July is less than two weeks away, now, K8sMum, hang in there. Time for another farmy playthrough with Caitie?

About Farmagia. Specifically about the title...

After listening to how much they talked about 'magus', I'm pretty sure now that the title isn't really about Farm-anything. It's about the 'Magia' part. No doubt they like to pun a little and get a double meaning, but I think it's closer to being Far Magia than Farm-agia.

As for why I don't think I want it, I talked a lot...then realized it was simple. I didn't see a single thing about Farmagia that looked fun. That's why I don't want it. I want to farm veggies and fruits and flowers, NOT monsters. I don't want to play a combat-heavy RPG with a cliche story. And I don't want to play anything that looks like Fairy Tail. I guess that's my summary.

I don't want it to bellyflop, though. I don't want Marv to see a financial setback that could stagger them too hard, that'd be worrying. Please come in strong with Story of Seasons as soon as the Switch 2 is released, okay, Marv? And Hakama, show us some RF6!

Thanks, Kikki. Her birthday is the 30th. Just a couple more weeks of getting weepy then things should get better. I'll probably do a Rune Factory 4 run thru with her.

We should probably add Farmagia to the farming game list, I think.

Also, just happy to finally see Metroid Prime 4 and another Mario & Luigi game. The Switch is the only console to have every single type of Mario RPG game if you think about it.

I was so surprised by the Nintendo Direct this time. :) I kept my expectations low since most of the other game announcements I saw in late May and in June weren't very good. But I was amazed how many things were announced overall and how much of it I was looking forward to. :)

Games announced at the June 2024 Nintendo Direct that I want, or am interested in:

1) Mario and Luigi: Brothership (Nintendo Switch) (November 7, 2024)
2) Hello Kitty Island Adventure (Nintendo Switch) (Early 2025)
3) Farmagia (Nintendo Switch) (November 1st, 2024)
4) Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (Nintendo Switch) (January 16, 2025)
5) The New Denpa Men (Nintendo Switch) (July 22,2024) (free download)
6) The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Nintendo Switch) (September 26, 2024)
7) Stray (Nintendo Switch) (Holiday 2024)
8 ) Ace Attorney Investigations Collection (Nintendo Switch) (September 26, 2024) ($40 USD)
9) The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- (Nintendo Switch) (Early 2025)

My first thought about the Direct was "that certainly doesn't feel like a Direct for a dying console". There were some really interesting announcements in there, even a surprising amount of first party games. The most exciting one for me is the Edgeworth collection, which I'll definitely be getting (but probably later since I still have to play the second trilogy of previous games). New Zelda game looks interesting too, but probably the kind of game I'll borrow off of my sibling later if they get it since they're the Zelda fan in the family haha. The exploration looked really fun to me though, reminded me a little of Minish Cap in a way. Farmagia actually looked kind of interesting to me, though it's probably something I'd get on sale (if at all). Denpa Men was a huge surprise! I bought those games before the 3DS store shut down, but never expected to see another game in the series. Potentially interested in the Dragon Quest remakes as well. Overall a solid showing of games for the end of the Switch's life!
My video game piano arrangements (including Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, and Stardew Valley!) :lala:
