OK,
People have been talking about different versions and stuff. And how Natsume didn't know anything about it until referred to as HMDS.
I'm here to resolve this. I have done things with both Natsume and other companies including IGN and Nintendo.

In a way there are two versions. Japanese and American. They both have slight differences. But not much.

Natsume didn't know about HMSS because that's the Japanese version. Natsume isn't doing the Japanese version, only the American version which is being referred to as HMDS.

HMSS= Japan, Marvelous Entertainment
HMDS= America, Natsume

Get it? And the versions aren't very different, don't worry, don't buy both. It's just translation, the name of it, and some small graphics changes (the characters mostly), but not much, not enough to make a different game play experience.

So there ya go. Reply with any questions, comments.

There is a possibility, but I highly doubt all of them will get cleared.

Based on you ability with the English language, I find it hard to believe that you've worked at Natsume.

First of all, the information appears to be accurate.
Seond of all, I did research of my own and the guy is not lying.
Third of all, this is not the first time accusations have flown. PLEASE be sure of what you are saying and be able to back your accusation before attacking someone.

Im sorry but your post made no sense to me.Your saying Natsume doesn't know what HM:SS is?Of course they do.If we know then they know.HM:DS and HM:SS are probably the same game, just in different languages.Also I highly doubt you've worked with Natsume.

Then what's the thing with the wi-fi communication? Is that a different game or is the American HM:DS game going to have it :?:

Natsume has drop off the HM sub-titles in the past when they bring a game over to this region but not to all of them :) The 3rd Gameboy game was really "Harvest Moon: Boy Meets Girl" but the subtitle was dropped and replaced with "Harvest Moon 3 GBC". On the other hand, the subtitles for the GBA and Gamecube versions have remained intact.

For the newer DS version I can see them dropping the term Sprite Station since it's a little ambiguous about the game itself. While "Friends Of Mineral Town" was a good description for the GBA game (making friends and all), I don't see Sprite Station being very usefull. I hardly even use my "station" except to check the weather. I'd like to use more of the Channel 5 (DJ) but the songs reset to the default season song every time I use the teleport stone so there's really no point except for nostalgia reasons.

Kyle, there has been no confirmation yet that MMV's California-branch will be taken over the translation ;) They could be there to assist with speeding things up for all we know.

I also don't see any reason to make 'graphical changes' to any of the characters in SS. The design is just fine the way it is. What does need to be done is resolve the multitude of coding problems with the game. You know something is out of wack when you watch Brodi (Gotz) stop working and suddenly take a diagonal bee-line from where he was working to flying off of the screen, opening the animal barn door on the way by.

I'm sure there are a lot of Natsume employees. I wouldn't expect every single one of them to know every game the company is working on. Heck, even I work in a building with a hundred or so people and I have no idea what people do on the other side of the wall from me.
