Journal Forum Suggestion?

Hello! I've been playing HM/SOS since I was a little one, but didn't know about this forum until I got SoS:AWL! I always used Fogu for walkthroughs and help, but I really love the community and everything that has been put into the website :3

I was just thinking, would it be possible to have a forum category where each user could make a Journal? Kind of like a 'private' board where anyone can read it but only the user can post, and that way people can keep track of things that they like to and decorate posts if that's what they're into!

As an example, I could have a journal where post 1 is an intro and links, post 2 is my SoS:AWL info I like to keep track of, 3-6 etc is reserved for future games or links, etc. And then we can post to it like a diary as we're playing to keep track of our thoughts?

Interesting idea, but the forum isn't really set up as a journal platform. Probably the best location for something like that is over in Posting Games, but there isn't a simple configuration option that would restrict users from posting in another user's forum topic.

that makes sense! I know when i was on pokefarms they had the journal setup and it was so much fun customizing with bbc code, but I can't remember if they actually turned off other posters or if it was just "understood" for the category, and posts could be deleted if the owner didn't want them. Thank you! :3

It would be cool, in a way, but I doubt it's doable with this board's format. You'd basically have to create an entire board/forum under each user's profile, where only THEY can create posts, and others can comment, by permission or otherwise (but not make new topics). Kind of like giving every user their own board where they're the sole moderator. I don't think this forum can be made to work that way.
