Could someone post a picture of the basement. Also what is it for? Do you put stuff in it??

Are there shelves in the basement or do you just throw it on the floor?

There are no shelves in the basements it's just floors of tillable soil. I usually plant 6 3x3 squares of stuff down there. There is also a watering hole in one of the basements. So far I haven't been able to grow any giant veggies down there yet, I don't know if it's even possible.

Perhaps the material used to build the basement is the problem... I used wood since it was plentiful and I doubt a basement could be destroyed by bad weather

How many basements do you have? My 1st and 2nd basements wouldn't work, the game froze up as soon as I started down the stairway. But once I built my 3rd basement all 3 of them worked just fine. However, I don't ever leave a basement floor without something planted on it because to begin with my 1st basement worked just fine. When Gotz finished it I was able to go down the stairs, but then I went and made some seeds and came back and the game froze up at the stairway. The same thing happened when Gotz finished the 2nd basement. I had actually tilled the soil in both basements and when I came back it froze up again. So for the 3rd basement I made sure I had seeds and it's worked just fine. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but I don't want to take any chances.

Is there any way to destroy a basement once it's built? I know Gotz has a demolish option, but I could only get it to work on outside buildings.

I can't even walk down to my basement As soon as I reach the staircase to go down my game will freeze.

I dont think Gotz can demolish a basement

Thats too bad, thats really weird. I wonder why it does that?

Hopefully they fix it in the English version

If you haven't built the 2nd or 3rd basements yet, then there is still hope. I had to wait for the 3rd one before mine started working.

Yes, mine too only started working once I got the 3rd basement. I've been too afraid to use the other levels though..

Luckily all 3 of mine have worked, but I've been afraid to switch the stones in them or leave a level without something planted in it.

**nods** too scary. 'cause once it freezes, it never works afterwards! It would stink to lose the basements for the rest of the game.
