I don't want you to think you're being ignored, so I'm going to reply even though I don't have anything worthwhile to say, heh. :)

I'll be playing ANB again in 1-2 months, when the winter weather starts to creep in and there is less daylight than darkness. I always need a good 'outdoorsy' game then...something that feels like an active outdoor life even when you don't have one in reality. I don't know if I've ever used the online feature in ANB, though. I tend to shy away from online features in all games.

thank you for the reply! i was wondering if anyone was going to! :P
no worries about it not being worthwile! as long as there is some sort of reply im happy. nice to keep the conversation going ya know?

anyway, cold weather is definitely a good time to sit and relax with a video game. i agree that playing one nature-y is nice when you can cant really enjoy the nature outdoors in winter. (and gosh, where i am, winter is from End of October to March. most of our year is with snow/cold weather) i find animal crossing is great for that weather too. even if i do New Leaf a bit year round lol!
So yeah! when it gets colder, maybe we could play together if your up for it. if not thats ok too. everyone i have interacted with online has been super kind, but i know that is not the case for everyone... im sure you got your own reason you dont do much online stuff. and whatever it is i totally respect it. so if your not able to play w/ me in the next few months, that fine.

again, thanks for your reply. :lala:

Mm, sure, I'll let you know when I start the game up again :) Sounds like we're at a similar latitude...I live in the northernmost part of Eastern Ontario. Zone 4a...winter is cold and long and dark, for sure...our growing season is pitiful, averaging about 127 days. We've reached the point where I need to dig the fucsias out of the front garden so I can pot them up safely before the risk of an early frost shoots up. I already have all my fall mums sitting out front, waiting to take their place where the summer annuals are due to be ripped out. :( (I love the fall mums, mind you. And autumn itself is glorious here, though much too short.)

We definitely do!, i live a few provences over from you as im in the middle of Manitoba : )
im very certain we get more snow that Ontario does tho. i heard once a few years back that Toronto? got about 9/10 cm of snow and the city was shut down. Most Manitobins laughed at that because we normaly get 21-30ish cm, even more at times, and we never shut down. :(

and yes autumn is my fave season. i just love the bright red and orange trees. its really amazing. i also like that its not super cold yet but also not super hot. i feel its the perfect season. getting a warm cinnamon-y drink, and seeing the leafs is one of my ideas of paradice

too bad it only lasts like, a month and half or so..

but yeah! let me know when you get back into it.
id love to play with you.

That'd be strange if Toronto shut down for that...Toronto actually gets loads of snow, and that's such a piddly amount...they'd be fine with that :) I've heard of them shutting down for heavy ice storms, though, but then, they're horrifyingly dangerous. It's quite uncommon, but I think our record in the last decade or so was three feet of snow dumped in one night over this whole region. A foot overnight, well...no one wants to shovel that morning, but it'll happen several times every winter. It's perfectly standard to get 4-6 inches. Toronto can get whacked with that, too, though because their snow has less place to go when it needs to be removed, they start experiencing trouble sooner. I live in the country. We at least can usually push the snow far enough onto the sides of the road to clear even if there's a huge load at once.

Will do. :) Hope you can find someone else who is currently playing in the meantime. Maybe you and Sorry1 will be able to match up.

hi there! yes, ANB does have the ability to do online with others!
you can make/join a room from friends and even random online (not on friend list)
you just pick an item to exchange and your set! : )
if you have played story of seasons: ToT, it basicly the same as that.
i just got back into it myself but with a newish file, so if you wanna play together just let me know!
i really wanna play with someone so..

oy i think i ment inches not cm.. 9 inches // 21-30inches i think. (im bad at the math. wichever one is more lol)
i guess it wasnt Toronto, but it was definitely a bigger city in Ontario for sure. a few years back so i dont remember fully, but yeah. :P

Central Mantoba does get alot of snow tho. i went to Ontario once when i was super young and if i remember correctly, they have snow fairly close to amount we have, but almost certain we get more : C

I hope you guys enjoy your play :) Multiplayer is honestly not my thing; even digital interactions with other humans tends to stress me out. You never really know what another person wants. Do they want to interact, somehow? Do they want to trade items and get it over with quickly, or do they want to play around in some way? Do they want something specific? Thinking about it is where my stress comes in.

As to snow amount, I figured I should stop speculating when it's so easy to look this stuff up, lol.
Spoiler:
9 inches is way more than 9 cm, for sure. I thought I'd look it up, then, since I don't think our level of snow is laughable compared to anybody's but I couldn't be *certain*...though there's no such thing as a specific amount of snow that 'Ontario' gets. Each area receives different amounts of snow. Toronto actually gets quite a lot; so specific towns/cities have to be compared. For example, Winnipeg gets 44.8 inches (113.7 cm), and Toronto gets 47.8 inches (121.5 cm). So at least we know that the capital of Ontario gets more snow than the capital of Manitoba. However, if Toronto gets more or less snow than where you're specifically located, I have no idea.

I don't live in Toronto, mind you...I live a good 5 hours north-ish of it. The closest large city to me is Ottawa, and Ottawa gets notably more snow than not only Winnipeg, but Toronto, too, at 67.1 inches (174.5 cm). My town tends to get even more than that, lol, by a good chunk (I actually thought were were almost the same as Ottawa, but we get more than a foot more snow than them!) Here, over the 29-year period they draw the info from, our average annual snowfall is 83.2 inches (211.3 cm.) Bloody lotta snow, anyway. Though our amount pales in comparison to say, Sudbury or Thunder Bay. Or Owen Sound, North Bay, Sault Ste Marie, Timmins, Wawa, etc...crazy amounts of snow, 2-3 feet more than we get, on average, and we get 7 feet of snow!

If you want to check your city/town's annual snowfall, here's a page on Manitoba's locations. Though only cities are listed so you'd have to pick the closest one to your town if you don't live in one of the cities themselves, and if it's not really close, your amount might be pretty different.

Ah ty! im sure the multiplay will go well! :)
i totally get your reason for not doing online interacting and im glad you told me.
irl, i get anxiety alot, so i understand that feeling of not knowing/ and stess of it. :(
it makes sence. even if we dont do wifi ig, im still happy to like, chat n stuff on here, like we kinda have been doing. if you ever wanna chat again, let me know. :lala:
Spoiler:
(omg i feel dumb lol. i totally did not realize those snow amounts. i live in Winnipeg so... thats kinda neat learning exactly how much we get, in our different areas.
We actually are kinda close to each other if you think about it. i mean, we could have been half way across the world from each other, but no. its kinda cool to think about, i feel)

I guess it counts as anxiety? A friend once said I had some social anxiety and it didn't feel right, since I'm not at all shy and am not intimated by people, but it's certainly true that being around strangers, whose thoughts/desires I cannot gauge, makes me uncomfortable. I always want to know exactly what to do, to get things done smoothly and move on, but that's not possible when dealing with people you don't know very well. Even more so digitally, where you can't see a person's face or hear their voice.

We had a very dry winter last year and our snow amount was very low...the overall level never went over about 16 inches, and even the drifts never went past 3 feet. It was awesome...I didn't have to do nearly as much tending of the driveway as usual, and the snow disappeared fast when spring came. So there would definitely be some years where you get more snow, even if the overall trend is otherwise. Maybe you formed your opinion of our relative snowfall amounts in one of those years where you were getting loads and we were in a drier spell. :)
