I triggered it! As soon as Dylas got to 10 hearts, I got his marriage event, For Clumsy You. It's running now. :) It triggered so immediately that I'm wondering if the proposal events have a high priority and will trigger right away as soon as you meet all the qualifications.

Still working on the last room of RP1, as my staff and spear skills are both low, so I'm having trouble mashing those stupid mages that hide behind the big block barriers that you can't go past. So I have to either increase the range of the weapons I already have, or increase my spear skills until I'm able to make one powerful enough to actually damage them. Which would take FOREVER, but oh well.

EDIT: Finally got my spears up into the right level. Those little mage things are gonna be Swiss cheese!

EDIT: Yup, finished RP1, and got married, just in time for the Wooly Festival to pop up the morning after the wedding. I feel like taking a little break here...gonna make a few more weapons, too, when I get back to it, which will need some grinding for materials since a lot of the drops become rare on these higher-level weapons.

Steam has an ongoing visual novel sale ^^

I'm set on getting Hatoful Boyfriend (I wanna see what the craze was about, and at less than USD2, why not ). And maaaybe Astrologaster and the Zero Escape Trilogy..

For backlog stuff, I've been trying to catch up with my Japanese studies since I was on vacation so I haven't been able to make much progress with Octopath, except that I've started my second chapter 4, which is Olberic's.

Played Dylas' post-marriage content, and tbh, I wasn't crazy about it. I am now not all that curious about the content for any of the others, either. It's basically just one more town event, and annoying because you have to re-find many of your transport spots. It also seriously grosses me out to have Dylas actually neigh in human form. Even if that was meant to be a joke, lol. Also, Dylas is nice, but now that I've married him, I can definitively say that he's not really my type, not compared to Leon or even Arthur. (That's probably my ranking. Leon, Arthur, Dylas/Vishnal, Doug, Kiel.) With RF4S, I'm just glad to have this great game ported (and spiffed up) to the latest system. The added content doesn't matter.

Not sure if I'll play more today or not. I've got some unusual running around to do. Notably, I have to go to the post as early as I can to mail a package and then take my sis to and, a few hours later, from the hospital for a day procedure. Then I'll probably have to baby her a bit by going to pick up whatever she wants to eat and so on. (Once she gets ensconced in her pile of pillows and has someone doing her bidding, she tends to milk it.) If I do play I guess I'll be material hunting, making the best I can, and clearing out RP2. And RP3 if my stuff is good enough for another level, but it seems as though at this point in the game, you need different weapons for every new floor. I don't think I'll be aiming to unlock NG+ at this point, since I'm really not interested in going through Sharance Maze.

I managed to finish Makina's route in Fruit of Grisaia. I say 'managed' because I thought I only had a little but left, but it ended up being 3 hours more. Not that this is really a complaint, but I had other gaming plans yesterday and ended up juuuust finishing Makina's route before my husband came home from work.

Now that i've had a full taste of the series, I do want more. Makina's story was really good and I'm thrilled there's more of it once the 2nd and 3rd games unlock, but It seems they're not going to until I've done EVERY girl's route in the first game. Now that I know each route is an average of 4-5 hours each, I think I can plan accordingly. Also not having to to the common route again (It's SOOOO LOOOOONNNNGGG...) will be quite helpful. Amane is the next one I should be doing, according to the guide i'm following, so I might get on that soon.

However, I think what I might do is limit myself to one route per week, because while I did enjoy myself, I'm also kinda emotionally drained??? If Makina's route is anything to go by, the sunshine and rainbows will turn into deeply concerning situations again and I don't think I'm up for it right now. I'm already knee deep in Makina's story and have no issue continuing, but as I can't and have to watch the rest of the cast (probably) have something horrible happen to them, I don't think I'm game at this very moment. Maybe next week?

I think I might open Cold Steel III and start playing. I'm fully aware that it's emotionally draining as well (if the previous two entries showed me anything, it was how upset I could get over fictional characters loool), but I think having just a straight JRPG might be a good cleanse too. I WAS waiting for NISA to announce CSIV, but they're either dragging their feet or being sneaky about it. I don't see why they wouldn't release it and it's pseudo fifth entry that's currently being made in Japan down the line. They've been good their entire track record at bringing over numbered entries, so unless they outright say 'we're not localizing CSIV', it's coming out. The only things they seem to be afraid of localizing is Visual Novels made by their parent company.

