One more first time clear crossed off the backlog: finished Pokemon Sword today! Yay! I really had to push myself at the end there, but I finally got my Zacian and my shiny charm! Though I am feeling a bit too burnt out on Pokemon to go shiny hunting right now, but both games are ready for the DLC now and maybe by then I'll be in the mood for it.

I suppose I ought to try to finish Portia next on the Switch, though I'll probably be tempted to watch the Animal Crossing direct yet again, lol, so excited for it! I may also pick up Skytree Village again and work on getting all that ore needed for marriage I never found enough of.

Ronin19 wrote: Thanks! If getting the baby was still 3 months after marriage I might have continued to play it, but 3 months after I got the big bed? No thanks. Mikhail is sweet after marriage. So glad I went for him. Now I just have 3 more Harvest Moon games left before I'm fully finished with the series. Just need to finish the GBC ones. If anyone has any tips on the 3 GBC games, let me know. I've never played these games before, so any help would be nice.

I'm already on chapter 7 of my 5th playthrough (doing Blue Lions again and I'm gonna marry Balthus), but I don't think I'll finish it before RF4S comes out. Maybe, but who knows. All I know is I won't finish RF4S before Pokemon Mystery Dungeon comes out. My goal then would be to finish both games off before Animal Crossing New Horizons comes out. If I have time before ACNH comes out and I beat both of those games, it's back to FFX.

Oof, yeah that's a long wait. I always get bored waiting for the babies, lol.
That's really impressive though, that you've almost beat them all! I missed out on a lot of the early ones so I don't have any advice, but best of luck!

Nice nice! I'm not sure who to pursue in my current FE playthrough but Balthus is definitely an option. I like him quite a bit so far.
That's a really good list of games to be playing, IMO. Have fun with 'em!!

I think I just hit chapter 13 on my current FE playthrough, so I probably won't totally finish it before RF4S, but it won't take me much longer after that, probably. My copy is on track to arrive this Tuesday. So excited.

Oh, and congrats Greensara on finishing pokemon and getting the shiny charm!! that's quite a feat.

Rune Factory 4 Special is arriving today. Was supposed to come tomorrow but I got lucky and the mail went quite quickly and it'll be here a day early, instead. Just in time, as it seems like I am coming down with a cold, lol. Hopefully it'll pass without becoming much more, since that happens to me sometimes, but I have a stuffy nose and hot sore eyes and a sticky, slightly scratchy throat. Kind of suggests a cold. And my baby sister is already swaddled up with one of her own, so the germs are definitely going around. Gotta be careful not to give it to my dad! Being on chemo for the second time is enough on its own.

But if this IS a cold, it seems extra nice that I'll have a really good game to play. :D Thank you for getting it here one day early, Canada Post!

EDIT: My game is now in my grubby little hands. (Actually my hands are kinda big, and very clean because I'm trying to avoid spreading germs especially much right now. So...the game is in my somewhat large, immaculate hands? That just doesn't sound cute...) It's funny, but the sound effects. Why is it always the sound effects? Even more than the soundtrack, the sound effects drag me back to my first time playing RF4, just as it was with Commander Keen. Anyway, this feels really nice...can't wait to start driving all my skills up and crafting spiffy goods!

EDIT 2: After a long time not playing, I tend to forget why I love Porcoline so much. Because he IS weird looking, and if all you see is a quick video clip of him, he talks really weird, too. But picking up the game again reminds me constantly of why he is the best guy in the game, bar none. Dang it...

^ Aww Kikki I'm getting excited just reading your post. Congrats on getting the game a lil early!! I hope you feel better soon, but how nice of them to give you something to do while you recover. :)
Porcoline really is great. I keep wondering who those returning characters in RF5 are gonna be, and I wonder if maybe he'd show up.

My copy is set to arrive sometime before 11 PM tomorrow, lol. I don't think I'll even play it right away since I still want to finish Fire Emblem before I do, but I'd rather not be staring out the window until 11 at night, heheh. Either way, it'll be in my hands soonish.

Good news for me! It seems fate has decided to intervene and decide for me. I don't know what happen to be honest but a member of my local Nintendo group informed me that RF4 Special is already available last Sunday after I lamented to the group that I was informed that there will be delay. Anyway, I got my copy last Sunday. I only tried out the game for a couple of hours as of today because I'm not yet done with Cindered Shadows but hearing their voices in Japanese makes me feel like I'm playing for the first time. Granted it's been a while since I last played. I was planning to go after Leon but when Arthur was introduced, I decided to go after him again. He's just so sweet! Can't wait and I'm currently on Chapter 5 of CS so I'm almost done!

I've also remembered why Arthur was the guy I had Frey marry first, even though he was never my type. He's so flirty. More than anyone else in the game. Just the fact that he gave me the impression that he was the most into Frey from the start made me feel like I was supposed to go for him, I guess.

I did the first dungeon on Spring 2, then tried to get a bit of other stuff done and ended up doing the second dungeon on...er just after the Bean Tossing Contest. I think Spring 11. I don't remember it being this easy to get the dungeons done so early, before I even have the ability to forge my own weapons, armour or medicine or anything. But I guess it is. Or I'm just better at it than before. Anyway, the two guys I'm considering for Frey this time are Vishnal and Dylas, since in my other files of the original RF4, I had Arthur and Leon already. Not sure which one it'll end up being. If one makes his event way easier to get, it may just end up like that. :) (That's part of what happened with Arthur, too! His events popped up without me even looking for them.)

