Taking a break from Pokémon and thinking about playing RF4S again and something else too, I’m not sure what though
ACNH is still a progress until I completely restart. All I have to do is some of my player houses.
In other news, we gotten a new cable box recently and got it to work this morning. The new remote has a voice feature and tried teaching my mom how to use it for the lolz she didn’t like it lol

Got lots of quests done and the museum looks built, though it is not yet open. Now I can mine for real! Before it was irritating to keep digging up relics but have them accumulate in storage. Now I can donate when I complete one

I think I've completed the Portia Bridge mission now, too, to open up a new area, though no cutscene for it yet. I smoked Higgledy-Piggledy, too. He only got one mission and I filled the other 4 while he was snoozin'.
Got most of my stuff moved today, and two doc appts done. Hurt myself and will need another chiro appt tomorrow, probably. I hurt myself pretty much any time I lift anything, even if I do it with good form. A bag of very poorly-joined bones, this body is. Well, no getting around it, and hopefully I can do more working out for the next while.
Waiting for the last doctor to call now, but I'm in very poor shape atm. I'll wipe down the counters but I can't do any scrubbing or mopping...too back-twisting. Will have to leave sister to fend for herself with anything I can't do with cramps and a stubbornly-twisty spine, lol. Which means I may get a little extra Portia in before tomorrow, when I will almost definitely have to switch to ACNH for a few weeks at least, while I get used to tracking grandma's movements without having to be right in her face all the time.
Everybody in Portia wants to hang out with me, now...we're all 'Buddy' level. It's weirdly embarrassing to have 3-4 people RUN out the front gates every morning to line up outside my house, wanting to hang out with me (make play dates.) I ignore all of them. I don't dislike them but it takes up too much time! Went on one with Antoine but the game has me very busy right now and I won't bother with more until I give someone a heart knot. Mint's voice still drives me batty; it'll probably have to be Gust again.

Had a successful round of Monster Prom and Monster Camp with the husband. He went for Zoe and got the cultist ending while I got rejected by Miranda (I was gong for the corpse ending and messed up loool) in Prom while in Camp he landed a successful date with Dahlia and I managed to get Milo's secret ending.
I will say that I actually prefer Camp over Prom as it feels more polished and the drink mechanics are more fun than buying items. I'll probably still keep playing both though as they're really good to wind down to or nice bite sized experiences when I need a pick me up. I would love to do a full 4 player game in either because it really enhances the overall experience + the writing is best experienced with people in the same bubble of humor.
While I was waiting for said hubbo to get off work I started Persona 5 Royal because it was staring me in the face and ended up being a good time waster. I'll probably keep playing it after finishing Voice of Cards. Other than that i'm still chipping away at Egglia and I actually decided to drop Black Desert Online FOR NOW. I booted it up yesterday and immediately got overwhelmed trying to remember all the controls and quest markers and- ugh. I ended up mounting my horse and logging off. I'll probably go back to it once the PS5 version releases, whenever that is.

I'm existing in one of three states right now: working, stressing about paperwork, or playing Pokemon.
I'm halfway through the fourth area (out of 5, I think? There's not much more room on the map, anyways), and reached 9 out of 10 stars. I know I've still got KH2 on the back-burner, but Arceus is just sucking me in! It's a grind, in many ways, but it's a grind with enough variety I don't feel stuck in a rut.

Tom Nook has been stuck saying that he's happy to be on a deserted island with a hard worker like Illusion (my new main player character) for three hours, lol, as I ran around cooking and grandma-wrangling.
I restarted 5 times and got an island with peaches and a green airport (second best colour, I think.) I also got Phoebe as my Uchi, and I was going to trade for her if I didn't get her on my own. (Boone is the other...he'll be on his way out when I can get around to it; I can't deal with gorillas, baboons, or any monkey.) I feel like I should restart again because I don't love the position of the town hall (it's not bad, though.) But how many tries would it take to get a blue or green airport, NOT cherries or apples, a good town hall position, and daisies (or mums...mums were my first choice and daisies were second. I got my second choice in almost everything...I wanted pears as my native fruit, but peaches are second best.) as my native flower. I even got a keeper for a starter villager AND a nice set of starter clothes. All I'd be resetting for would be the position of the town hall. I should proabably just be happy with this. I do wish they let you move it around, though!
Do I restart? CAN'T DECIDE. Man I'm tired though...I feel too tired to do this again, lol. But I think I will! But meanwhile, gotta go check that banana bread, and make sure grandma's still napping.
EDIT: Head hurts at this point and I've gotta stop, but only two more resets and I still have peaches and a green airport, but I got a really interesting town hall layout (more than half way up the map and almost onto the east beach) AND my native flower is mums. I got Reneigh (who I had in Windfall and quite like) and scoot, a very green little duck fella. I think I'll stick with this one! My character's name is Illusion and the island is Wodewyrd. No theme...I just want to use some of the many gorgeous design ideas I've seen.

