Anyway, congrats on getting a DS Lite. I'm hoping to get a black one for my birthday.
Derek lives in Canada. Canadian stuff is always more expensive D:

Congrats on the DS lite :)
I love my big old fat DS <3
It's not more expensive. It's the same. It's just that our currency is worth less than American. So we have to put more of it to make the same price.

149.99 Canada Dollars = 128.104 United States Dollars

Once converted, stuff tends to cost less in canada.
Like I think that iPods cost like 5 dollars less here than in america.

I will eventually get the new pokemon games (when they come out in NA), animal crossing, mario kart, phantom hourglass (when it comes out) and supoer mario bros and other stuff i think looks neat

I started with an original Nintendo DS, then gave my buddy my original Nintendo DS, and preordered my Polar White Nintendo DS Lite and got it on Launch Day... then traded my Polar White Nintendo DS Lite in for a Nintendo DS Lite Onyx Black, now I'm waiting for the Light Blue Nintendo DS Lites to come out in the US and I'll trade in my Onyx Black one for the Light Blue one!!!

I want that one too

I have a light blue one. =] They're pretty much the best ones.

Just to make an additional point, currency conversion is not always accurate. Ones you see online are generally very up to date (some as much as the current value the last 24 hours, to the current value down to the last 5 minutes). Stores, in general, don't fluctuate their own prices to reflect the current value of their currency on a day to day basis so there will always be some discrepency in prices between different countries.

That said, technology is generally a little cheaper in Canada, but fast food is a bit more expensive, so it balances out.

Congrats! I love the onyx black DS Lite I was given as a birthday gift in November. Though if the blue one comes out it may tempt be away from the sexy black.

I recommend Animal Crossing, and also in March Lost in Blue 2 is coming out. That should be good. I hope.
