I might be the only one here who loves hello kitty, but thegame runs well on switch. It does have online play but it’s not cross play. Switch players can’t play with steam players.

I watched gameplay by both Eeowna and Josh. The character creation looks fun since the little nubby tubbies are super cute and customizable.
Unfortunately, the gameplay looks incredibly boring, lol. I can't remember Eeowna's opinion, but Josh was 15 hours in (he's had it for two weeks already) and says he found it rather shallow and not all that compelling and that was how the game looked to me, too...overly simple, without the depth I need to get into something. So it's not for me.
Cute, though.

Ah, here we go. Yesterday there were TONS of live streams of Hello Kitty but they're all horribly, painfully long.
Fortunately I just saw a shorter (still 15 min, though) review/opinion video from Josh, made after yesterday's stream (though he had been playing it for quite a few hours before he did that live one.) So if you'd like to see a summarized opinion from someone in the 'cozy' community who played it for a decent length of time rather than just for a few hours yesterday, here you go:
(Toward the end he also recommends another YouTuber who has a different opinion than his. Fleurs.)
What I'm picking up from both is that it really feels like a mobile game. (Which it is, in fact...a port of a mobile game.) So it's not very deep, it's on the grindy side, and it's very overpriced for what it is.
But cute. Have yet to hear from anyone who doesn't think it's adorable. Josh dislikes that you can play with your brain turned off, and Fleurs seems to like that you can, so it depends on what kind of player you are and what you're looking for. I hate brain-turned-off gaming, so it's a no from me. Though I'd love to play with the character customization...I'm not gonna pay AAA prices just to create a few cute duckies. (Well, the deluxe version is full AAA prices. The regular version is something like $53 CAD, but still too expensive for what this is, to me...it's something I might get it if it cost no more than about $25 CAD.)

That being said, if you want a physical copy of the game, it appears like that will happen this Spring.

I bought the deluxe version day 1. I haven't played much of it (only 15+ hours in) because I was trying to finish 9 R.I.P. (really close on that one, only a few hours left. Otome games take so long to 100%.)
I really love Hello Kitty Island Adventure and am so glad it came to Switch since I didn't have money for an iPad and was really upset it was only available on Apple products until now.
I seem to have reached an impasse at the moment, but only because I haven't given everyone all their gifts daily. I might go back for the third time today and do more soon.
I honestly haven't done much fishing or critter catching and I've ignored the temples. So, maybe I should get on that. The visitor cabins, too. So, I guess there's a lot I can still do.

Still playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure and still haven't completed it yet (story, etc...). I'm playing it every day as there are almost constant daily rewards to get in addition to tons of events (related to daily rewards).
I finally figured out how to Reach Pom Pom Purin and Pekkle (it was embarrassingly easy) and I couldn't figure out how for forever!! I have 75+ hours, but a lot of that time is idle time.
Is anyone else still playing? Or maybe even picked up the game? It's extremely fun. I can't wait until even more content is unlocked in the Nintendo Switch version (version I have) by it being brought up to speed with the Apple Arcade version.
Some things in this game are tough to figure out and I have to look up guides.
Honestly didn't expect the game to be as fun as it is, and I still have a ton of things to do. (Story, quests, cabins, temples, furniture making, etc...)

Loving this game SO much!!!
Working on side quests, inviting new characters, and leveling up friends (mostly done with that)....and working on trying to grow ALL THE FLOWERS!!!! There are a bunch of different flower types...and each can grow in 27 colors....and then they can have different patterns! Loving it!
For folks that are concerned it may be boring, there's main story quests, side story quests, friendshipping, the challenge of moving in visitors, the aforementioned flowers, birthdays with quests, regular events....and the devs want to support the game for a really long time! There's a bunch of stuff on the Apple Arcade version that will be coming to Switch/PC in future updates, too!
The game is super cute and cozy! And while it doesn't have a ton of farming, there's the flowers and foraging. I get the same type of gameplay cozy/routine vibes I get with SoS/HM games!
