I'm confused. Is Atelier Resleriana new? I thought it was a game released just a few years ago, right before Ryza. Not new, but not old enough for a remake, either. Did I just mix the weirdo names up?

I think the original game was more of a phone gacha game, and this new one is a new title entirely. So maybe same universe, different characters? It's unclear since the original game wasn't released outside of Japan.

The gacha game did release outside of Japan, but it was shut down recently as it wasn't making enough money. It's still going in Japan. This new game is a prequel/spinoff set in the same universe as the gacha, but is also its own stand alone title. It will play like traditional Atelier games and have no pay-to-win features. It's more or less a return to form while using a preexisting universe.

I personally feel like its them getting a little extra mileage out of the engine they made/used for the gacha. As someone who's been an Atelier fan since the Arland trilogy, its nice to see they still have the intent to make 'regular' Atelier games instead of... whatever the hell they're doing with the series right now. I stomached Ryza (it had its high and lows), I didn't dare touch the gacha as I could see the EoS miles away, and I refuse to pay full price for the newest entry that's barely an Atelier game. This, however, seems to be worth my attention. I'm still going to wait on reviews though. I'm tired of watching a series I love get butchered every other year.

I was almost certain I remembered that ridiculous name. Resleriana. What an ugly, ungainly name! Once encountered, hard to forget. But I thought the game before Ryza was Lulua or something like that, so then I was just confused. And yet didn't care enough to Google it, lol. They gave this girl a male companion as they did to Escha? (Logy.) I thought the formerly covertly pervy male fandom hated having their virgin waifu being canonically close to any men, so there'd never be another Logy. (Not that he was necessarily a romantic pair with Escha, but...)

For Bluie's sake, hope it's good.

I went back and watched (well, skimmed carefully) the Pokemon Presents, and couldn't decide what it was. It seemed like a bunch of little clips all of insignificant things like...I don't even know. Apps and services and tv shows and a park that almost no one watching in English can possibly ever go see. Though WAS it a theme park? What I saw looked more like a human-sized Pokemon diorama.

I didn't see anyone hating on the Pokemon Presents (though I only saw one person react to it) but it doesn't look like it had much in it, game-wise. I couldn't tell if the A-Z news was anything new.

Well, since I don't care about Pokemon, I'm not in the best position to figure out if it was any good.

Been trying to post this here. This is the third time. Important question. Didn't want to put something on the Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar topic that'll become quickly outdated.

Does anyone know if the North American/USA Physical Premium edition of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for the Nintendo Switch comes with both DLC sets included? Or are those separate? I'm not entirely sure. I checked both GameStop and Marvelous USA's websites.

It would be better off in the Grand Bazaar topic. Not very many people will even notice it, here, because not many people check this thread. Actual game topics are checked more than anything in the "other games" board.

I don't know what you mean about it being the third time, but the PHYSICAL version of the game does not appear to come with ANY DLC. The Marvelous website fairly painstakingly lists every item that comes with the various digital versions, as well as the physical version, and the physical version comes with these:

The game
Soundtrack CD
Art book
Cloth poster
Sheep pocket plushie

No mention of DLC at all, anywhere, including on the marvelousgames.com site about Grand Bazaar editions. I don't think it includes EITHER set of DLC. That inclusion appears to be for digital versions only.

The trunk of transformation DLC can be purchased separately, but the Cow DLC stuff appears to be exclusively a bonus for digital orders.

On the eshop, it specifically says:
Publisher notification(s):
Purchase the digital version of STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar to receive this bonus Cow Set.
So it's gotta be the digital version. Makes sense. The physical bonuses are exclusive to the physical version, and the digital bonuses are exclusive to the digital version. Nobody gets all the bonuses in one package. Physical buyers can still buy the trunk of transformation with all of the other costumes and hair stuff, but the Cow DLC looks to be available ONLY as a bonus for purchasing the digital version.

