How to wake up cows w/o pissing them off

Push the cow/sheep/horse when your right in front of them so ur pushing on there head. They will wake up and do a 180 degree turn and stay awake <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :eek --><img src=http://www.fogu.com/ezboard/emot_surprise.png ALT=":eek"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> . This doesnt work on chickens of course tho. <p></p><i></i>

This is called "bumping" and it moves outdated and irrelevant topics to the top of the list, when they no longer matter. It's rather annoying and confusing
The best way is to look at the date of the last post in a topic. If it's more than five days old, replying might not be a good idea. So if you don't want to miss out on stuff you should check this site and reply to stuff at least twice a week. New posts won't be older than 4 days that way and you can still reply to them.
The best way is to simply look at the dates. On some forums (such as the Webpage Comments, HM3 and River King forums) people hardly post, so even stuff on the front page may be old. Just look at the dates to be sure.
