Because I have HM: DS, and HM Friends Of Mineral Town on GBA.
It says in the DS book that the people from HM on GBA will come to that town HM: DS.
Well the Doctor came to my town and I went up to him and he said he was Trent from Friends Of Mineral Town, don't believe me then buy both games and put them both in the DS wait till you see him in the HM: DS game and go up to him. But his name is Trent. That is my final word! Trent!

BB, no matter how many times you say it, there will still be people who will say 'His name is Geraldo!' or 'His name is Tim!'.

Yes, but the arguement against that is that HMDS takes place a couple generations after AWL, which took place at the same time as FoMT. Therefore, the FoMT doctor cannot be the same as the character in HMDS.

However, as I have stated before, I call him Geraldo because I like the name (possibly from being indoctrinated in my early Ushi days xD), not because I think it's his official name.

Although, it does have a printed OFFICIAL SEAL, and I can't argue with that. :P

What do we know to be fact?

I have heard many times that the doctor's name is Tim. Can someone please tell me where this theory came from?

As for Trent, it is a possibility, but we're always going to have that doubt that lingers with each reminder of the generation gap thing.

Magil, it comes from BTN. Ellen said something about Elli making sandwiches for Tim all the time, when she gave you the recipe. And in the game Stu gets a puppy and names him Tim. I have written the entire story several times in this thread alone, too lazy to search for a quote.
