Please Note: In this topic you can ask for help on getting your DS online, or anything about any of the WiFi games offered on the Nintendo DS. This isnt just for connecting.

Nintendo DS WiFi Information
*Checking/Adding Friend Codes*
Ive heard people say "Whats my friend code?" or "How do I check my friend code?" Well, ive written this up on checking friend codes.
You have to have connect to the Wi-Fi online game, before you get a friend code.
Also some people dont know how to ADD people to their friend code list. Well here ya go! Again, you must be able to go online to do this.Checking your Friend Code (Mario Kart DS)
1) Go into Mario Kart DS
2) Click on 'Nintendo WFC'
3) Click on 'Friend Codes'
4) It will say 'Confirm Friend Code'
5) It will have 2 boxes, the bottom one is your friend code, it SHOULD be 12 numbers (random)
*Connecting*Adding Friend Codes
1) Go into Mario Kart DS
2) Click on 'Nintendo WFC'
3) Click on 'Friend Codes'
4) It will say 'Register Friend Code'
5) Then you have to type in their 12 digit friend code.
6) After you type in their friend code, it asks for their name. Just type in whatever name, their Online Name or Real Name. Im pretty sure both work.
Here are directions I compiled on connecting:
If you dont have a router, I suggest buying a router. If you dont have a router, and you still want to play online you need to buy USB Dongle. As of now you can purchase one ONLY from here.
To connect you need:
A wireless router
High Speed Internet Connection
1 ) On title screen click 'Nintendo WFC'
3 ) Then click on 'Nintendo WFC Settings'
4 ) Then click on 'Nintendo Wifi Connection Settings'
5 ) Then Click on 'connection 1' it should say 'none' on it
6 ) Then click on 'search for an access point'
7 ) The System will search for a wireless access point in your range, once it finds one or more you will see it appear on a bar. If it has a blue unlocked lock (I know confusing) click on it
8 ) It should search that access point and confirm it.
9 ) It wont finish testing the connection but if it continues to search just quit the system and then boot up the DS again.
10 ) Then you should be able to go into the 'Nintendo WFC' and see 'Nintendo WFC Match' and then you can battle people from there![]()
I also suggest buying one because if you go to a friends house or other family member's house, and you HAVE to play your DS you can just use this, because chances are they have a high speed Internet...
*Getting your Friend Code*
When you enter the Wii menu, If you go to the message board you can find your Wii Friend Code, If you are connected to the internet.
