You thing YOU have it bad... I got my file deleted. Three times. And yes, I save in both slots.

I save in both slots after everything I do. I also save when I go to bed and when I wake up (after checking the weather). I'd hate to have the game freeze after petting 10+ animals and having to pet them all over again...

I save a lot and before I go to sleep. It's better to be safe than sorry.