There's a Nintendo Direct today, so I'm assuming we'll get some more posts in here, but this new game from Syn Sophia (Style Savvy devs) just popped up.

https://www.gematsu.com/2025/07/dressma ... for-switch

After being burned by Fashion Dreamer, I'm looking at this tentatively. There feels like there's a lack of outright 'girly' games these days, and I unironically like those, so I almost want to get it on principle alone, but I think I'll need to see some more gameplay first?

I saw that last night and instantly thought of you, Bluie, just from the thumbnail, before I even knew what it was...it has that fluffy soft girly look I perceive you as going for in games, like the Atelier games and so on...and was going to post it...but then I figured you'd already know about it, so I didn't, lol. It does look cute. It's interesting that you MAKE the dresses, rather than just take premade stuff and dress dollies up in them. I guess you sort of make the outfits in all the games, though? I don't know if you choose fabrics and so on in the other games.

If people rave about a game like that, I'd get it, since I don't mind the idea, either...but it'd have to be really well done. I'll definitely be waiting to see. I haven't even played style savvy, actually. Just a demo on 3DS, iirc. Not sure that was Style Savvy.

Oopsy, forgot about this. Nintendo (Partner) Direct today. Started already though it isn't REALLY started.

EDIT: Pfft, campfire-building game. I think that may be the most pitiful addition I've ever seen in an ND. Feels like it should be free, it's just so little of a game. I don't know but...yeah I found that one outright ridiculous.

EDIT 2: Yeah, that wasn't for me. It was fun enough to watch, and the variety was interesting, but the only game I even MIGHT buy would be the first announcement of the show...Monster Hunter Stories 3. But probably not, since I didn't finish the first game and I didn't buy the second one at all.

The rumours were wrong, anyway. No actual Nintendo Direct and definitely no Isabelle card at the end teasing an AC game in 2026. Though that was always rather far-fetched. And we had a big leaker name on this too, so even the 'most trustworthy' leakers are often just full of hot air.

Lol, thank you for thinking of me regardless. It's funny, I'm not really feminine at all, fairly 'androgynous' looking (for lack of a better word?) and I'm not into makeup, dresses, purses, ect. I *do* have them, but I spend most of my time in work uniform or cargos and oversized t-shirts. So I find it funny that the overly girly aesthetic appeals to me so much. I love to see it, but don't want to live it, I guess? Which is why I guess I'm so over cutsey being morphed into 'sexy' with series I really enjoy. Yes, « Chicken Hugging » sells, but alienating your audience is not a great look either. Anyways, my plain-« Mr.Gourmet's hat » loves a cute girly game (and I DO dress up when appropriate, and when I do, it's all the way, it's just not very often).

Anyways, Nintendo Direct. Monster Hunter Stories 3 100% has my day one purchase, but everything else was 'ehhhh?' - even the two new 2.5D games. I joked aloud on seeing the Elliot game 'oh no, is this Octopath 3? I haven't finished the second game yet!' only to be relieved, then goosed all over again with Octopath 0. I laughed pretty hard at myself. Also, I'll just watch the cutscenes to the Tears of the Kingdom Warriors game. on YT after release I've learned my lesson; I only like Samurai Warriors and the formula doesn't work for me otherwise.

I'm very sorry. I honestly was either overthinking or not thinking hard enough about where to post my question. :( And by 'third time'' I had meant it was my third time trying to post my previous message/post. Fogu Forum has been being weird for me lately :( And it's acting up right when I keep thinking about posting update messages and returning a bit, too :(

No apology needed. It's not WRONG here, it would just get more attention in its own game section. The 'other video games' board is less used by most members.

This'll tell you right away that I don't follow Beatemups. I just found out last night that he made up the rumour about the July Nintendo Direct that would end with an Isabelle (Animal Crossing) teaser card. As in, he flat out lied, told people he 'couldn't tell you how he knows', but that there was going to be a Direct in July (I think he said late July but I don't recall, now, and I saw video clips but I don't ever watch his podcast, so I didn't actually see the entire context.)

