They cost $130 in the USA. I got a DS Lite and they're the same price.

In general terms DS lite is better... It's slightly smaller (the screens are the same size though), weighs less, has a brighter adjustable screen, and generally looks cooler but it does cost a little more.

The older DS's will be phased out completely before long. I don't even think nintendo is bothering to manufacture anymore. They've all been retooled for the DS lites.
