Hi, I can't remember if I've done this before (might have, but it's probably been years). I thought I'd ask what everyone's play time was on various home consoles and handheld (Switch, 3DS, Wii U, older systems, and non-Nintendo systems). One thing is that you can't include PC/Steam, as play times on those games can get ridiculous.
First, I'll start with my New Nintendo 3DS XL, which has all the original data on it from my first 3DS (original model).
1. Animal Crossing New Leaf (My original; physical copy) 391:27
1.5 Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo (digital copy) 20:15 (Total time: 411:42)
2. Yo-kai Watch (the 1st one; 3DS) 320:42
3, Pokemon Sun 276:41
4. Pokemon X 235:12
5. Pokemon Omega Ruby 136:49
6. Pokemon Ultra Sun 135:03
7. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (3DS) 121.38
8. Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits 118.01
8.5 Yokai Watch 2: Psychic Specters 49.36 (Total time: 167:37)
9. Pokemon Rumble World 116:36
10. Pocket Card Jockey 104.29
Total time: 2,024:29
Honorable mentions:
11. Pokemon Shuffle 104.01
12. Nintendo e-shop (3DS) 100.35
What's your play time?

This thread is a bit difficult to participate in. Most people here have Switch...many seem to have completely retired and/or gotten rid of their 3DSes...but Switch doesn't actually list playtime. It lists it for only the most recently played games. I'm very unsatisfied with the list I'm able to scrape off the Switch, especially with several of my most-played games having had their times reset at some point...it doesn't feel worth being offically 'listed' at all, but we'll go with this:
860 hours in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
655 in Dragon Quest Builders 2.
300 in Farm Together.
205 in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive. (Many more in XC3D on 3DS, though, and some on Wii U, as well.)
200 in Tears of the Kingdom
Breath of the Wild's playtime reset on me, (as did Dragon Quest Builders 1) so I don't know the true hours for it, any more. (Plus that's spread across several profiles. I know it's more than I've put into Farm Together, though, since it shows that way in the Libary, which means it's above 300 hours but below 655 hours. I figure it's around 350. And maybe 320 for DQB1?) If I add those 5 games' playtime together, not including BotW or DQB1, it's...2,220 hours. Not that I'm sure why I wanna add them together, the're scary enough on their own, lol. We're pushing close to three thousand hours if you add in DQB1 and BotW's playtime, but not including any of the other dozens of games I've played (all for less than 200 hours apiece, though, I'm pretty sure.)
Those are the only ones worth mentioning within my 'most recently played' area of my main profile on Switch. And from teh way things are listed, I think the Library shows playtime ranking by the time EVERY profile has put into it, rather than just one, which is unhelpful.
I wouldn't have minded listing a few games from my 3DS, since it has great play activity logs. HOWEVER...I have TWO 3DSes. One 3DS XL, which is my original, and then my NEW 3DS XL, which I got to be able to play XC1 for the first time (WORTH IT!) Oh, and the second and third times too, of course.
My 3DS times are currently too much of a pain to list, since I've got the two of them and NEITHER of them are charged. I'd have to plug them in for a while to even be able to turn them on. They're put away, and so are the cords. If I do charge them up and figure out which one to bother reporting on, I can come back, but at the moment it feels like too much work, to report my 3DS times. Too bad the Switch didn't keep better play activity records. Be great if it had the same system as 3DS. Well...maybe they'll finally get around to a proper playlog and themes in Switch 2, whenever that happens.
EDIT: Okay, my New 3DS is charged up enough now. I have some data for it:
EDIT 2: Original 3DS:
So, if we add all my 3DS times together for the top 6 or 7 games, it adds up to...3,573 hours.
Well, I guess that's not actually a surprise. I prefer to live in the world inside my head over the one outside of it, after all.
I don't remember how to get into my playlog on Playstation, though I'm sure I could figure it out quickly enough. Still, I think this is probably enough playdata. Playstation SHOULD be less for me, but with Trails and Tales and Ys being on there, perhaps not a LOT less.
Wii U would also have some significant hours put into XCX and Twilight Princess, but as a console it'd be trailing behind all my others. Wii U just didn't have the library of any other console I've ever owned.

Guess I'm not a hardcore player as I used to be when I wasn't a mother. lol
I tend to quit games when I'm almost done with them...
1. Stardew Valley: 130h
2. SoS AWL: 78h
3. SoS FoMT: 155h
4. Graveyard Keeper: 70h
5. LEGO Jurassic World: 97h (100%)
6. LEGO Marvel Superheroes: 82h
7. LEGO LoTR: 33h (100%)
8. Wylde Flowers: 52h
Those are the games I played the most on the past year. Currently playing SDV, giving AWL a rest.