Now, I didn't believe that rumour, because 2026 is simply too soon for AC on Switch 2. They're always so slow with that series. I did think Wood had really heard something (the source of which he couldn't divulge, whether it was being told directly or simply overhearing info at a con or...whatever a famous, long-established, former Nintendo-ambassador YouTuber might have come across from the many people he's met or been near or the events he can easily get invited to that most people can't, etc) and that there would be a regular full Direct. I was NOT convinced that he was right about any of the contents of that Direct, just the basic part of the rumour, which is that there was going to be a regular Direct.

When he turned out to be wrong (because there was a Direct, but it was a partner showcase) I thought it was just that...that he'd been mistaken. That he misheard or misunderstood or was given bad information. Which is fine, in my books...I don't care when rumours come from mistaken information.

Just found out last night that he's a stinking liar who made it up as a 'social experiment' because he hates leaks and rumours and wanted to figure out how they work, presumably to try to eradicate them. (Yeah, because knowing how they work would make you able to stop them, right? Um...no.)

It wasn't done as a joke, though many of his fanpoodles are playing it off like it was. He did NOT do it for laughs. And once he'd done it, it's not like he even found it funny; according to him he was having anxiety and guilt over it. (As he should.) Though I don't believe anything he says, now. He continued to deliberately fuel the rumor after he started it. He made a winky kind of emoji on a Nintendo post after that and so on, hinting at secrets, so he didn't feel bad enough to stop egging people on.

I happen to LIKE gaming rumours. In my books, ALL of this stuff is rumours. None of them are 'leaks' until they are PROVEN. For example, if someone hacked into Nintendo's whatever and stole info and Nintendo confirms that it happened, then you know that info is, in fact, a leak. But leaks are very rare. Everything else is just rumors. And THEY ARE FUN. When you don't know for sure that they're real, they're all just speculation! I enjoy speculating on probable releases and even the likelihood of a rumor's veracity. Why does Beatemups think he gets to decide for everyone that leaks and rumours are bad? (I mean, leaks probably ARE bad, since it usually means employee betrayal or illegal practises or system malfunction. But rumours are nothing.)

And he has nearly 2 million subscribers (I am not now nor have I ever been one of them. I have never even followed his channel. Previous to yesterday, I had a mildly positive opinion of Wood...Hacker? Hocker? His last name is something like that, I think. I wasn't really a fan, but I knew who he was and a few times a year I watch a video or two of his. That's basically it. Well, NOW I have a quite negative opinion of him and will be blocking his channel or whatever you call it when you forbid YouTube from recommending a certain channel to you.) Sure, he lied on his podcast, not his main channel, but it doesn't really matter. Those 2 million subscribers and your general fame guarantee that it will spread. And DUH...of course it will then take on a life of its own after that. (He went on about how it was really the REDDIT thread that made the lie take off, and after that it had almost nothing to do with him.)

I'd say I'd like him to lose all his subscribers, but we all know that's pointless. Fanpoodles will fanpoodle. They'd make excuses for much worse things than this.

I'm extremely annoyed, even though I didn't believe the bulk of the 'rumour' (except that there would BE a Direct, since whatever he says about not having any insider knowledge, there's just NO WAY that he doesn't have access to all kinds of info that most of us don't. As another Nintendo youtuber with a 'mere' few hundred thousand followers said, even HE has a few insider connections, so there's just no way Wood doesn't have any. Just what does he think an insider connection is, to claim that he has none? It doesn't mean you have to be texting buddies with Shigeru Miyamoto!) It wasn't funny, cute, or in any way helpful. It didn't teach ANYTHING about rumors/leaks that we didn't already know.

Bye, Beatemups. I'm banning your face from ever appearing in my YouTube account again. You won't miss me, because I never subbed or followed or liked or commented, and I certainly won't miss you. Though I am a little sad that I used to think you were more-or-less one of the good guys, and over time (yesterday being the clincher, for me) I've grown to think you're probably actually more-or-less one of the bad guys. :(
