At the HMFG site it says Gourmet's alt. bday is on the 20 and his BDAY on the 21, but he only comes to town on the 22

That never occored to me. hm. This is sorta in the same genre, how do you give him gifts if he's only there for the cooking festival? You couldn't give him anything in FoMT.

I think in the 'for girls' version, he will stay for a bit after the cooking festival is over.

*hides Gourmet shrine*Yes, he is incredibly hard to marry. You only get once chance a year to give him gifts and he has a heart-meter just like all of the other characters. Even if you win all of the festivals required you still have to get him to like you before he'll accept your feather. I'm almost in my 7th year and he has yet to take my feather from me.
You can unload about 40 Elli Leaves on him before he "poofs" away until the next year

Sounds a bit wrong to me but I wouldn't mind if he left since he kinda gives me goosbumps. The first time I saw him, with those big lips, I thought he was some overweighted bird with a big beak.

Why would you wanna marry that morbidly obese monster anyway? He's annoying and not to mention that he really needs to take some friggin' stacker 2 or something.
