The tent is a 3-room one. The total floor space is about...12 by 20 feet, I think. Plus we have to bring in all the chairs and mattresses and blankets and sleeping bags and lanterns and lights and stuff she had stowed in it, first. With the two of us, we got it done in two hours, though the main body is still hanging outside to let part of it dry, so it still has to be folded up and stored once it is fully dry. And everything was put inside, but not yet put all the way away. So I guess, really, it takes the two of us three hours to do it all.

I wish it were good exercise, and it IS better than sitting around, but it doesn't make my muscles sore, nor does it get me out of breath...I just get a crick in my neck, lol. Well, but yeah...better than sitting around. :)

EDIT: I always figured I'd buy Final Fantasy XII if it went on a really good sale (which for me means it has to be at least 50% off.) Well, it was, so I did, as I don't have any other lengthy story-driven games on hand, now. And...I don't like it? I mean...it's kinda grimy and weird-looking. The characters are strangely fat in the cheek area around their mouths. Somehow just really strange-looking. So I don't like the looks. And I may just not be able to tolerate teenagers as my central protagonists any more. The younger they are, the less I can feel for them/their goals, it seems. I think this kid is 17? Could be worse, but he's kind of ordinary, so far. Understandably but also stupidly rebellious boy, in my view to this point.

I do see why this is one of very few games directly compared to Xenoblade Chronicles X, though, in terms of some of the gameplay systems. The exploration isn't a patch on XCX, though, and so far the characters and story are not interesting to me. Eh, I'm fine with that; I didn't have any particular expectations so if something grabs my attention, great! But if nothing does...*shrug*.

My blood oxygen is good usually actually. I do have a heart defect and asthma runs in the family though so I imagine those things are why.

I got bit over six times by a single mosquito the other day, most of which was on my eyelids...I'll be better able to focus on things when I'm in a house again.

I
I started playing ace attorney spirit of justice I think is the full title? Haven't even finished the first part yet. I'm enjoying it though.

Well that's good, then, that you know that much works well. :) Some lung and heart conditions are worsened by altitude while others are actually improved by it, and I don't know enough to say which is which. I just know that those with chronically lower blood oxygen would tend to suffer more, faster, from rising altitudes.

FF XII: The Zodiac Age has officially made me hate it, lol. The combat is horrible! The system is...okay. It's nice that you can move around freely even though it's basically turn-based. But the thing is, the battles are CONSTANT. This game is just endless strings of battles as you try to get through ugly dungeons from cut-scene to cut-scene. I can't take that. I hate that.

I think other than the FFVII remake, which I liked a lot, Final Fantasy is just not for me. The only one I've ever managed to like is the Pocket version of XV, because it cut a straight line through all the puppy doodoo, or whatever it is the Fogu censor calls it. The FF stories would probably be really good, if only they didn't pad them with so much nonsense.

Busy today. Gotta hurry, actually. I don't think I can play anything today, or do the demo.

Woke up to see people both debunking and confirming the stuff about Genshin today. The truth of it all is that it's still a possibility, but nothing is set in stone. The Chinese Government are basically angry boomers who don't approve of male characters looking like females and want to remove anything Japanese (VA and games like Nobunaga's Ambition).

There was a conference that used Venti as an example on what needs to be edited/removed, this indeed happened. The chances of characters getting full on deleted or having redesigns are low, but still in the cards regardless. For this reason alone, I'm still out. I don't want my gaming experiences to be in the hands of idiotic government. If all it takes is dumb boomers opinions to endanger something, I'd rather just not be a part of it any more.

---

Anyways, Code:Realize replay. I didn't forget that the common route was long, but I forgot specifc portions of it OR I thought they were in certain character routes. Think I'm approaching the end of it now and I'm still not sure which man's route I should be doing first. I remember when I first played that I hated Vann's route, loved St. Germain's, and everyone else's was just OK. I might just do Vann's first to see if that opinion of him still stands and then do St. Germain's as a pallet cleanser lmao.

The one thing that I did forget and that I'm kinda annoyed by is Imey's sexual jokes towards Cardia. I have a vauge memory of his route where Cardia tells him to knock it off, but I don't know if that's actually real or my brain is making it up. Regardless, I get he's the joke character, but constantly making jokes about getting into bed with Cardia is making me u n c o m f o r t a b l e.