Banana bread sounds really good right now. Too bad I live in a place that doesn’t have good bakeries lol
Good luck on restarting. When you unlock the airport (probably tomorrow if you don’t time travel) I can give you stuff before I restart Oak tree.
Or you can come to Auradon I have stuff there too. You’re already friends with me on that second switch

I'd bring you some if I lived next door, Shan

Yeah, I don't time-travel...it stresses me out. Plus I feel wrung out from today and the moving and the cramping and all that stuff, lol. Thanks!

Currently playing:
To be decided
Recently beat:
Pokemon Legends Arceus (Switch)
The Land of Screens (Switch)
Games beat in 2022: 2
Upcoming games that I'm going to play:
The Expression Amrilato (Steam) (for learning Esperanto)
Distant Memorajo (Steam) (for learning Esperanto; will play after The Expression Amrilato)
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Switch)
Demos I'm interested in playing:
Suhoshin demo (on Steam) (A Korean visual novel taking place during the Joseon Dynasty (1397-1897) where you investigate a string of mysterious murders.)
Two Leaves and a bud Tea Garden Simulator demo(on Steam)
Chinatown Detective Agency demo (on Steam)
I beat the Letters: A Written adventure demo on my Switch. It was really fun. I'll definitely try to pick it up soon. (This was from a few days ago)
Also, yesterday I started Land of Screens, and I just beat it. It's a short indie game about the importance getting unplugged from social media and/or anything with a screen (phones, computers, TV, video games). It was really cute. I would recommend it.

Welp, I'm dropping Yokai Watch 3 for something that may be considered shallow, but I hate second protagonist. Hailey/Inaho feels like some weird self insert and her personality is extremely grating. I watched a bit of the anime season when she debuted and really felt nothing for her then and now I just dislike her, especially because I'm forced to play as her. I was already upset they axed Fumi/Katie for her, making her an AU character only for YW3, but the fact that Nate/Keita's story is forced to screech to a halt constantly because 'hurdur, you gotta play as the other protagonist to get the next story link!' is driving me nuts. I don't want to play as this weeb chuunibyou kid who adds NOTHING OF VALUE. Like, I'm sure there will eventually be a big ol' finale where the two protagonists meet and whatever, but I really don't give a « Cow Poopoo ». I want to explore the new areas with Nate, not visit the previous two game's locales, but worse. No wonder the second game is Japan's favorite as it 100% improved on the first and didn't bog itself down with « Male Cow Poopoo » like YW3. SO glad in YW4 they made all the protagonists just one big party and HAILEY ISN'T INCLUDED. I « Snuggly Bunny » WONDER WHY???
Though I will say that I'm pretty much putting all on my 3DS backlog as 'rainy day' games as with the shutdown of the eShop being announced, I'm going to use my 2DS as a place to hold all my favorites, like a curator lmao. Gonna grab all the digital only titles I love and probably pick up the season pass for Shadows of Valentia.
So, my actual backlog currently is:
Egglia Rebith (just unlocked the Floating Gardens)
Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden (releases tomorrow)
Persona 5 Royal (just started, will slowly pick at)
Edge of Eternity (bought this on a whim, we'll see how it goes)
March is gonna be a big gaming month for me so I'd like my backlog clear if I can manage it. Only only thing is I need to finish up the hub story in Monster Hunter Rise and I intend to do that this week. It shouldn't take too long, providing I get a competent team for the key quests with minimal wipes.

Hey guys! I found that I couldn't really start Life is Strange properly until I filled out the Pokedex fully in Legends Arceus, so I went back and got all Pokemon to research level 10 and got the shiny charm. Now I'm okay with calling the game good and done. I finished up Life is Strange Remaster on Tuesday and finished Before the Storm Remaster last night. Today I'm gonna be playing Captain Spirit and the first two or three episodes of Life is Strange 2.
After I'm done with that series, I'm going back to Danganronpa. I got the collection for Switch in the mail a few days ago, so I'm fully prepared for that.
After that, I don't really have anything else to play except what's left in my backlog. For reference:
Still don't have a PS5, so that leaves me with a bunch of Final Fantasy games and Kynseed. I'm waiting to play Kynseed until it comes out of early access (which I think is soon if I remember right?), so I'll probably play FF5 or 6 to call the Vita good and done or pick up Mass Effect Andromeda or Dragon Age Inquisition. The next new game is Rune Factory 5 and I cannot wait!