Porco is so sweet. This is the most generous guy in the world because he just loves people so much, and so happy and grateful for everything he gets, too. Dang it! Lol. You're killing me, game. Again. But I'm having lots of fun :) I hope everybody'll enjoy replaying as much as I am...or playing for the first time!

What was your difficulty level? If it was easy that’s probably why.

I never enjoy struggling to win a fight, so I always play on easy, both now and back then, too. :)

Making money is difficult, at the beginning, when you have so little crafting and farming options. But I have managed to get my simple cooking, knife cooking, medicine-making, forging and crafting. I have my liscence for the better cooking stations but I can't yet afford to buy any of them! Lol. Well, nor do I have enough material gathered at this point in the game, to get all the cooking stations. I'm gonna have to go exploring more to scrape up some extra stuff! I think there was more stuff in the spring field and I know I didn't gather any of that. That'll be the first thing I aim to do when I play today, I guess!

I also have one monster barn, so I guess for Spring 13, I'm doing okay...ish? I need to make fuller use of my farm field, I guess, and grow an entire field of turnips, cuz I am always broke. I've been leaving most of it, trying to gather extra wood and stone, but I need the money more. I think. (I need both!)

@Kikki

I envy your ability to be able to woo other bachelors. I swore that I would go after Leon this time around but when Arthur was introduced I fell in love with him again. TT-TT Maybe next time Leon. I've just finished Cindered Shadows this afternoon and started my RF run now. I've been learning as I go since I didn't researched beforehand to refresh my memory but I checked up what's Arthur's favorite food are so time to hunt for salmons again.

Leon is my absolute favourite because of his backstory, which I find to be the most complex and interesting of anyone's. I always really get into characters who make me want to write fan-fiction! :)

I'm the same as you in inclination, though...to just go for my favourite every time. I initially want to go after Arthur like the first time, because of his flirtiness. And then I think...'no, no...wait for Leon...you KNOW you love him best!' But I do quite like the other two and want to try their final events and marriage/kid stuff, too. I can decide after I've played a file for all 4, which I actually like best of all. Though I suspect it will always remain Por...er, Leon. :)

EDIT: Found a Prelude to Love (drink) sitting on the ground. Then killed a fairy-like think and it dropped another. My money problems are temporarily solved. Though my material woes are not! I have nowhere near enough lumber to make any more cooking stations. Oh well, at least the other stations are all made. I need to increase my weapon and armour making skills now, as the third dungeon's monsters are tough enough to make it rather risky with what I have now. Glad I have the airship liscence...bypassing some of those monsters is nice.

Finally went back to Concrete Genie and completed the game. The final boss wasn’t too difficult to beat. Easier than most battles that I’m used to but I still really enjoyed the game.
Next I started Yoshi’s Crafted World. I already got 2 out of 5 gems retrieved in the game. I’m close to getting the 3rd. I was hoping to power play and zoom right through to get the game off my backlog but each level is getting longer :/
I was hoping to have it completed before starting RF4S but seeing as to how I’m getting that game today and my mom agreed to let me play it on the tv for a bit; I might have to postpone Yoshi for a bit. We’ll see.
After I get that off my backlog, I have Mario + Rabbids lined up lol.

Another Arthur fan here checking in. I've tried to do other files marrying Kiel and Doug and just couldn't. Always went back to him LOL.

I think i'm halfway through Shadowbringers. I'm 3 levels away from being a level 80 white mage. Realizing I'm most likely going to be missing out on a lot of exp from MSQ, I've decided to take up samurai (because i'm such a samurai nerd) to soak up the extra exp. I do plan on eventually learning how to use it, but I'm so overwhelmed by the hot bars LOL. Defs gonna have to watch a tutorial on how to properly do combos and rotations. I thought about taking up another healing class, but nah, babysitting 24/7 isn't always fun and it'd be nice to have a fallback. None of the other classes interest me besides blue mage, and it's not even a full job so I don't think i'll be touching it until they make it one.

So, I was't able to beat one route/play-through of Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ before Rune Factory 4 Special arrived. But, that's okay. I still have more time to finish it all before Code Realize ~Future Blessings~ releases on the Switch.

Also, made more progress in Pocket Card Jockey in that I unlocked the 5th horse!!

I also went back to Piczle Lines DX and did 3 more puzzle in the Puzzle section (non-story mode).

I started Rune Factory 4 Special and I downloaded all the DLC available beforehand. I'm on the first or second day, I think, and got passed most of the tutorials. I met as many townspeople as possible and leveled up my skills in lots of areas. Think I still have more people to meet. I also planted a lot of turnips. My player character is female and named Megan. I named my farm "Fantasy" and I think I'll woo Arthur. I'm really enjoying it, but reading all available information available to you was kind of overwhelming to me since this is my first Rune Factory game in over a decade.

My digital copy of Murder By Numbers unlocks on March 5th!

The 6th I'm getting Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX and on March 20th I'm getting Animal Crossing New Horizons. I have a lot to look forward to.