Sorry, Kikki. Maybe my original post wasn't clear enough? I meant to say I would be providing my Nintendo 3DS data first, and then later writing about my Nintendo Switch. I also meant 'what's your playtime on any and all consoles since they started being able to do that?' (if you still have the consoles) (from my memory).Kikki wrote: ↑Aug 13, 2023 3:48 am This thread is a bit difficult to participate in. Kikki, I'm curious. Why do you have 2 3DS models with two separate data logs? Why didn't you transfer your data over to the newer model?
I'm guessing since the Seventh Generation of consoles (Seventh eight, and currently ninth.) they've been able to record and show player data.

I'll try to find a way to post my Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U memories.

I had multiple reasons, but the easiest one to state is that I wanted to be able to play with my own alternate in games like AC and Bokumono. I wanted two accounts. There were a few things I'd have liked to transfer to my New 3DS, but since you can't pick and choose, I just left everything I already had on the original and started fresh on the New.Harvest Moon kawaii wrote: ↑Aug 13, 2023 1:40 pm Kikki, I'm curious. I can't give you specifc hours any more as I've long since gotten rid of my original 3DS and it's original account plus the Switch's history system is a royal pain in the « Mr.Gourmet's hat ». So, instead I'll just go my memory on which games I know for a fact that I spent over 100-200+ hours on. I'll keep it limited to Nintendo consoles as well.
3DS Titles
Samurai Warriors Chronicles
Monster Hunter 3U
Monster Hunter 4
Monster Hunter Generations
Fire Emblem Awakening
Fire Emblem Fates
Fire Emblem Echoes
Animal Crossing New Leaf
Pokemon Y
Pokemon Moon
Pokemon Alpha Saphire
Rune Factory 4
Harvest Moon A New Beginning
Tomodachi Life
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
Switch Titles
Animal Crossing New Horizions
Pokemon Shield
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Hollow Knight
Monster Hunter Rise
Splatoon 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade Chroincles 3
Breath of the Wild
Dragon Quest XI
And that about covers it. I do have a few games that I'll eventually hit 100 hours in, but for now they're in the 70-90 range until I replay/continue them (ex: Tears of the Kingdom, Pokemon Violet, Fire Emblem Engage). Honorable mention goes to the copy of Pokemon Platinum from my high school years where I clocked in over 400 hours.

That's what I meant when I said this is a difficult thread to contribute to, btw, Harvest Moon kawaiiBluie wrote: ↑Aug 13, 2023 6:24 pm I can't give you specifc hours any more as I've long since gotten rid of my original 3DS and it's original account plus the Switch's history system is a royal pain in the « Mr.Gourmet's hat ». I didn't go by memory, cuz that would drive me crazy. I need relative precision. So I opened up any of my most-played games that weren't in my recently played category, to get them in there, to see what my play time was. I didn't have the cartridges handy for them all, so didn't check a few, and two games had their times reset (cuz Switch for some reason does that sometimes, to some games). Anyway, that's what I meant about it being difficult. It took a fair bit of time to write a reply.
Though if you only have 20 games on Switch, then it'd be quite easy, heh

If you go into your main list of games on Switch, you can sort by playtime, which kinda gets you in the ballpark if you remember your rough times when the games are on the play activity list. Unfortunately, I got a second Switch, and playing games on both resets play time (more or less - it's complicated), which is infuriating. I only have three games that got caught in that in a serious way - Animal Crossing, Diablo III, and Labyrinth of Refrain. But I also have two places to check for games I played a lot of.
My memory is terrible, and I just checked the OLED Switch, but I'm probably forgetting a couple. This is just the ones over 50 hours, though the last few might be 45ish... I'm thinking Bloodstained was 50, and the others are showing more time.
My highest Steam game time is Stardew Valley, which has 100hrs clocked, plus another... 30-40ish from when I don't synch the save files. Haven't touched it since 2018, though. The bigger PC culprits are probably Diablo III and Sims 4, both of which I'm afraid to check.
3DS was... uhhh... Theatrhythm was highest, and I think that was over 100. Oh no, Animal Crossing was higher, but only over 200, I think. Somehow, the Etrian Odyssey games were not that high. I clocked around 80ish hours of OmegaRuby. It's probably charged enough to check this, but I did not play as many 3DS games as I do Switch, so looking at the (extremely nice) play log is depressing. I also have multiple 3DSs, because I liked the newer models and couldn't give up my old faithful original. I have two main profiles, one my partner uses, and a third that, probably for space reasons, only has the 3DS Rhythm Tengoku game on it.
