Anyone remembers how many friendships points you need to invite someone to your party in RF4?

3 hearts, I think, though some character requirements vary.

Yeah I know you can’t ask Doug until you’ve beaten that second plot line. I’m not there yet.

Doug's not the only one with special requirements, though. Volkanon, for example. Venti, of course...and Blossom isn't an option, ever. Not sure if there's anyone else with special requirements beyond that.

I think I'll get Puzzle and Dragons Gold (on the Switch) and Puzzle and Dragons Z + Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Edition on the 3DS.

YES. I downloaded this last night and leveled myself up to about 50. ^_^; I played the mobile version around when it launched, but I hit a wall and couldn't progress - I wasn't sure about party composition, creature leveling, and was kinda bad at the puzzles. I was terribly addicted to it, but there are so many systems that I've never been able to jump back in. Thankfully, the Switch version eliminates all the party stuff, so I'm just stuck with not being able to score high multipliers on the puzzles.
It was really inexpensive, and so far the gacha elements are negligible - I pulled two really good parties with just my level-ups. I tried to talk myself out of buying this since I knew it would be a time suck, and even finally bought the 3DS version, which I also struggled not to buy on release. I'm glad I did though, I'm having a lot of fun.
I've done... maybe 4-5 of the single-player areas, and tons of the event dungeon. Highest I've placed is third, but I'm more reliably finishing 6th, haha. I'm just about to earn the 500 point achievement for that dungeon, but I'm not sure I'll get the 2nd place achievement. Tried the permanent multiplayer dungeons too, but I've only gotten those to load a couple times, and I'm stuck on the shielding mechanics for those enemies. I usually load with one other person and 6 bots, and the bots have thoroughly trounced the humans every time. ^_^;

I've never played Puzzle & Dragons before and wanted to try it out. Yeah, I'm not very good at the game yet either, but it's really fun. I still have to buy Puzzle & Dragons Gold (Switch) and the 3DS version as well.
I've only done up to the third of the Quest/single-player areas. But, I'm almost done with the third area. I did a lot of the event dungeon as well. The highest I've placed is 6th, I believe. But, I did get the 50,000 points achievements. I've done 1/5 of the 500 points achievement (probably around 110 points or so), so I still have a way to go.
I tried the permanent PvP dungeons as well. But the event dungeon is more fun, I think.

Hello! I did not, in fact, get sucked off the face of the earth. I got sucked into P:LA, instead. In related news, I finished the main story.
The game was good. I mean, it could definitely use some polish in places. The story, while charming, needed some better build up for certain late-game events, and while I'm usually very forgiving on graphics, the super-close pop-in effect and the 5 frames a second animation on distant pokemon was. Yikes.
The gameplay loop is solid, though! It really feels like you're going an an adventure, exploring new places and finding new pokemon. You still need to engage with the battle system, but it's in service to the research tasks, instead of being the whole point, which somehow makes it feel different.
I'll probably see if I can't mop up the rest of the pokedex tasks this week before switching back over to KH2 - or maybe play the Triangle Strategy demo, to see if I truly do want to buy that when it comes out soon?

I do NOT like time-traveling in ACNH. It's so confusing! I don't mind nudging the clock back a few hours if I forgot to do something, doing that thing, then righting the clock again...that never seems to get things out of order. But anything else...argh, I get really turned around.
I did TT one day. Oooooone day, and I'm all confused again! I can't remember why. Resident services was shut for reno, and I wanted something inside it, I think? Anyway, I did...one day forward.
Yesterday, Mabel showed up for the first time. Then she showed up again today! At first I was baffled, and wondered if it was because of TT-ing, but then I realized I hadn't TT-ed yet when that happened, and it's because she came on a sunday and a monday...the only time a guest can show up two days in a row, ime...when the visitor schedule turns over. Duh. Anyway, after that is when I TT-ed, and when I righted time again, Mabel was still there...but I guess it counts as a new day, going back? That made it her third visit. (In some ways, it doesn't, though!) Anyway she only seems willing to build after you spend 5,000+ and are on her 3rd or later visit (even if you buy nothing on the third visit) but the result is that I not only got to place the campsite (in process!) but also the dress shop, and because today was the day the town hall got upgraded and I rerolled today, I got the "hey, come to the airport" call from Tom that sets off the Paradise Planning stuff.
Gotta wait until at least tomorrow to get a camper and move them in, and then be able to start placing extra house lots. Not sure when I'm allowed to start putting down bridges and inclines...maybe tomorrow? Grandma-care is becoming more all-the-time demanding, though, so...not sure. I can always play something in the 6AM-8AM bracket because I'm the only one awake, then, but everything else is up in the air. Evenings are usually an option, but I tend to fall asleep then, lol. You'd think I was older than grandma, with how skipping an afternoon nap does me in!
I'm not searching out any villagers, though. I'm letting the game plunk in whatever it wants to, since I'll be replacing them all, anyway.

