I was playing FoMT and when I got my new DS and Harvest Moon, I used the game for getting the special features for HM:DS and then I decided to play FoMT and I freaked out because my file was gone and I was kinda sad because I had Elli at a red heart and just needed the money and house expansion stuff. >_<

Ditto. HM: DS is too glitchy, so I don't play with any GBA game in the other slot while it's in my DS. Yes, I'm paranoid.

Just start saving in both slots and you'll be okay.

D'aw, my sister's copy of FoMT just acted really strange: made weird noises, turning itself off, and it deleted both files

Yeah! That happened to me once before too... question though. Can you actually load games? Like, can you go into the game, save something, turn of your GBA and then does the load option come up? Mine erased the file and I cant restart because it gives me a save option, but when I turn it off and back on again, it doesnt register that there is a saved file. My good friends at my local computer game shop told me that this was because the internal battery had run out... so they just have to replace it (I'm still waiting! Aargh, and my old game wont be on there! I can see where you're coming from with it being painful...) So yeah, if your thing has been erased might be because of the battery inside the actual game.. thing. And apparently its quite easy to fix so just take it down to somewhere that does that sorta thing and guaranteed they can fix it right up... I think. I'm sorry if someone has said this before but I cant be stuffed reading it all XD
Hope I've been of help...

I had gotten really far and my sister who had the other file accidently erased mine. I was very sad/ angry at her because all my hard work had disappeared. However after a few weeks, I accident;y did the same thing to her.

I've never had my file erased, but I think it would be safe. You could use both save slots to be super safe I suppose.

I saved over my file once, and I got mad. Then I 'lost' my game to rage. It was sort of fun, but not that intellegent on my part.
