My file got erased a while ago, and I haven't been able to start over. It's too painful. Now that I'm fed up with the DS version, I wanna go back, so I need to ask all of you who continued playing after their file went byby if you file continues to just disappear? Or is it safe to get hooked again?

No, never o-o
I always check before I saved, but since I only have one file, i'm not worried :3
Keep playing, if you got to where you were once, you can do it again.

No, deary, it happens because people don't check before they save, glitches have nothing to do with it.

Did something happen to your game? drop it? did it go through the wash?

Nope. I played for 5 minutes, saved, turned it off. Turned it back on 10 minutes later, I couldn't continue. It just said "Start" on the title screen. One of the worst days in my videogame history. Happend to a couple people here

Mine was never actually erased through a glitch. But my friend erased it when I let him borrow it once...

Where did you buy your game? O_o how long have you had it? Did you buy it used? Why am I asking so many questions?

I erased my own game on accident--right after I married my first bachelorette ever.
I cried for a while...then I got over it.

This seems to be quite a common problem (though it never really happened to me), and has nothing to do where your game was bought (I mean maybe in half the cases but that does not explain the rest of the cases).
I bought my game from Toys 'R' Us via Amazon.com. My game came in its official box, with its full-colour instruction booklet. However there was a time once when I decided to do some serious mining. I got to Lv19 and the 2 files started losing their data. ("No saved data", and "Save failed" when I tried to save over the file with 'no saved data') Fortunately I was able to reload the other file and I made sure everything was fine again before I shut off.

I never had, but I've heard a good few people complainging their file got deleted. My copy and my sister's copy are both second-hand, but they were pretty good quality to start with anyway, so I'm not worried. Also I get bored with them after a while, when you're married and 8 of each animal, so if it got erased it would be fun to start over
