I think this is a really area maximizing farm, fitting everything in quite nicely. This is the farm I use, I created it myself. The only thing I did wrong on this for pure aesthetic reasons, the top three sheds should be lumber, stone, golden lumber, then the middle two being the mushroom house and maker shed.
As you can see, lots of room, everything fits, including lots of crop areas.
Fences can easily be added below the first line of crops to make the top into a grass area for livestock. The duck pond is low on the screen, but can easily be substituted above the sheds on the left to be near the barns.
One thing that I find very useful, is after your crops are growing and have started to spring up, fill all the unused rows with grass, as this makes a nice grid for you, and eliminates the pesky weed/rock/lumber issue for a season.

This order could be rather complicated...
Poultry Barns: 6 - Put one 3x3 grass patch out each
Animal Barns: 1 - Put what is needed outside it
Silo: 1
Wood Shed: 0
Stone Shed: 1
Golden Shed: 1
Mushroom Shed: 1 - Placed handily for quick access each morning.
Maker Barn: 1 - Placed handily for quick access each morning.
Pond: 1 - Instead of a fence in one area, seperating two of the chicken barns.
Trees: 0
Crops: 0
Fences: Yes. Surrounding the grass patches. But please make the fields for each animal to graze individual as I like to put my animals in the same barn each night.
Grass: Yes, one 3x3 patch outside each chicken barn and what is required for my sheep. Also, please put one large unfenced patch to cover my fodder. Not necesarially large - I only have 4 livestock. >.<
EDIT: My attenpt:

Silo isn't close to barns. D:
Animal and poultry barns should be seperate for easy use. Not mixed.
Crops would work better put together.
Not enough grass to feed animals. Unless they're inside.
But if the animals are outside, wouldn't the plants make it hard to put them in? And they'll wind up all over.
zomg. critical. Sorry. :b
NO MORE ORDERS! Need to get caught up.

Kitty Samauri - I've noticed your Silos are always by your barns. Why?

It technically makes more sense that way, the fodder silo being near the barns it sends food to

Also, could the barns be enclosed by fences (obviously loosly) for easy turn-out access? I'm trying to re-design my farm. Except the pond, seeing as I'm already married to Leia, and cannot demolish it. @-@;;