I highly recommend Zero Escape! 999 is one of my favorite games.

Just finished my first playthrough of Valhalla (VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action). It wasn't bad. I liked some of the characters and the humor. It didn't grip me like I thought it would from the description. But part of the problem could be that I always played it late at night before bed (bad, I know), so I often got really sleepy and maybe didn't comprehend it as much as I could have.

Parts of it were kinda boring and I kept forgetting characters' plotlines since there are quite a few and they come and go. But I'm glad I got it and I think the developers did a great job, even if I wasn't able to appreciate it like it deserved.

Just got Steins; Gate Elite. I've heard so many good things about it, and I've really been in a visual novel mood lately. Should be fun!

So, went to my therapy appointment today and talked about my obsession and worries with gaming more. So, hopefully I can get it sorted out on my own within the month between therapy sessions.

I got one more picture drawn on Pokemon Art Academy, and nearly completed one picture in Piczle Lines DX. But, I'm going to have to wait to complete the picture in Piczle Lines DX because no online walk-through exists, and I have to wait until my perspective renews. Kinda scared to pick Rune Factory 4 Special back up, probably because it's currently making me anxious.

I was going to finish all the story mode of Piczle Lines DX and start Murder by Numbers, but I'll wait on both since I can't complete the picture in the first mentioned game.

The problem with the puzzles in Piczle Lines DX and the drawing in Pokemon Art Academy is that they all get harder and longer, meaning I'm going to have to spend more time on each 'level' for each and every level or drawing or section. :(

Tomorrow, I'm picking up Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Teams DX, and I'm thinking about starting that. That's because I saw online that someone already got a bunch of codes/passwords online for it.

I kinda want to start NG as well, and make it past the prologue that we did at Anime Club last week. But I'm unsure.

I just bought AI Somnium Files from Steam's VN sale. It was a hard decision because I have to control myself on what to buy. It's between AI Somnium Files ($12) vs three otome VNs (totaled to $14). It took me two days to decide since I backed up Glided Shadows by Steamberry Studios (the group who created Changeling) on kickstarter. It will be a while but it will be worth for sure. It's the last day of work week and looking forward to play RF4 Special throughout the weekend!

RF4S update: I triggered Forte's marriage event and have a save file after I proposed to her. I'm also fed up with Clorica repeatedly telling me no (She's at 10LP), so I'm now doing the reset trick to see if that'll work. I'm still missing one or two of Margaret's events before I can activate her marriage event and Dolce is below 10LP, but only slightly.

At the moment, I have two requests from Eliza: Harvest a Red Crystal and Give Arthur a Turnip Harvest. I'm growing both necessary crops and raising my cooking level, which is at 84 or 85.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX is available if you have the digital version, but I'm putting it off until I'm completely done with my Lest file and my Blue Lions route in Three Houses since I'm pretty close to finishing both of them off.

Edit: I got Clorica as a part of my harem and I married Dolce. Kind of disappointed as I wanted Dolce to be last, but oh well. I just got to go on 2 more dates with Clorica, watch her marriage event, and then watch the rest of Margaret's marriage events. I have no idea how many more events I have left with Margaret, probably 3 including her marriage event.

All I care about in RF4S now is completing the third arc, since I only go for one candidate per run and I tried Dylas out this time. (I now know that I will never go for anyone other than Leon...or Arthur..in any future play, though...I am always left somewhat unsatisfied if Frey doesn't end up with Leon.) I didn't play again today...too busy, and then too tired! But I will tomorrow, almost definitely. I hope to wrap the game up within a week. If I ever decide to unlock NG+, I'll come back to this file then, but I don't plan to do so now.

I played a liiiiitle bit of House Flipper today and was almost too tired even for that, but it doesn't really seem like the type of game you finish anyway...you can just take handyman/contractor jobs forever, if you want. Though I guess I should at least make enough money to buy build, furnish and decorate my own house before considering the game done, though I find it a bit tedious that the amount of creativity you can exert is often quite limited. Sometimes you can choose the furniture or the paint colour(s), but sometimes you can't. And some jobs are just about cleaning up!

At least I got some real life stuff done today? Still using Ring Fit Adventure, too. Wrapping up these two games before ACNH (which will not be included on my backlog at all, since I hope to play it almost daily for a year and then sporadically ever afterward...or until the next iteration comes out, anyway) should not be a problem. I'm not going to make any progress on chipping off much of the actual backlog, this month...I think I will end March at just +1...but I'm fine with that. I should be able to knock one or two more backlog games off my list in April and have no problem completely eliminating it by the end of 2020.