I played some yakuza like a Dragon today. Am on chapter 3 right now, but didn't check how many hours before I turned it off. I didn't have a blanket so my toes got a little frozen and I wasn't sitting well enough to support my neck properly...feels better now though. It was just uncomfortable I think. Have to remember to sit better and get my blankets back for next time and I should be more comfortable.
I'll probably play more tomorrow? I have some sidequests to finish off in cold steel 2, before I get on with the story, but I'll probably start it up again soon. Sometime this week probably, alongside yakuza and my ds/switch/psp games. I would have played more of yakuza if I could but I got in all the tv gaming I could for the day. Wouldn't have been able to focus on it well enough if I tried I'm sure.

Um...so speaking of Majora's Mask, I have no idea why Youtube recommended this to me, but... sometimes it does things right. Little viral video:
"Africa by Toto but its played on instruments in Majora's Mask", and it's great.
2 days to Elden Ring...48 hours remain. I got taunted with the prospect of a review today because apparently part of the review embargo for this game is not being able to say when the embargo lifts, which is incredibly stupid and I blame Bamco. But there's only 2 days left, PC unlocks at 6pm EST Thursday, console at midnight Friday. ???
I haven't checked since this morning but so FAR my key has yet to arrive either, which I am a bit salty over. Twitter says you can preload 48 hours early... So MAYBE by tomorrow. That would be super.
Trying to get through the quest for the new weekly boss in Genshin. I've heard a couple different people say it's like Sekiro, which could be interesting. Difficult combat in Genshin Impact, you have me intrigued. Not a bad quest, either. This update is very much a filler one, but I really can't say I mind, especially now that I'm playing in the morning. It's a nice, no thoughts head empty activity for when my head is indeed empty.

AC really streeeeetches things out. There are dead days between everything, where your progress is stuck and you have to wait for the turn of another day (or two or three). I don't remember it being this annoying the first time, lol. All I want is for Isabelle to hurry up and give me an island evaluation (star rating) but the ability for her to do that just won't unlock. You have to upgrade and get Isabelle. Done. You have to place the campsite. Done. Got to wait til next day for the campsite to be built. Done. Wait til next day for a camper to occupy the campsite. Done. Get that villager to move in...TBC.
Julian was my camper and his plot (and all other plots!) has been placed, and he's moving in...but of course that won't happen until tomorrow at least. Without any 'extra' days padded in there, I should have been able to get an island eval on Monday, but as it is, it looks like the earliest possible day for one is actually Thursday.
I can't put down the bridge I really need until I get terraforming, cuz the land on the other side of the river mouth is lumpy/not the right shape to receive the bridge, by a half space. It fits, but it has to have one full space of land on each side, and on one it only has a half space. *grumble* I'm not willing to put much else down right now because I'll just have to destroy it later...I'm going to be moving EVERYTHING and raising and flattening quite a lot of land, so I don't want to waste money putting down bridges or inclines that'll just have to be moved, later (I wish you could move them like you can with houses, rather than fully destroying and rebuilding them.)
Having played the game fully already, these extra little bits of waiting are just aggravating, cuz all I want to do is indulge in gratuitous landscaping (but without wasting money cuz I don't want to have to raise it again! I'm very done with fishing to make money.) The villagers and the museum and all are just chores to me, this time around.
Well, I can't actually play much anyway. Grandma is only content if she is managed/kept company constantly, particularly in the afternoon and early evening. The minute she's left alone, she starts talking about 'going home' and getting really angry if no one tells her how to do so, or if they try to explain that she already is home. Reality just doesn't make sense to grandma any more, but I'm the only one who will fully humor her. (My sisters humour her, too, but they're not around much.) Mom and dad rile her up by 'explaining'.
Looking forward to Variable Barricade, anyway. I need something fresh. I feel trapped and stale in this crazy house in winter, so I hope it really is funny; I find most of what people describe as 'hilarious' to be only worthy of a few light smiles, most of the time. They tend to end up more more cute than truly funny. Though cute is okay, too...just not quite as good.