Got through the common route in Code:Realize and then did Van's and St. Germain's routes, and a little bit of Impey's too. I don't hate Van any more. It has been six years since I last played this game, and my opinions on a lot of stuff has changed since then. I actually got misty-eyed near the end and CardiaXVan are a legit cute looking couple, especially in their last CG. St. Germain's route was as good as I remembered it, so not all my opinions change lol. I will say that I'm not a huge fan of the first half of his route, but it's one of those that get better and better as it continues. I remember watching the Code:Realize anime and thinking "this would've been such a better adaption if they went the St. Germain route instead of Lupin" because it is SO much more interesting than the 'true' route imo. We'll see if this replay changes my mind further.

I completely forgot about Nemo as a character, like full on my mind deleted him from my memory. When he first showed up in the common route I went "OH, THIS « Duck Quacker »???" due be reminded that he's a blight on this otherwise great VN, and also due to the fact that I couldn't remember which route he was important in. In starting Imepy's route, I see my mind completely deleted this route too because I REMEMBER NOTHING.

Welp, I hope to get the rest of the routes done today (they're all really short, which is a mixed blessing) so I can move onto the fandiscs asap. I still haven't looked up which fandisc came first, but I think it's the spring one???

Still playing Diablo... I'm making myself read & write a bit every night too, but I don't know that I've played a game this much in awhile. Not sure if I'm beside myself with enjoyment, but it is very satisfying.

The build I'm playing is pretty slow, so I'm not quite done with normal mode. I'm just about to beat Diablo, then I'll have the expansion act. It feels bad to go so slow, though I am forcing myself to enjoy the story and dialogue the first time through. But mostly you play the game on higher difficulties for good reason, because n o t h i n g drops on normal. I had a lot of trouble with my build (maul werebear druid) on Act 2. You should be able to supplement with items, but I didn't find anything with any sort of bonus or resistance that was more than +1/+3%, and most of that was less than half my current armor values. I spent most of the end of act two letting my direwolves kill everything, which is boring.

Mysteriously, the issues vanished after I beat the Act 2 boss (which was awful, I almost respecced to play a different druid), and I mopped the floor with acts 3 & 4 without significant equipment improvement. I was going to see how I felt before starting a second loop, but I suspect I'll probably finish normal today and hop on nightmare for a bit. Need better equipment. Addicted.

I've still been playing a bit of Warioware. The Wario Cup challenges are still somewhat fun, but I get stressed about the global ranking. I've got a silver cup on the current challenge, but I'm only ranked 40% globally, and I'm not super-sure how to improve my score - there's one character that's better, so I guess you get perfects with them? Not very interested in that. Also still going through the score challenges on story mode. I suspect I may finish that, then set it aside.

Deleted Final Fantasy 12 right off my Switch, lol. That was wasted money! Thankfully it was half price, but still...meh. Oh well. Guess hope springs eternal and you can't turn it off even when you know better. I blame the XCX comparison. It does NOT satisfy the same itch for me at all. The closest I can come to XCX is BotW, which...really not that similar. Just similarly awesome worlds to run around in.

I really can't get to that Knockout Home Fitness demo! I have several tasks requiring physical labour demanding my attention right now, so whenever I have the energy, I have to put it all on that. Can't see getting to it until next Monday at the earliest...October 11. :/ (I hadn't foreseen anything putting me off trying it Day 1, honestly.) October 11 would be a good day to see if I can get Cousin to commit to a bit more than a 1-day-a-week exercise schedule, too, though it will require me to put in the same amount of time she does. Or possibly a good deal more. But October 11-12 might be a good time to finally get to the demo. I don't think it's a good idea to try to squeeze it in before then even if I can, with how things are atm.

I don't have the energy for much gaming at all right now, even non-exercise games. Even if I'm sitting here doing nothing, I feel overworked (though I'm definitely not, though things are busy with new stuff.) Not sure if that's a chiro issue, a seasonal issue, or just a temporarily health blip that'll pass. (It only matters if it's a seasonal issue. If it is, I have to do something about it without waiting, or it'll get worse. Will make sure after next chiro visit in two days.)

