I always imagined her looking similar to Manna, with the same sort of hair-cut, only shorter. But her personality would be more like Duke's - less passive and more aggressive.

Didn't she leave cause her parents fought too much? Or was that just a cover-up story? I think she's where Kai goes at the end of Summer I reckon she has long hair, obviously black cause both her parents hair is black...

EDIT- Actually, I think, Aja ran away and became a pro driver but one day got drunk on a big race day and then had a crash and then felt bad and wanted to change her life so she sobered up, joined the circus and changed her name to MIMI! (HM:DS) That explains it (Not really...)

i think aja looks like manna maybe with longer hair, has black eyes, and her reason for leaving would probably be more of a wanting to get away from crazy drunk dad.

I picture Aja to have long, straight black hair which is always tied back, a somewhat tomboyish yet popular attitude, and a successful job in the city. Possibly, as mentioned previously, as a race car driver. Maybe I'll go and draw a picture of her dressed like that...
I'm guessing she's around 18 to 21 years old. Manna doesn't look very old to me... maybe 40-ish... so I don't suppose Aja would be too old herself.

You're implying that Karen is an alcoholic, hm? If going to a bar and getting drunk makes you an alcoholic, most of the US legal drinking age population and nearly everyone on any college campus are alcoholics. And in the game, Karen goes to the Inn, sure. But so do almost all the village men. And yet no one is calling Basil or Saibara alcoholics o.o

The only one deserving that title is Duke. Not because he goes to the bar, but because his drinking has caused problems in other areas of life. His debt to the store, him neglecting his wife and so on.

And about Aja - am I the only one that remembers that racecar driver reference?

Karen might not be an alcoholic, but it seems more logical in that sense.

Remember the wine duel she had w/ Duke? She beat him. And if Duke is an alcoholic, then it's reasonable to assume that he's built up a great resistance to that substance. Karen is even more resistant to alcohol than Duke, as demonstrated from their wine duel incident, so, at least, Karen should be classified as a 'hard-core' drinker.

The first HM game that I've played was FoMT, so I don't know much about Aja's profession.

well actually , HM64 implied that Karen was a alcoholic and i guess when they made BTN and FOMT they ripped that info and stuffed it into the game . Wel thanks everyone , I now have a clear description of Aja in my head and I'm going to make her whole story very intresting ! Please look forward to when I post my fanfic ! ( which will take forever to write because i'm gonna explain sooo much..... )
