The game wouldn't let me tame the silky chicken, it said my level was too low. How do I raise that level?

Not finding exact info but probably from making mayo from your chicken eggs and shipping them. Petting and putting them outside levels up their happiness, which can produce more eggs. That may contribute to skill levels.Briarwyn wrote:The game wouldn't let me tame the silky chicken, it said my level was too low. How do I raise that level?
It's actually the animal care skill that allows you to raise the different livestock, so caring for your animals is the way to do it. Silkies and Buffalo both require Animal Care level 3 to tame.Murasaki wrote:Not finding exact info but probably from making mayo from your chicken eggs and shipping them. I had the same issue, except that my Area 2 was completely undeveloped outside of my coop and my barn, it finally spawned on Winter 16th, so if you wait it may spawn eventually. I saw a post earlier mentioning their coop vanished completely and the Buffalo spawned there and then it reappeared later after they tamed it, so I'm wondering if the buffalo is buggy in some way?Anonymous Fish wrote:I hit Winter year 1 after picking the game back up because of the patch (I’m still experiencing the exact same performance issues blah). Oh, fun lol. I’ll just play as usual then and if I don’t get it by the 16th or so I will make a split save and destroy all my buildings there to see if it forces the spawn the following day.Kelpy wrote:I had the same issue, except that my Area 2 was completely undeveloped outside of my coop and my barn, it finally spawned on Winter 16th, so if you wait it may spawn eventually. Update: Winter 3 at 4:56 PM I got the life scared out of me by a glitchy black blob behind my yarn makers near the ramp to Area 3. Buffalo was stuck between them and desperately trying to get out. Tamed and in my barn without having to move any objects. He was DEFINITELY not there until the middle of the day because I was running around between those makers and Area 1 of my farm for the entire morning and early afternoon reorganizing item boxes.Anonymous Fish wrote:I hit Winter year 1 after picking the game back up because of the patch (I’m still experiencing the exact same performance issues blah). 24 squares. A 5x5 area, with the sprinkler in the middle.Saffy wrote:How many tiles does the enhanced sprinkler cover?? I have a lot more land now and I'd like to plan around it a little bit.
Thank you! Do you, (or anyone for that matter) know if furnishing can be rotated?? Or placed on rugs??Princess-of-Dragons wrote:24 squares. Tentatively wanna say no on both counts, as my attempts to do both have both proven fruitless so far, but if anyone has been able to rotate furniture or place items on rugs where I haven't been able to please feel free to correct me because I'm absolutely dying to rotate some dang benches and put a couch on top of a rug honestly.Saffy wrote:Thank you!