I think handheld may be the way to go. I'm inclined to play Slime Rancher, but...I think picking SoS1 back up, or starting a shiny new replay of ANB is probably the best idea, since I still can't stand the Switch as a handheld...3DS for the win on that count. Come to think of it...I still had Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology on 3DS, which I never got around to playing. Though I'm not sure if I care, lol.

I finished Deltarune Chapter 2 earlier today and jumped back into The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. The game is so much fun without Sholmes around (I know as soon as I type this, I'll see him again).

I also tried the Final Fantasy Origins demo. Really glad I didn't get excited about the game; combat isn't particularly fun to play with. I also cancelled my preorder of Disco Elysium on the Switch. I saw a comment on a video that said the console port (it's on PS4/5 right now) doesn't par up with the PC game, so I'm holding off until I see some reviews. If the Switch version doesn't do well, I'll revisit the game on PC.

I should also play Imposter Factory; if it's like To the Moon and the other games in the series, it's only gonna take one day to play.

Watched a streamer play the start of Lost in Random earlier and...« Harvest Goddess » damn that game is ADORABLE. In the very little coverage I've seen of it, it looked good. It looks GREAT now. If you haven't seen it, think Tim Burton visuals, and...kind of Tim Burton esque story, too honestly. Gameplay is a combination of action and cards (story and gameplay focuses on the concept of randomness). Shame it's an EA indie... Not a company I'd like to support, even if it's also supporting an indie. I'll have to wishlist it, and maybe look into a review that talks about how well the game runs...

I'll be starting the grind for whatever gear/items whatnot I need for the final boss in Stories 2. As frustated as I got I don't wanna give up. I think all I'll really need is a few notes with me so I don't make stupid mistakes. I made a couple stupid mistakes before and got punished hard.

And with Genshin... 2.2 livestream tomorrow is going to be...something. Guaranteed more people than normal will show up, expecting some commentary on the ongoing situation with the game, which I don't see them addressing.

Knowing that the government is harassing the company just makes me want to support them more. >:| For now I'll be entering the fanart contest. Got an idea while I was poking around on the Genshin wiki, doing some costume studies, and I like it enough to knock it out. Small thanks, but that « Cow Poopoo » matters more to the designers than any money I can throw to begin with.

I've also gotten altitude sick before too, so I know I'm now prone to it because of that...I'm doing much better now altitude wise and at a lower altitude. Will see if I stay that way.

I was playing in my switch earlier but need to plug it in and currently don't have a good spot to charge that kind of device or my ds. I really want to keep playing. Can't hook up my PlayStation either yet. I haven't played cold steel in so long. I got about two hours in today but I was NOT ready to put my game down by the time I had to.

Edit: forgot earlier but I did the thing where I was in a way my spine hasn't liked lately again, and I got shaky, but it was very cold and I'd been up for a long time which wasn't good for my spine and those things both made it much worse than it would have been otherwise I think. My jaw was kind of pulling at my neck and it was little difficult to get dressed because my body was shaky. The other time I got shaky it was much much more mi!d, and none of those other things were factoring in so. Guess I figured out what side effect from being sick I'm stuck with.

Just got to not do things my spine doesn't like, and no heavy lifting, and maybe some pillows for chairs and my neck and I should be okay for now. I left a noticeable indent on/above my spine once from a metal chair, so pillows are probably a good idea anyway...

I'm going to look for an extension cord to plug in my devices so I can keep myself occupied. I'm not moving any furniture, so I don't have to worry about that. Just resting my body and keeping myself entertained for now, before it's time for me to do anything light.

I just played the Unpacking demo and put it onto my Steam wishlist since I almost forgot about it, oops. The demo is, of course, only bite sized, but it was somehow so immersive all on its own. I cannot wait for the game to come out. It arrives 9 days before my birthday. I almost see myself buying it on Steam and Switch. Portability might be a must on this one.

