Yep! I got to "marry" Daniel even in my glitched US version. Sometimes you have to save and keep going to bed to activate it, since sometimes you don't even get a dream at all.

I've never tried getting the New Year's Dream event. I like getting the Buckwheat Noodles. (no flour... )
