Ok when I got the shopping channel I first bought the tool chest and I wanted to buy the next item. but when I got to the channel you know there's that table with the item on it well when I got there it didnt say the price of the item and the table had a item on it but it was like a silver box. so what should I do

Oh and at the scientists house and when you go in they'll look at a bottle then the maermaid can go home. does she go home because I want to marry her

That box is what is shown on the table in between items for sale. You can't buy it.

so what do I do with it do I wait until they get a new item

Yes wait until they offer a new item for sale - they usually offer a new one every week. As far as the mermaid, she does return to the ocean but I believe you can go to the beach and visit her at midnight on Tuesdays.

After she goes to the ocean, you have to meet her early in the morning on Tuesdays at the beach, I think at 3:00 AM. (Not 100% sure of the time.)

that happened to me too
i didn't know what to do...but all it is is a little box that comes when there is no items for sale or when you have bought all the items from the store.
