Hey everyone!

So recently I got back into Harvest Moon Animal Parade and tried to create a Stardew Valley inspired Perfection challenge for it. In the process of this I found out some possibly new information about crop profitability for Animal Parade. I'm linking my google sheet (I hope that's okay). You will want to navigate to the tab labeled "Crop Profit" as the rest is just random stuff for my Perfection challenge.

Anyway to the nitty gritty:

Assuming DDJ's guide on Game FAQ has accurate soil quality to crop quality percentages then the best soil to use for profit isn't the darkest or 'perfect' soil but the second darkest or 'good' soil. If you are planting all season long the best crops to plant for spring are the cocoa. Summer remains the honeydew. Fall is the Rose. Winter remains the Snowdrop. The key here is season long as I did all the math focusing on most profit per tile per month.

As an example: You can increase profits by 12% by switching from strawberries in 'perfect' soil to cocoa in the 'good' soil.

If you are going for Ultimate then Roses are the easiest as you only need to plant 152.

I did make several assumptions. Since I haven't tested every crop in every soil condition I always assumed minimum growth time. Any calculation that uses harvests per month (growth time) is denoted in red on the sheet. Since the most profitable soil type was 'good' I am hoping it is enough to ensure all crops also have minimum growth time. If anyone in the community has any data on this please let me know! Also its entirely possible I made mistakes in my spreadsheet. I looked over it several times but I am still human and did this mostly late at night when I got a chance.
Spoiler:
I might have a small min maxing problem
