I got a cursed fishing pole in the third mine. I equipped it. Then I phoned the churth. After the church people removed the curse, the cursed fishing pole was gone. Why? It's different from FoMT.

There are two options when you call the Church. The first one removes the equiped tool (and is less expensive) while the second removes the curse and leaves the tool in your equiped slot. To de-curse an item it costs 100,000 G.

After I get the blessed fishing pole, do I still need my regular gold fishing pole?

If you want to upgrade your regular fishing pole to the mythic level (highest level) then yes you'll still need it. I don't believe you can upgrade the blessed fishing pole in this game, at least I never figured out how to.

i have never done that before so like if you accidentally sell the item to the church then can you ever get it back or get a new one????

I don't believe you can sell anything to the church. You just have the option of either blessing or unequipping.
