I don’t think new crops were mentioned.

Am I alone in preferring faster clocks? In games where the clock is slow, the days become agonizingly long after you've been playing for a while and can complete all of your daily tasks quickly. I often found myself running out of things to do and going to bed in the middle of the afternoon.

Sure in the first couple of months you feel pressed for time with a fast clock, but I actually kind of like that feeling.

I like the clocks close to what they are now. I'd like a longer clock, but time passage like what was in AP was definitely too long for me.

Did they mention about new items being added for DLC? Like new crops or furniture? That would be really neat.

On a side note, the file size is 2.5 Gb. I am a little worried about the file size...? It's not too big?
They specifically mentioned that there will be NO land to be had in the DLC. (No new areas to farm, that is.) I doubt there will be any new crops; they appear to be trying to keep the DLC from feeling 'essential', since people who don't like DLC then get angry about holding content for ransom.

A small file size is nothing to worry about. Bokumono generally has relatively small file sizes. SoS: FoMT is only 1GB.

About the clocks. Olive Town has the same clock as ANB, SoS and Trio, which I liked. Though I really think they need to bring back the food effects, so that everyone can adjust the clock more to their liking, whether faster or slower.

It's interesting to note that the japanese fandom feel mixed about the returning characters, especially about Raeger. Some feel he was the main bachelor and a mascot of sorts in Story of seasons, so having him in another game feels wrong. I've seen shippers say they don't like the idea of Raeger marrying the protagonists of the new game as it would somehow nullify their own marriage to him in the old game.

Personally I don’t think it matters but everyone has their opinions.

Matters to me. Not about these six returnees specifically, but from a page or two ago in this very thread...

I don't ever want to have to explain to myself why he has left Echo Village to appear in the town of some other game.
Sanjay's the only one I care about enough for that, though. Yuzuki is my second favourite, but if he'd returned, I wouldn't have cared. But Sanjay I wouldn't be okay with, especially if he came without Amir...it would just destroy his character, to me. I just don't want them touching my one, already perfect guy. So if anyone felt that way about Raeger or Ludus or Neil, (or Felicity, Iris or Lisette) I'd totally get it.

Lol, I've been writing for more than 30 years, and have been a photographer and a jewellery artist as well, so I have a creative mind, too. (Heck, I barely exist in reality at all.) Probably a lot of people here do...I believe we have a lot of writers here. For me that's not a factor in whether it's okay for Sanjay to return or not. It's probably because the things I imagine are so important to me that I'm really not okay with it. It'd be like his own creators were undoing his character and saying that he was never the character I cared about. Meh...just not cool with me, so I'm glad he wasn't one of the ones to return, and if anyone feels the same about the ones that ARE returning, I get why they're upset or ambivalent, even if I don't feel that way about those specific characters myself.

Fortunately (?) I don't think Sanjay was ever popular enough to be a returnee in any future game.

In my mind Neil went in searching for wild animals and I’d like to think he took me with him ^^

It doesn’t bother me that we have returning characters. After all the series has been bringing people back as long as I can remember.

Some characters lend themselves better to being returnees than others, imo. If it's the relationship with the main character, then you can just pretend that the main character of each game is the same person, if you want to, so it's not like your loved candidate is ending up with someone else (unless you want them to). But if Sanjay were to return without Amir it would completely break his character, in my view...he'd have to be a completely different guy. But Neil showing up elsewhere doesn't seem out of character at all. He didn't feel (to me) like he had any special bond or situation about his presence in Echo Village that makes it seem bizarre that he'd show up in another town.

Hina, now, is a weird one. She was extremely doted on by her father...it's bizarre to me that he's just shipped her off with others. I don't care, because I don't have any feelings for Hina either way, but I do find it weird.

Wasn’t Tigre one of the ones too? Now he has my curiosity.

Yep! I can kind of believe Tigre, though. I mean, everyone probably views them differently and finds different returnees believable versus ones that are not, but...Tigre somehow felt like a free spirit. I'm not sure how to describe it. He had his grandfather, but it didn't feel like he NEEDED his grandfather that much, or like they were especially close, so him showing up in Olive Town doesn't feel as peculiar as it does that Hina is going to do so. Maybe they'll have actually cooked up something believable.

Dunhill feels bit strange, since Echo Town was his precious baby, but...well, he's an old guy. Maybe he felt like his job was done and was free to wander in his retirement years, after that. Marian and Giorgio don't strike me as all that odd, either, that they'd try a new town.

Marian and Giorgio doesn’t surprise me either. As well as Iris, as I mentioned how a novelist can write anywhere lol.