Well, that wasn't too bad. I had a very uncomfortable day, but I may finally be feeling a bit more comfortable at the end of it. Was so tired it beggared description from about noon on, left ACNH running for about 3 hours while barely touching it at all, but a bit after supper hour I actually did play some. Got the materials donated to Timmy, paid off my first house loan (tent was paid off on the first day), and gave Blathers the items needed to get the full upgrade to museum. I was so tired before that, though, that I couldn't even think of HOW to play, lol. Lots of stuff happened today that's too tiring to talk about, lol.
After that I showed my cousin Xenoblade yet again. I hadn't shown her the Definitive edition, and she watched me play a bit (and understood my description of the battle system, this time around...either I got better at explaining, or she got better at understanding...or both.) I had to excuse myself for potty and pills and left the controller with her to do whatever she wanted, and she started to like it, it seems. Was doing well with the battling, and was getting invested in the main story, too. It'd be great if we finally find her another game she'll really get into, other than BotW and ACNH. Particularly if it's Xenoblade, imo, lol.
Portia is too absorbing/addictive; I can't deal with it atm, since I need to be able to pick up and set down whatever I play very easily. For now and probably for a while; not sure when it's likely that I can get more deeply into gaming again. Though Variable Barricade is out in a week and otoges are very easy to pick up and set down, so that'll be fun...it's nice to play something new.
Kinda wonder if my cousin would be interested in Jenny LeClue. I've never had her try a game like it, and it's fully voice-acted, which she really likes. I don't think I've ever tried her on any kind of puzzle game. HMM. That unfinished ending is a problem, though, particularly for her.
I'm too tired to be awake, so I'm gonna stop being it, now.

One week to Elden Ring. I'm equally excited and terrified. The PC specs got released this week and people are kind of pissed because they are AWFULLY high for a game that looks like that. It doesn't look bad, but not like it should require a 1070 and 16 gigs of RAM. Fromsoft tweeted the specs initially and got so much backlash that they tried to take the tweet down and ended up basically releasing the same thing.
Hopefully they can work on some sort of optimization patch in the future because that's kind of miserable. My computer can handle it, but I don't have a lot of wiggle room... At this point I think I'm only curious about reviews to hear how the game runs.
Still just sort of puttering. Gonna be taking some time off of Genshin for Elden Ring, so I've been doing a bunch of quests I never got to. (Had the game set up on two monitors so I could draw while a bunch of cutscenes played.) The new event starts tomorrow, so... I figure it won't be a problem to knock that out in the next week either. That's the biggest thing in the whole patch so. I'll have 5 weeks with nothing else major.
Still kind of waffling on spending my Lantern Rite wishes on Yae Miko or not. In her trial run she's more fun to play than I initially thought, but... I dunno how well she'd slot in with the characters I've already got. We're like 8 months into Inazuma and I have ONE character from the region, whatever that's worth...
Edit: I forgot! I'll post more if it's interesting at all, but there's a Genshin Impact GDC talk up on Youtube now! Title is something like "Building an Anime Open World", so that could be good. :D The world is my favorite bit!

Have fun with FFV, Ronin! Defs one of my faves. I hope the Pixel Remasters jump onto console once they're done releasing on Steam.
----
Hah, silly me thinking the story in Monster Hunter Rise would be over in unlocking hunter ranks! They did the ol' fake out ending and now I must grind ranks to proceed with the next part of the story. I'd be more upset, but layered armor is now unlocked for literally any armor I'm able to forge so it's GLAMOR TIMEEEEE~
Well, on the plus side, this literally gives me a reason to go back to all the quests I've skipped and do them as they'll count towards my rank exp. Finding people to do them with though, ehhhhh. I find if you get on early-mid morning, online is full of the Japanese audience and they're pretty great at filling in spots and being a good team. I like playing with them very much, because they get « Cow Poopoo » done as opposed to whoever the hell I was dealing with in the evening. I carried an entire team through a Tigrex fight because apparently none of them remembered how to heal nor dodge. The higher ranks in these games really separate who knows how to play and who got carried.
Side note: really enjoyed the 'final but not actually final' boss. My favorite types of battles in MH are the ones where you're fighting something larger than life and you're given mounted bows/guns/canons to do tons of extra damage. I used to purposely do the battle that takes place on a ship in MH4 just because it was so redonks fun.
----
Played more Persona 5 Royal and I stopped just before sending out the first calling card. IDK when I'll get back to it now that Voice of Cards is out.

I was so tired yesterday that I forgot to place the shop before I quit! Had to nudge the game back a few hours to do that, then return into the game on the proper time. Well, I guess there's no getting around being a little scatterbrained atm. Didn't remember to take any of my first batch of various pills yesterday, either. Hopefully that doesn't have any repercussions, lol. I did eventually remember in time to get the second batch of 'em.
My first set of 3 villagers were instantly chosen when I put the plots down. I'm apparently getting really icky villagers. Cheri is okay, but Nana and Elmer are a big NO. Well, I am going to be swapping ALL of my villagers out anyway, so it doesn't matter...I'll let the spots get filled by whoever the game wants to stuff in.
Now I feel like playing Xenoblade though, lol, since I started a game for cousin. I could finally try blazing through the story on my NG+ file. I've never done a Xenoblade (1) playthrough without doing ALL the quests, let alone essentially none of them. Be interesting to get fed that story at a fast clip. I may have to try that.
Lent out XC2 to my bro-in-law, who started on it right away. I know he's waiting on Horizon Forbidden West, which releases tomorrow, so XC2 may get dropped pretty quickly.
EDIT: Thankfully I made this post, cuz it's the only reason I remembered my mid-day pills this time! I've just got to get the feeling of routine back and then I probably won't be forgetting quite so much.