So, I started Spirit Hunter: NG last night because I did the prologue in anime club last week on a different (someone else's) Switch. So, I zoomed past the prologue and started the game proper. It's really good! Played about 2 hours already.

Decided to put Rune Factory 4 Special on the back burner for now. (Even though I just got some really helpful advice for the game. I won't forget the advice, I promise!)

I also bought and started Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX today and played about 2 hours there. I'm really enjoying all the new features so far of the remake and I love the graphics.

And then, even though I just said I wouldn't make any more purchases until later this year (outside of Animal Crossing on the 20th), I saw that for My Nintendo Rewards there is a 30% off coupon for Yoshi's New Island on the Nintendo 3DS for 100 platinum points. So, I might consider that.

Also, saw a birthday calendar printable up for Animal Crossing (2020) for 80 platinum points and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Teams DX printable cards for 30 platinum points in case anyone was interested.

Also, accidentally closed this tab while writing this and thought all my progress in writing this post was lost, so had a mini heart attack.

It's no problem, Harvest Moon kawaii. Plus the advice is always there to look up again if you DO forget it. :) Just try to play the games you enjoy the most, for now, and I'm sure you can gain some momentum, plus get a feel for what you really love and what only looks good to you at first but ends up not being that fun when you actually play it. We all have a bunch of those. Not that RF4S is necessarily one of those, but if your inclination is to play something else, right now, it seems worthwhile to go with the urge.

~

I don't know if I mentioned it in the backlog thread, since it's not a game, but I did order the guide for New Horizons. I loved having the New Leaf guide and I'm sure it'll be the same for New Horizons, even if I only ever use it as an item catalogue.

Quigs! Hey hey ^^ Unfortunately, my laptop can't run Zero Escape, boo. I will have to find a way to play it on a different platform.

I liked Valhalla! It was really chill and the dialogue are so timely. I think it was very atmospheric and my favorite parts were choosing the playlist and mixing drinks; I felt like a true bartender LOL

Have fun with Steins; Gate! I enjoyed the anime a lot, so I'm sure the game is even better :)

I harvested the white crystal flower and I did the Turnip Harvest request. I believe I have 10 requests left then. Margaret's events are being weird on not triggering, but I did marry Clorica today. Just Margaret left. I might take a little break and switch to Fire Emblem since it's just now sleeping until my crops grow and trying to get certain events to trigger. No game, I don't want to see Dylas smile (although seeing my favorite bachelor smile is priceless to me) nor do I want to know that Nancy and Jones are a couple that all the bachelorettes look up to.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I always feel like I'm DONE Rune Factory 4 when I complete the second arc. It's why I never finished it my other playthroughs...and now I'm struggling to care to complete it this time, too. I did finish Rune Prana 2, and my weapons and armor were good enough for both 1 and 2, but the third floor needs new stuff, and my mining skills is nowhere NEAR high enough to get rune crystals, which I must have. I also need a drop from a monster only available on RP3, which my current weapon isn't really good enough to damage, lol. (Well, it does, but it takes way too long to kill anything with what I've got now, and my little fairy gals don't seem to be able to do much damage any more, either.)

I'm finally wearing the heart pendant all the time, since leveling up my skills is the most important thing I can do, right now. Still, it's slow going. If my crafting skills were all maxed, the third arc would be an absolute breeze. Guess I've got to do a lot of upgrading weapons, for now. So boring...

EDIT: Managed a small step up in weapons that has got the right element and so is cleaning up the regular monsters easily, but doesn't make much of a dent on the boss. I need a Turnip Miracle, but it seems that it was named 'Turnip Miracle' because it requires a miracle to get one to drop. (-_-)

^I feel the same. I completed the 3rd arc on the 3DS version just because I could, but it just felt kind of... tacked on? Like it was made after the other two arcs were complete in case people didn’t like how it ended... I dunno, other people might feel different, and I’m glad it’s an option for people who like it, but...

Got FFIV, X, XIII, and X/X-2 on my vita since they were on sale. That completes my collection of 1-10 on there. Fills up a page. Makes me happy to see. Now I’ve just got to actually play and finish them instead of repeatedly starting over... >w>
