im not that satisfied with my last dog,yorkie,so i got it cuz i liked it but not that much and ish using it unlock the shih tzu by walking it...and such...X.x...then if i like the shih tzu i will get that and think about the corgi ^_^
I wasn't really clear (well I didn't quite understand) so even though you don't bark is it possible just to see them wandering around? Or do you have to bark? To see that dog just wandering around?

its possible to see them around walks...even though you havent connected..and its best if you use the word "connect" then "bark".....-.-...or "bark mode" it sounds like we actually need to bark like a dog....o.o...

oh i thought you meant the type like the breed...if you meant the your sister's actual dog then no....if like her dog's breed yes...but you might not always see the dog cuz its randomly picked in your game...and even though you do see the same breed but its not really a big of a deal seeing a breed...o.o..cuz its not like you unlock it or anything...when you see it in the park your dog plays with it and thats all then if you come across with their owner and give advices all it does ish fight or become friends..this affects your dogs mood...
