Now that I'm fed up with the DS version, I wanna go back, so I need to ask all of you who continued playing after their file went byby if you file continues to just disappear? Or is it safe to get hooked again?
If this happens to you, then there could be an issue with your game physically. I doubt it'd be a software problem.

Shake your game cartrage. Do you hear rattling? If you, everything you shake that the files will be erased.
Well, that's how it is for me and some of my GB and GBA games.
Like my Pokemon Gold. You shake it, it rattles, data is gone. Unless you can keep it from... Rattling... For instance, buying it it's own gameboy and never removing the game cartrage.

I like my silver so I don't bother doing that, but.... That's my two cents.

That may not be, in the least, at all, what your problem was.
That's just my own personal experience with wiped Game Boy game files.

I feel for you and certainly hope that it never happens again, will all my heart. I'd personally... Freak out... If that happened to me. There are two things I protect the most: The saftey and liberty of my family and man kind.... And my game save data files.
