Tree fencing

How do you build a fence around the tree to stop the weather. I put one around my trees but when the storm came it wiped them out.

Building a fence around a tree is something that works in Sunshine Islands, which is the game that came out after Island of Happiness. In SI there is a dedicated island that grows fruit trees where placing a piece of lumber at the tree's base will build a temporary fence to protect it from storm damage.