Aand that's Monster Hunter Stories 2. I'm in a...post-credits fog still, I think. Little bit of grinding and one more attempt at the boss (after watching a 'how to' video) and I knocked it out. I think the lack of any way to quickly restart the fight is probably my biggest long term issue with the fight... The rest is ultimately fair. Yes, there's a lot to learn! So take notes. Or watch a video of somebody else's. The more I thought on it...it doesn't even compare to SMT4's "true ending" final boss in terms of cruelty.

The ending was (imo) better than the ending for Rise's main campaign. I know that's fairly typical for the mainline games, but boy would it be nice to get something mildly as epic as the Stories games... You guys who play those... I know it's more your first MH game than after that, but. You work your « Mr.Gourmet's hat » off to get to credits. >:|

The sound on the final cutscenes bugged out for me, for some reason. But it was still nice. I dunno when/if I'll go back for "high rank" but I'm glad I at least got that far. And for your ye-olde Steam statistic, 45% of steam players beat the final boss! Which (I think) is actually pretty good for a game that long.

The 2.2 Genshin livestream was...something? I'm gonna guess that 2.2 wasn't MEANT to be a fully filler update, but government intervention forced Mihoyo's hand. Since we don't know what's going to happen to the game in the future, I don't know that I want to hoard primogems anymore. I just want to have fun. Who knows if the game will survive long term, but if it doesn't... blaze of glory, here we go.

The concert was surprisingly good though! And weirdly nostalgic. I meant to go back to sleep listening to it and just didn't. Napped for about an hour afterward though. (I go to bed around 2am typically and am generally up at 8, so the loss of an extra hour is wearing me down.)

Haven't made any significant progress in Code:Realize, just a little more of Impey's route. I had intended to make my most recent day off a marathon to finish Code:Realize and then start (and maybe finish) a fandisc, but last second a good friend of mind realized I wasn't at work and invited me to their DND campaign. I had wanted to initially join, but couldn't due to time differences + work, so I seized the golden opportunity and had a blast! The rest of the day was cleaning out my husband's car and then writing, so no video games were played that day lol.

I have been playing DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds, which is a gacha based off the currently airing anime. I really only started watching the anime because I like Dragon Quest, and I didn't know how to feel about it at first, but it's definitely become a favorite I look forward to watching every week. The game is fun, all the characters are given to you (or earned through event quests) so the gacha is for weapons and abilities. Dev team has been extremely generous so far, drowning the playerbase in the currencies. Also really dig the music in it, the main theme that plays has been stuck in my head for the past few days.

Progress has slowed on NieR Reincarnation due to it being a grindfest I don't have time for at the moment. I'm stuck on the last battle of the currently released chapter that requires an obscene amount of party power my casual « Mr.Gourmet's hat » just can't reach. They could really do their playerbase a favor by adding skip tickets for grinding and an easy mode for those who just want the story. Apparently skip tickets are coming to Japan soon (announced in August), so hopefully we get those soon too. Please.

I would like to get the Code:Realize games done this week. October has 3 games for me this month, two of which release next week, so I'd very much like to not be bogged down by visual novels. Next day off is Thursday- wish me luck!

I'm a dummy.

I had the urge to play DQB2 last night, fairly late (well, for me, who always goes to bed between 10-11PM). I thought I'd not really be into it when I started it...but I was. I ended up playing for two or three hours and not getting to sleep until after midnight. DUM!

Woke up at time to leave for my appointment. :? Oh well, the chiro only loosely schedules me...people basically just walk in. So it doesn't really matter. But 8 AM is about the latest I've ever woken in my life! I know it's partly due to going to bed late and partly because it's October, a month before the time shift...my patterns always go off when we get close to the time shift. But I've never owned an alarm clock, ever, because I always wake on time on my own. Times, they are a-changing. I still managed to harvest the sweet potatoes when I got home, and I may even have just enough time to fit lunch in before my dentist appointment, so it's not a disaster, but it's weird. 8AM!

Well, I had fun, though. That's what matters, right? In gaming? Isn't it? I think so...

I may continue a bit. I think I want to try building town in Chapter 2 in a different spot, this time...up the mountain instead of over the ground. And for some reason, I want to find EVERY Builderdom's Best, this time. What a chore that's gonna be!

EDIT: PEE ESS; good luck Bluie!
