I'm still new to the game and I cannot figure out for heck why I cannot score high for the animal petting/grooming game. In fact, I can't figure out how the touch panel game works at all. No matter how hard i scratch and mangle the DS touch screen, I can only get a green heart for all my animals. And there seems to be an angry face when you scratch some places you are apparently not supposed to. How does one score all those stellar scores in this game? I hve yet to get even one measly heart for any animal I keep, I am beginning to believe that animals in this game are a pain, thanks to that touch panel.... ;(

You won't get a heart on an animal for a long time. Rubbing an animal is worth 1 point, and each heart is at a 10 point level.

To get a high score you just have to rub quickly. Try to keep track of what location on the animal the bonus hearts pop out of, and go for those spots.

Chickens and ducks are the easist to get 'red heart scores' on. I hardly ever suceed on cows and sheep because their score requirement is too high.

So it should take 10 days to get 1 heart?

I missed a zero each heart is 100 points, 10000 points for all 10 hearts. You can get 1 point for brushing, 1 for milking/shearing, and 1 for talking. It's listed in the sticky topic about SS information.

So it take 100 days! Wait it take 33 days! 100 divided by 3= about 33 days!

Haha, I thought it looked funny that you would only need 10 points yet you said it would take a while!

Well 34 days to be exact. I'd like to know what loses points for your animals though. If they stay inside do they lose 1 point or do they just not earn the 1 point for being outside? Does whistling for your animals help or hurt their heart score?

But its already WINTER and I have still yet to see 1 heart for any of my starting animals ... even if I talked to them everyday, they should have 1 measly heart by now right? But no ... oh, this is so confusing ...

also, do chickens lay eggs the first day you buy them? cos mine did not even after 3 days and I'm thiking of going back to Popuri for a refund

NO it takes 33 days to get 1 heart!

umm if its the way they have it in FoMT then they should lay eggs every day. But in this game they may lay eggs more offen when they get more hearts i am not sure. ( i dont have the game )
