Is there another mine where I can get ores?

I can't figure it out.

Yeah, the only mine I have open is the first one I think (the one where you can dig up jewelery and perfume and nail polish o.O)

If you enter the main mine a lot, I think only like, 10 times..maybe not.

Anyway, after you've been in there a few times, go in the mine when Kaain is not present (though Furen can be) so any time before 9am or after 5pm is good.

He'll ask if you have your hammer, you'll say yes whether you really have it or not. Then you'll hammer a hole in the wall. That's the 1st mine, only 10 floors. There you can get all you need for upgrading your primary tools.

So he'll ask if I have my hammer when he's not there? Or will he come in or something?

The 1st one you unlock by going in and out of the main one (the one where Furen and Kaain are always in) and entering when Kaain isn't present.

2nd one: make it to the bottom of the 1st mine, enter when Kaain is not present for the scene to occur.

3rd and 4th, same as previous. Make it to the bottom of the previous mine, you'll open the next one. Four mines in total.

I'm not certain wandering in and out a lot is a prerequisite.

True, I wrote that 'cause I heard it and it stuck with me.

It is probably just a matter of entering when Kaain isn't present and then making it to the bottom of the others to open the next mines.

Yeah, I opened the first and the second in the same day. Man, those little animals are violent (I think they sap your energy when you bump into them, too >.>)

If you're wearing the blue Goddess hat bumping into the animals actually increases your stamina. It makes it nice when you can leave the mine with your stamina back at 100.

Where do you get it?

You buy it from Van. He will offer the red witch hat and red goddess hat first. Then about a year later he'll offer the blue set of hats.
