Hi, welcome to my “I’m depressed, and I need a motivational project” project. Just kidding—kind of. I, as a young child, bought Hometown Story way back in 2013 when the game first came out. I finally managed to beat the game for the first time a couple years ago, and last summer I started working on a proper guide for this game. I got a little burnt out on the game, and life has been hectic since, but I just picked this game back up yesterday and am continuing to work on a guide for it.
I’m aware that there’s a lot of shared hate for this game, and there was much room for improvement. I myself have had many moments in which I wanted to give up on this game and trash it, and I was way too close to finally doing this during the course of my last play-through. However, after beating the game once, I’m confident that I’ll never have trouble beating this game again. All it takes is a ridiculous amount of note-taking and patience, and I’m here to share my notes with you!
I am going to share the information that I already have, and then I will continue to update this thread as I progress through the game.
This game has my heart, and I hope that my fellow farmers will take interest or maybe even give this game another try if they still own it!