Currently playing:
Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone (3DS)
The Expression Amrilato (Steam) (for learning Esperanto)
Hatsune Miku connecting puzzle Tamagotori (Switch)
Puzzle and Dragons Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
Best Friend Forever (Switch)
Recently beat:
Pokemon Legends Arceus (Switch)
The Land of Screens (Switch)
Letters - A Written Adventure (first playthrough) (Switch)
Games beat in 2022: 3
Upcoming games that I'm going to play:
Distant Memorajo (Steam) (for learning Esperanto; will play after The Expression Amrilato)
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Switch)
Kirby Planet Robobot (3DS)
Demos I'm interested in playing:
Suhoshin demo (on Steam) (A Korean visual novel taking place during the Joseon Dynasty (1397-1897) where you investigate a string of mysterious murders.)
Two Leaves and a bud Tea Garden Simulator demo(on Steam)
Chinatown Detective Agency demo (on Steam)
In Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone, I started on the second introductory lesson, a tree. It's a lot more complicated, I think, than the cherry or tulip. So, I'll be taking my time with it.
In Puzzle and Dragons, I did a bit more of the Quest dungeons (single player), and I'm around 3/5 of the way done to the 500 point achievement on the Event Dungeon. I even got 3rd place once.

But I don't think I'll get the 2nd place achievement.
Also, 2 days ago (while on a drive with my parents), I started Best Friend Forever, as I didn't want to play only puzzle games for however many hours we were going to drive. It's really cute. It's a dog-raising simulator and (People) dating simulator. I got a Shiba Inu that I named Momo, and I'm going after Felix as my first choice to date.

Oooog... you're giving me the warm fuzzies over here....! Thank you for believing in me!

I'm FREE from my food poisoning/stomach bug after two days of agony. I'd say I'm at about 70% functionality, still feeling some aftereffects but I don't feel like I'm dying any more. Needless to say, I didn't get much gaming done. I wearily watched a good chunk of Umineko's
Alliance of the Golden Witch until my headache got too unbearable. I also did one run of that dungeon in Endwalker for that minion I want and no dice lmao. BEFORE I got sick, I actually finished the first chapter of the second Voice of Cards game and started the second. Meant to try and play more but I never got past the Switch's home screen. Ended up putting a long lasting ice pack on my head and sleeping til the next morning, which is now. So much for going in hard on it this week lol. I still want to finish it before Triangle Strategy drops next week, so hopefully I got time. It's still too early to tell, but I think this game is much longer than the first.

Whee SkillUp Elden Ring review is up.

Haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but he's a good boy I trust it when he says listen to the review for no spoilers.
https://youtu.be/gfcJv3oZNcc (
Edit: Review over. MINOR spoilers for systems/abilities, that's it though!) Green Man Gaming keys have released, too. So I can preload tonight! Excitement is really creeping in now. Only a couple minutes into the review and it sounds like a GIGANTIC game. No idea if I'll be able to beat it all but I guarantee I'll get my money's worth.
Got through the new Genshin boss this morning and THE DAMAGE. The only issue I had with it was getting stun locked. Had to reset several times because two of my characters got stun locked to death. Definitely the hardest boss in the game, no Sekiro vibes though. Except for boom boom dead.
They're definitely making you earn Yae Miko and (I would guarantee) Ayato.
