july 26? clarification needed

hello. i have a question about this game's release date. on this site, it says july 12, but on every game company site i've looked at (gamespot, EB games, etc.) the date of release is july 26.

i was wondering if it had changed, or if this is just the canadian release date(i live in canada).

i am confused. any help at all would be very, very appreciated.

it was suposed to come out January, then June, then July 12th. but i just asked my EB and they told me they were getting a shipment on August 3rd. and now i'm hearing from other sites it's coming July 26th? i'm so confused!

well now that amazon, all game faqs, and even natsume say it mabye it's true lookie here
www.natsume.com idont have time to give you a direct link but if you check on amazon and gamestop they will tell you the exact date they both said 7/27/05 was it

it might mean that the game comes out on july 12 but it may take a few days for it to reach the outlest of the different game dealers

so it's the date that the store recives the shipment, not the date that the game itself is shipped?

yes, in Europe it is supposed to come out in June. I don't know the exact date, but I am jelous of all you Europeans!

on the plus side i am beating a lot of other games while waiting for the release, i just beat oracle of ages again, for instance.

anyway, just wanted to thank you again for clarifying it for me, and for doing it so quickly. on some boards it can take a week before you hear from anyone.

so...thank you all very much, especially Owen_hmpro. i was going insane, over here. i know it sounds stupid, but that whole idea never even crossed my mind... sorry if i confused anybody, and again, thank you. this is one of the most helpful video game boards i've ever been to.

Another site I went to earlier said it was being released on the 28th, but Gamestop's date is the 27th. It does make sense that the official release date is different than the date the stores start selling it, though I always figured that the "official" release date WAS the date it was sold in stores. That they ship it out beforehand and the day the stores are supposed to officially start selling it IS the official release date. That's why sometimes a game store might sell something before its release date, if they get the shipment too early or aren't sure when they're supposed to start selling it.

And my particular gamestop says that they will not be getting the promotional puppy plush until some time next month, despite the fact that I've heard it was available now.

But we Europeans don't have any precise date to wait, you Americans can count days till July 26th. We'll just have to run to shop every day to check, whether tha game is there or not.
