If someone hasn't posted this here already(I'm not going to bother to read 142 pages) but there's a cheat to do walks as much as you want. You get to keep the items but your dog doesn't get walking experience and you don't get any trainer points. What you do is when you are drawing your path make a detour to the park before you go home(after you have drawn the path to the items). When you get to the park save there and power off the DS. Power on and you will be at your house and you will be able to go for another walk.
