Alex frowns because he has so much responsibility, being a doctor, and just because he doesn't want to see you come to harm.

if you can't tell by my avatar and sig, i'm a major doctor fan. sure the doctor is a major workaholic and it might tick you off a bit after marriage, but i'm a bit of a workaholic myself so i can relate.

as of now, my mineral town girl is stuck in a loveless marriage with cliff and the doctor is still emo and like, "why didn't you marry me claire? i'm a failure!" i'm thinking of restarting the game just to marry doctor.

I am totally obsessed with Doctor!! As you said, he is a workaholic, but then I write down almost everything the characters say in HM DS, so I guess we were made for each other. Just look at my quotes thread, sorry I can't post a link to it.

yes we know that it's all docter trent. but docters leave you behind and don't even say hi. they just say let's get started and get over with this 0.o

Ummm, yeah. And the head-thingy too. I always thought of Doctor as Alex's cousin three times removed or something. Or even just plain cousins.

I honestly can't see anything past the "I work hard to help people/You should take care of yourself" and the "I need to try harder/Thank you for helping me." If you took those phrases away, there would be nothing left to the various Doctors. I just find his character to be very shallow, but because he's a shallow character he doesn't have any real negatives.
...
And Alex's laugh sounded like a zombie in MM. He creeped me out every time I gave him a herb.
