts on birthdays only.Anna_Lynn wrote:Oh no, if we can't give multiple gifts to villagers per day anymore, then now it will really take 50+ years to marry the Gourmet.Spoiler:![]()
Unless the developers decide to have him...idk, stay at the inn during the Springtime, or have him stand in the town square once a week or something.
I honestly didn't even know there was such a bug.

Same. Plus you had to be in year 5 at least (for the goddess and Kappa; even later if you wanted to marry the Gourmet). I don't want to wait that long!Mecha-Lollipop wrote:I'm very open to marrying one of the special candidates if the events are good. I just can't ever do the ship everything requirements. I don't have the patience. Or catch every fish.
I like getting married early so that I still have plenty of things to do to pass the time while I wait for my child to be born and grow up; if I've done everything there is to do before getting married, I know I'll end up just sleeping to skip ahead to the next event. That's not as much fun.
